I felt that feeling of his early days: the expectations from being a child of star disciplined athletes. And that time making a choice and seeing his mates in tv. Wow that speaks loud. And proves the successful fruit that has come out of those sacrifices discipline and endurance, next not giving up when it got tough attitude. We need more of this.
Thank you so much for another great episode. I'm so happy to see #Jackson with #Ashley #BM #Peniel in #GetReal I really enjoyed it. Please, invite again Mr. Wang it's gonna be awesome if he comes back. Love from Mexico. 🇲🇽❤🇲🇽❤🇲🇽❤🇲🇽❤
I'm kinda like this ... like a crisis cause people here in my hometown was exactly like thus i mean the scenario ... maybe because they were too caught up with the life ..
Jackson remembering that Peniel helped with his bags like 10 years ago really made me realise what a genuine person Jackson is and that he's very aware of people's kindness which he doesn't take for granted. I was so surprised that he would remember a detail like that.
That really comes along with ADHD... I have ADHD and I feel like I'm too aware of what's around me. My friends always say stuff like "how did you notice that" or "how did you remember that"... I have no idea it's just in my head and I'm sure that's how Jackson feels too.
@@baked_bean8 Right?? It somehow makes you feel like the smartest person in the room because you know these random things, but it also makes you feel like an idiot because what normal person memorizes where other people's stuff are?
@@KD-zj4ye But he likes hearing praise, too. Jackson asked Jinyoung and Youngjae to praise him😂 Jackson once said that he often caution himself that don't get complacent when people around only giving him compliments. I think that's why he always says that he feels blessed, it reminds him to be grateful and humble. He's wide awake every day. Love this man
@@sewsewson8185 Asking the members to praise him hahaha he is so funny. He loves joking around with the members but I remember how Jackson didn't want to take credit for helping choreograph Poison; and he always deflects compliments and praise during interviews. Jackson best boy 🥺
I feel like everyone would agree that they wished this episode was longer, or even better i hope they invite Jackson back. In all seriousness Jacksons mindset is just so sexy and motivating. He's literally one of those people whose whole being motivates those around him. i just love how he views life and i really wish the best for him.
Not to say I don't have good people around me, but I feel like I need a friend like that in my life. Like over the top motivation for my serious lack of it lol.
I love how jackson speaks in english. Like he is not a native, yet he speaks fluently, and you can see him struggling to find words to talk, yet he takes his time to express himself clearly
Actually English was his first language he ended up learning more Cantonese his mom knows English fluently It's like if your parents teach you English first but you mainly talk in your parents language
Naahh thats just him LMAO even with chinese aka his native language he just went "... yeah.. you know what i mean right?" Every single time AHAHAHHAHA, but srly thats just him 🤣
I guess he didn't see it :) but I would be happy if he could see the classic version of his amazing song "100 ways" that've made ! Here if you want to listen/see what it looks like : soundcloud.com/gracest/100-ways-jackson-wang-remake
They clearly invited him before (all 3 of them disagreed when Jackson said they didn't invite him before) but that trash company JYPE didn't let Jackson promote in Korea, like he said in the podcast, so he probably couldn't go. I'm glad he finally has his long overdue freedom
You can definitely tell Jackson wang really likes to talk and do these type of podcast stuff. He def needs his own podcast or host with other podcasts, really cool and chill dude. Never knew he was that young, dope content Wang def needs to comeback on this podcast for few more episodes
he should go to armchair expert by dax shepherd when he promos his english stuff. i love the podcast and you get good insight into the guests every time.
Jackson Wang is a perfect guest for this show. He’s just true to himself. No pretense. If he thinks something’s shit, he would say it, not to degrade anyone but to emphasize what is more important. He shares his wisdom to help people because he’s been through a lot. An hour long episode but honestly we need more. 🙏Hoping Jackson could come back and be a guest host too one day. 🤞 I’ve honestly imagined Jackson in the show coz I think he would have a great chemistry with Peniel, BM and Ashley. So thank you Dive. It still feels surreal. Thank you Get Real! Been a fan since episode 1. 🤟
@@IP19 it may be this program that made you feel like that because they were asking him a lot of questions and the point is talk about things that happened to him too, but he's humble in reality
@@valerialeonpacheco6026 no I’ve been following him for a while, I love his solo work, I love got7, but I always find him a bit arrogant/talk too much of himself in his solo interview, like in US radio interview, zach sang, everywhere. sometimes I feel to the point like ‘he like to be praised’ by his own story or self achievement, even got7 members like to joke him about it. Idk it’s just what I thought about him.
