Biggest flaw of this movie. Heard Hedorah was supposed to have more screentime, but it would've made movie too long so they deleted most of it. At this point should've just deleted Hedorah.
I saw Final Wars before Godzilla versus Hedorah and had no idea who the random monster was that Ebirah stabs with his claw. Then my dad and I finally watched Hedorah's original movie and it was so bad that my dad cringes every time it's brought up lol
@@michaelc.8712 no hedorah in the movie was pretty weak he dosent really have the exact same origins as his showa counterpart since its never been confirmed but this hedorah is mostly city level while the showa hedorah technically scales to showa godzilla who should scale to showa ghidorah
@@michaelc.8712 also size dosent really matter considering that this hedorah was never weak to getting dehydrated it easily got one shotted by a blast godzilla's atomic ray while the original hedorah seemed to be immune to it
As I understand from wikizilla's video on Hedorah, this was do to one of Toho's top brass decision (dunno why), and the crew was really angry about it.
@@jasondean2511 Tomoyuki Tanaka was the one that had beef and wasn’t even directed at Hedorah, just his feature film and it’s director. Besides, Toho probably considers his feature film to be more successful than the last movie, which isn’t saying much.
There was a scrapped scene of hedorah destroying the city he was in killed in in this scene and another scrapped scene where it shows ebriah and hedorah fighting godzilla but because toho didn't like hedorah and thought he ruined the showa series for a bit they were scrapped so he gets 27 seconds of screen time
They did one of Godzilla's strongest opponent dirty Hedorah along with Ghidorah and Mechagodzilla were one of the few that came close to killing the big G Hedorah not only tore through his flesh but is also the first among them to taking Godzilla's eye
Showa Hedorah: Was a complete juggernaut who was close to killing Godzilla until humanity came to help the monster king. Final Wars Hedorah: Gets killed by Godzilla’s own atomic breath
Hedorah: where am i- Ebirah: I belive i can fly- ow Hedorah: oh hi Ebirah: Hi there- Godzilla: *shoots atomic breath* Ebirah and Hedorah: Ahhhhhhhh help us!!!!!
Hedorah deserved a better treatment than this. His movie showed him to be extremely difficult to fight and cause some serious damage to Godzilla on par of gigan or mechagodzilla. He burned Godzilla's eyes and killed tons of people with his gas and sludge, this made him look super weak
@@michaelleyroy9701 I would agree I wanted to see more of hedorah even tho he would have gotten destroyed but still he’s such a cool monster it’s a shame he only got like 20 seconds
I really don’t like how they massacred Hedorah. In his debut movie, he was so deadly that his own flesh actually melted Godzilla’s own hand. And it took humanity’s aid to beat him. Here, he gets even less screentime than Zilla and is taken out by Godzilla’s atomic breath
I really do hope to see Hedorah in the monsterverse, especially since godzilla loves attacking California now, it makes way too much sense to put the smog monster in LA
BETTER effects than the Legendary Godzilla movies & Kaiju movies. I wish they made MORE Godzilla movies right after Final Wars, was so many more monsters i wanted to see get a Millenium make-over like Varan, Moguera, Frankenstein, Sanda, Gaira, Megalon, Jet Jaguar & Titanosaurus for instance. 💙
@@dennisjansson6239 lol let's compare how long cgi has been used compared to how long practical effects have been used 😅. Practical effects were being used as early as before even the 1930s meanwhile cgi didn't become a thing til the 80s/90s. So....how is cgi overused when practical effects have been used LONGER? Following that logic practical effects AND cgi are both overused Kills me when people forget how long cinema was using practical effects before cgi became the norm. Practical effects was the norm FAR LONGER than cgi has existed lol.
@@Kaiju-bm4ts Im saying CGI has been overused the last 10 + years. I prefer overused practical effects before CGI, espeially since last decade & this decade.
@@dennisjansson6239 great job, you're basically showing your double standards So by your logic both techniques are overused and shouldn't be used period 🙄
