If you're ever up to trying again, I'd say maybe have another attempt with the container from the first set? This time I'd skip the foil base though, and use the original Godzilla figure that came in the first set.

What an incredible musical score for this video. Positively profound. Up there with John Williams’ Force Theme or the main theme to Pan’s Labyrinth. Also I had no idea about Eye Pop Designs and those buildings look fantastic.

I remember when I was REALLY young, probably around 5 or 6, my mom and I got some Magic Rocks sets. Hers was a mermaid, mine was a treasure chest. They worked great, and we had them on a shelf for years until eventually random jostling broke all the rocks.

Since I grew up with a black and white TV watching Godzilla and reading his Marvel comic I had just assumed he was green actually green. I didn't even find out his true color until this year when I discovered Big Action Bill's Godzilla movie reviews channel. I'd like to think each exists in the Multiverse.

Considering even the toys meant to be based on a specific movie were often green regardless of what he actually looked like, that kind of implies green versions somewhere in the multiverse. And Godzilla Singular Point confirms that there is a multiverse, so having universes where the only difference is that the Big G is green makes sense from that perspective too.

Yo, I had this “toy” as a kid! Probably back in 1994-95, can’t remember when. My mom bought it for me at our local drug store. It worked just like the picture. After the crystals grew, I dumped out the water and left it that way. It was definitely a cool display. Thanks for the nostalgia.

I wouldn't have been surprised that none of that stuff worked after being around for 20 something years, except for one odd thing. Last year, I stumbled upon some 20 year old Play Doh that was somehow in someone's basement since they bought it and forgot about it. It was untouched and unopened, still in the cardboard and cellophane the multiple cans were kept in. I opened one of the cans up, and not only did it age well, it still smelled like fresh Play Doh and not some horrifying mold/cellar smell hybrid. I honestly couldn't believe how well it held up. There wasn't so much as a hint of being dried out or clumpy.

My sisters had this painting kit where you painted on a piece of plastic and put it in the oven so it'll shrink. The warped melted glob that they got from it looked more like crystal than that cocain pile you made.
