@@bloodcrusnik7418 Yes, mostly are dynos. But you can go with Ramos Dragon Engine as general, maybe? He's 5colors and gain power for each color in your casted spells.

eh ball lightning makes you sac it end of turn anyway though. rakdos, lord of riots loves ball lightning. godzilla, eh, not so much. negating lethal damage doesn't really give you much of a benefit on something that dies at EOT anyway

It's toughness is not changed

[disclaimer: not a judge] I tried to look at the rules and i think that it would't work, because technically damage doesn't kill creatures, they die as a state-based action when the damage marked on them is equal to or greater than their toughness (or power, if godzilla is in play). Therefore if the commander is out and you cast a 0/X, as soon as the sba are checked (i.e. as soon as you get priority) it dies because it has at least 0 damage marked on it: 120.5. Damage dealt to a creature or planeswalker doesn’t destroy it. Likewise, the source of that damage doesn’t destroy it. Rather, state-based actions may destroy a creature or planeswalker, or otherwise put it into its owner’s graveyard, due to the results of the damage dealt to that permanent. See rule 704. 120.6. Damage marked on a creature remains until the cleanup step, even if that permanent stops being a creature. If the total damage marked on a creature is greater than or equal to its toughness, that creature has been dealt lethal damage and is destroyed as a state-based action (see rule 704). All damage marked on a permanent is removed when it regenerates (see rule 701.14, “Regenerate”) and during the cleanup step (see rule 514.2).

However, if the oppentent long it for 1 beforemjt went off, I suppose it could die? But there ismsnergy between the cards!

I think the trick of it is having 0 toughness doesn't make your creature die to having 0 damage marked on it, it dies immediately to state based actions. This doesn't change the way the state based actions work, it just changes what is defined as "lethal damage". Lethal damage must be marked before the creature can die to it. So I think it just means that they die to literally any amount of damage.

So what i'm getting is that the damage required to kill it(lethal damage) is 0, but it still needs to take that damage. Say [Magmaquake] where X=0

i think i saw Josh Lee Kwai talk about this on his twitter, but i believe it is a yes. I'm pretty sure when your commander mutates into another creature that new resulting creature becomes you're commander

Yes, but if your 0-power creatures took any damage, they'd die. As long as they don't take damage, they're fine.

Nope! That's why Godzilla is worded the way he is. It doesn't actually swap their power and toughness, it just makes it so that the amount of damage necessary to kill the creature is equal to its power. It still needs to actually take damage, though, since it doesn't have 0 toughness. (Though, on the other hand, Mire's Grasp would kill Godzilla, for example, because giving him -3/-3 isn't actually damage, but still reduces his toughness to 0. I'm also not sure if, say, a fireball where x=0 would kill a 0/4 in this deck. I'd imagine it would, but we may need to wait for a ruling on that.)

They'll also be in regular boosters but not as often and I believe fewer foils. Also there are 3 of the 19 that are Japanese box exclusive or in collector packs, but will always be in Japanese. And the godzilla jumbos talking about is exclusively a buy a box promo.

Wizards said that these Godzilla cards will be in the Ikoria Collector Boosters. there is also the option of online ordering if you don't to spend $30 on a pack hoping to get what you want

No he's the only godzilla card that doesn't have a normal magic universe art he'll always be godzilla. Unless they reprint zilothra in a later set with new art.

Godzilla still has 3 toughness. The effect is a replacement for lethal damage. For example, targeting Godzilla with Bedeck would kill it because Zilla now has 0 toughness. But If I were to target Zilla with lightning bolt, it wouldn't be enough because bolt causes damage.

@@tempestandacomputer6951 Fortunately, that's not how it works. It's even one of the official rulings listed for the card on Gatherer. "A creature with 0 power isn’t destroyed unless it has at least 1 damage marked on it."

Temur? No way. His radioactive energy is well represented by red, so blue isn't really necessary, despite the color of his flame. I suppose I can see Jund, for certain versions of Godzilla, but not for the "defender of the earth" versions, while green and red are there for every version of him. Those two colors really are the core of his identity. I'm definitely salty that Ghidorah isn't Grixis, though. And that the turtle dragon isn't Gamera. (Yeah yeah, I know, different IPs, but still!)

@@brianlinden3042 Actually my reasoning for blue is for the fact he is a mutation resulted from nuclear testing not the color of his atomic breath. Plus red represents his aggressive/destructive nature. Jund because Godzilla is just an overwhelming force of nature. I do agree King Ghidorah should be Grixis it fits his character to a tee. If Godzilla isn't Temur, which Toho kaiju would you suggest.

I would say temur because his water nature but jund makes sense
