Godzilla King of the Monsters was a fantastic film to me, yeah the characters and some parts could’ve been better but the monsters, fights, references, and the way they had the connection with Kong was amazing. Easily my favorite out of the 3 and makes me more hype for GvK. Long Live the Kings

If you watch the Kong: it says he's still young and growing. But pretty sure he'll have a exponential growth spurt once he leaves that island, which seems to effect the age of most that reside there. Kong will probably get the title King when the world witnesses him fighting Godzilla as an equal. And he'll probably be about the same size as Godzilla by then too

The Monsterverse is the only shared universe that I care about now cuz they have built such an awesome mythology of monsters and historical fiction that seems legit and fictional at the same time, while getting the Monsters right. I want the Monsterverse to live on after GVK, and don't let cynical"critics" ruin my love for kaiju movies. Long live the MonsterVerse!

The reason Western Godzilla's cinematic universe succeeds compared to the slew of other failed cinematic universes that other studios have attempted to launch is because Legendary is actually taking the time to develop it. Godzilla has over half a century's worth of films and lore to build a cinematic universe around, establishing a story that expansive requires many years of work. We're three films in already and we've barely scratched the surface of the Western Godzilla's universe, it's fresh and exciting and I can't wait to see more.

I went to see this movie as a complete Godzilla noob. To give you an idea, I didn't even know that him and King Kong are set in the same universe. So here's what I thought about it. The story largely made sense, which is pretty rare for that type of movie. They usually heavily rely on suspension of disbelief to actually function, but with this movie, there was only one part that really grinded my gears with its nonsense. So, uh, pretty good. I can't say I was emotionally invested, but I wasn't expecting to be either, and some characters were likeable enough that I enjoyed watching them (I LOVED Charles Dance's acting, he's always such a treat to watch). Even though I didn't know that much about the franchise, the movie was able to explain its main points pretty clearly, so I never felt lost or confused. It DID make me want to learn more about the other kaijus, which, I think, is a big plus. So that's also really good! About the special effects: they got better and better as the movie progressed. I was pretty disappointed that I couldn't fully SEE many of the kaijus (Mothra, especially) BEFORE the final fight. The rest of the time, they were shrouded in fog, or water, or whatever else, which is understandable (CGI is hard and very expensive), but if I noticed it, maybe it wasn't subtle enough. Still, the final fight was incredible, and the kaiju designs (or adaptations, renditions however you want to call it) were overall awesome! I thought that the movie presented an interesting conflict, since technically, both sides in this aren't completely opposed. I was looking forward to where they'd take it, but unfortunately, a lot of its main points got resolved in unsatisfactory ways in my eyes. It was a bit disappointing to see such an interesting and nuanced debate being introduced only to be completely killed by a couple of "fortunate" turns of events. I almost wish they hadn't been brought up if they were only meant to go nowhere. The characters were diverse and believable. There was never a moment where I felt like a certain character behaved in an odd way, or took a decision that wasn't in line with their overall persona. The movie did a great job at making the story feel large in scope. You see the characters travelling a lot and it FEELS exhausting. There are believable explanations for why the kaijus travel from one place to another and such, so that's all really good. There was only one point of the movie that got me emotional, and it involved kaijus, not humans. But that's okay, as I mentioned earlier, I wasn't expecting to be moved, I just wanted to see dope monsters. So overall, I'd give the movie a solid 7/10. Good, fun to watch, would maybe watch again. Plot was decent, but I wish the movie hadn't made such obvious use of fog and other natural elements to hide parts of its kaijus and save up on CGI. Since I also wasn't emotionally invested, I can't find it in me to give it a higher score than a 7. I also didn't feel any particular attachment/reaction to any kaijus, beside Mothra. Which I ADORED. So yeah, the movie was good, really good. Great? Maybe not, not to me at least, but that's okay.

While Godzilla King of the Monsters may not have performed that well in the box office, I really loved it. It really served as a huge boost to the so called “Monsterverse”

Fun fact: Kong in the King Kong movie of this franchise was only a toddler in his current life stage. When his backstory is explained, this is revealed. Now, 30-40 years later when Godzilla vs Kong is set, Kong should be a full grown adult. In short....monkey's gonna be big enough to tangle with the King of Monsters.

Yes, the MonsterVerse is doing great in relation to other cinematic universes.

Actually the reason Ghidorah is so destructive is because it's described as 'falling from the heavens', and is theorised to basically be an extraterrestrial, much like his form in Godzilla Vs. Monster Zero. And since the Natural Order is such a big thing with the Monterverse titans, it would make sense that their greatest threat would be something that, due to not being an earth species, is a threat to the Natural Order. Come to think of it, the more you think about it, Ghidorah kinda fits the bill of a Lovecraftian Great Old One: Originally from space, absolutely gigantic, indifferent to aggressive towards humanity, dormant under the earth for millennia, entirely non-human, all very Lovecraftian tropes.

So far I have been having fun with all 3 Mobsterverse movies. I feel Godzilla vs Kong will fight for a bit and then fight a Mecha version of one of the monsters. I am not going to elaborate on that due to spoilers. If you havent watch Godzilla KotM I'll definitely recommend it, the Kaiju fights are AWESOME.

I really want to see more of Mothra She was amazing in the film. It's embarrassing to say but, I could of she'd tears when she sacrificed herself. So glad to see that Egg in the end. GKOTM was a Masterpiece definitely a 10 for me. I really hope they continue like this with Kong vs Godzilla and show more of the Monsters fighting and appearing! It was so awesome, I'm definitely going watch it again

Although fans did not like the 1998 Godzilla, Zilla Jr from the Godzilla series is an exception. He is the one of the best incarnations of Godzilla. Has similar abilities like Godzilla.

Godzilla 2014 made 530 million in 15 weeks of being in theaters with a 93 million opening weekend, Godzilla King Of The Monsters had a 49 million opening but in ONLY 2.5 weeks has made 340 million and it will surpass the previous one easily by 15 weeks.

Concerning godzilla vs King Kong I'm pretty sure either the Humans are going to Beef Up Kong artificially or something unnatural will happen as in the new Movie they specifically say Godzilla was the only Monster Capable of Defeating Ghidorah which is already saying that Kong isnt even a viable option, as well as the potential foreshadow when they say he's on our side "for now" which leads me to believe there will be some plot point where Godzilla is combating Humanity and they will have to artificially enhance kong to help win. Thats just what I would imagine as normal monstervers Kong doesnt stand a snowballs chance in hell of taking G Man.

I also hope they make a movie for each Titan and Minor Titan or at least have them involved a lot like Rodan and Mothra were or have Godzilla vs *EVERY* Titan.
