THIS WHOLE BAND DOES AMAZE ME HOW GOOD THEY ARE LIVE ,and that coming from someone thats not a fan at all but also thinks Awake is the baddest song ever wrote next to Freebird i just forward these vidoes till i find it ,but dont care for the rest , i dont know my head little out of order to.
It's crazy how the late 90's, in particular early 2000's produced a lot of awesome heavy metal talented bands like Godsmack, Disturbed, Korn among others. The crowd here was awesome. They were alive!!!! Two bands in particular peaked at around the same time not just musically but also in terms of popularity in my opinion. I always felt like there was a bit of a Rivalry/Competition between the two great bands. "Whatever" single never gets old. Makes me want to get on a motorcycle for a ride on the highway/ interstate. Godsmack vs Disturbed. I was always a Disturbed guy, but I do have one of Godsmack's CD. The Oracle.
This is the Godsmack that got me addicted. Best version of bad religion I’ve heard. They still rock, but Sully has definitely calmed down a bit with age
Sully is a monster.. they are still absolutely great my favorite band. They use to be super intense definitely know how to bounce the crowd. I like em better with Shannon on the drums tho he's a beast
Keep Away from me!
Look at the passion 😁 on stage. I seen Godsmack last week in Birmingham England. It was a good show, but unfortunately the passion isn’t there anymore 🥲
@@metalmellie4371 I actually wrote that because fans often look for similar sounding bands when they like their music but can't find them because they're often unique in their way. Years after that the artists will lose their voice range with age and that's the end of unique sounding bands. Legendary and with an expiry tag, as all good things are. Some bands like Godsmack, Metallica, Linkin park, Rammstein, Disturbed will always be known for their unique sound. Heard of them?
His corroded arteries have always stuck way the hell out like that. I miss this Sully, Angry, Vulgar, Unpredictable, Growled like a Madman, the Don't Fuck with me Frontman. I stopped listening to them when I got the album four, which obviously was written in Roman Numerals. They've completely lost there edge as a band, "Bulletproof", that's a PopRock song for christ sakes. The first three albums were pure Rock and Metal Jems, no longer unfortunately. Too bad Sully hasn't quit smoking yet, he'd still be able to growl if he did. My apologies for rambling on there. It's just that Sully is one of the main "Metal Vocalist" that actually helped teach me how to growl, he pretty much was the main one. Cud from Mudvayne I also learned from when I was in high school. Now a days it's more New Metal Bands like Phil Labonte from, All That Remains, I love the way that dude Growls and Screams, he puts a lot of Intensity behind it, and you can indeed feel the strength in it. Again, sorry for rambling.
Tommy did 2 albums on drums, all the other ones after awake has been Shannon Larkin, who I have learned to live his style, he's a much tighter , flashy, and rock solid
Tommy performed on "I Stand Alone" on the Faceless record too. The reason being that it was done for The Scorpion King film earlier, and then included on Faceless shortly thereafter once Tommy quit the band.

ok so i just started listening to Godsmack about 2 weeks ago, ofcourse I am hooked ... Then I noticed the drummer changed in the later stuff.. i liked the first one, but Shannon is amazing to watch...I cant get enough of Godsmack.. Tell me what you think about sullys music he did on his own..and also can you tell me why the first drummer was replaced? ALSO is the woman in the Sullys music he did with out Godsmack his woman??
I think Sully's album is beautiful , and like he say, its a another part of him, different from Godsmack part. Tommy is the original drummer of Godsmack, and he leave the band (personal problems, after that he join again before the debut album) and the second time in 2002 (personal differences with other guys about music). About Lisa from sully's album - no, they are just a good friends.
First you gotta remember that Sully was a drummer before being a singer, he played and wrote the drums on all his first Godsmack's albums. When Sully started Godsmack, Tommy Steawart was the first original drummer, before they get signed Tommy left the band thinking they are not improving fast, He was replaced next by Joe Darco who will be out after too. Sully then had called his old friend Shannon Larkin to join them, but he was with a band called Amen, Shannon as a loyal dude he couldn't left his current band for Godsmack, and then it was TommyStewart in drums again. In 2002 Tommy and Godsmack part ways for some music conflicts. A few weeks after Shannon had left his band Amen, Sully did call him, then he is in since. Regarding the women involved in Sully music, according to his book, Keep Away is a song about a girl named Lisa he was in love with, she broke his heart and left him and also married his friend, she was the reason he broke with a girl named Erin that loved him and was loyal.
debbie widner Shannon Larkin grew up where i did same high schools and such happy he joined my fav God Sully they just are the best just saw them at lunatic luau in Va Beach !!!
