Godly Dating: Short Engagements vs. Long Engagements?! 

Finally some realness here! As a Christian, I don't think we need to be dating for like 4 years plus it's like a playground for Satan lol

I have a 5 month engagement. some of my family complained that it's too short compared to the norm. Huh, yeah cuz the norm out there is that you have sex before marriage. Please don't compare our relationship to the world🤦 The world is NOT an example.

This video just confirms to me that I really do want to have a short engagement! So many of my friends think I'm crazy because I believe that I could get engaged within six months and married in another six, so long as I know that this is God's best person for me - but I don't see why not! Thank you for increasing my faith today. Although I'm super single right now I'm going to keep trusting God will bring the right man at the right time.

Agreed. As a Christian, I definitely don’t want a long engagement. Everyone’s situation is different. Because of planning, long distance, and things, I know a couple that had to wait a year. Longer than a year? Absolutely not! I can’t even wait a year.

Marriage is okay, yet, it requires work. If you are unhappy single, you"ll be unhappy married. No rush. Single, engaged, or married seek GOD's will. Sex is not a reason to rush an engagement or marriage. If no discipline to wait while unmarried, there's no discipline to stay faithful when married.
