Göring created the Gestapo in 1933 and controlled it till 1934 when it was handed to both Wilhelm Frick and Himmler the latter being the real head!

Watch the documentaries made by the British documentarians, they are more accurate. The Nazis are just as evil but their research is more in-depth and thorough. Here Goering is shown with the SS symbol. That was Himmler. Goering didn't start, oversee nor was in the SS. Also he was driven by ambition, power and the opportunity to make a fortune over antisemitism. Himmler was the true believer of Aryan as a superior race and the need for Lebensraum. Goering was nonetheless ruthless and oppression as the 2nd in command and was well aware of the atrocities. The details and conclusions are important in history. @@OntarioBearHunter

The NSDAP and the Reds again were at it with constant street violence against each other! The economy was pivotal and the real threat of a Communist takeover is what finally brought the NSDAP a fringe party to power 2 years later in 1933! The inaction of the democracy under the Weimar government caused this obviously as well!