@@KD-zj4ye Exactly!! I never saw him talking about his life till now , I suggest dive studios to give Jackson his own podcast to give us advice and solve our problems😂
@@ssaaa1703 omg seriously? You should check out more of his solo interviews (video interviews, magazine interviews, radio interviews, etc), he always talks like this in his solo interviews.
@@KD-zj4ye I was going to say that 😭😭😭😭I guest she /he doesn’t know jackson like us . Jackson is the biggest attention seeker as well , the amount of times he takes about himself .
@@sabreenak2280 erm idk if you're joking. Jackson is the opposite of an attention seeker. Even here he was being so humble, like with the CEO thing. Who else should he talk about in his solo interviews if not about himself??? OP and I were talking about how insightful and wise he sounds. And OP probably hasn't seen a lot of his solo interviews because he always talks deeply about things in his solo interviews, as opposed to being funny in group interviews (JYPE wanted him to act like a clown).
@@hh-qy8zt I don't think so, it's not all about fencing you also need to have a good grade. Scholarship depends on your performance on sports/athletic and good grades so maybe jackson is pretty good in terms of academic 🤷
Jackson is right, when your parents turn 60, their behaviour will change, they'll be like child again, that's just how life works. If that happens then that's your cue to take care of them, it'd be hard sometimes but never give up on them.
I love how Jackson really doesn’t want to wrap up the show and wants to stay. Like he has these stories and experiences he’s been holding in and now he can release it all with a group who understands and on air for a global viewing. I could listen to these four all day LOL
I guess he didn't see it :) but I would be happy if he could see the classic version of his amazing song "100 ways" that've made ! Here if you want to listen/see what it looks like : soundcloud.com/gracest/100-ways-jackson-wang-remake
43:00 when Jackson started talking about moving with his parents and spending time with them, then everyone started talking about their parents, it really melted my heart. I've lived with my parents my whole life for almost 30 years and it reminded me how I take that for granted. Peniel is right that Jackson takes care of his family like crazy
I guess he didn't see it :) but I would be happy if he could see the classic version of his amazing song "100 ways" that've made ! Here if you want to listen/see what it looks like : soundcloud.com/gracest/100-ways-jackson-wang-remake
Him paid attention to little changes from his aging parents, him stopped the story and pointing out which part he disagreed + why, and him telling that it's sad to gossip, was just... wonderful. I resonate to this kind of person very well. Sometimes in Get Real I do feel like they're still trying to keep things light, but this man doesn't care, he just dove deep and I'm living for it when I'm not even a fan
@@zey7576 well there's really nothing easy in this world. The more you stick to that mindset, the more your life will be miserable. Change to improve and make yourself happier does not begin from other people. It begins with you. Even if everyone around you helps and supports you, if your mindset is "no it's hard I can't do it" then they can't really do anything about it. It's your choice. Stay as what you are now and be unhappy, or change and be happier.
@@RequiescatInPace A long time ago I read a Chinese interview (2017 i think) and he touched this subject and talked about medication for both (depression and adhd) but i can't remember for sure so maybe it was just a baseless diagnosis back then for ADHD.
@@seniorgurl21 yes! The chemistry between Jackson and Eric and Jackson and jessi are amazing! Imagine Jackson and Jessi and then they just talk shit about jyp and everything!
imagine getting a scholarship from stanford, being an olympian fencer and was about to go to the olympics but chose to drop all of that for music, dropped all of that for something he wasn't sure if there's gonna be a future that's gonna happen. man that's pure dedication, sacrifice and passion right there. Jackson just keeps giving me reason to love him even more
Jackson: Started Team Wang at 23 Girl from 2nd mail time: Married and finishing undergrad at 24 Me at 24, sitting at home watching this podcast: What am I doing with my life???
Hey I'm sure you're doing great too. At this time, surviving in itself is a great task. Everyone have their own different versions of success. Give yourself some credit girl!
When Jackson Wang said teachers "diagnosed" jackson as ADHD, really hit hard. For me, I also got the same experience and it traumatized me. I felt like I was not normal and not acceptable.
Sorry... But it's not "normal" nor acceptable in group settings. Teachers get traumatized too handling a group of 25 kids and trying to teach but some kids don't listen or can't listen.... So many quit teaching because the pay is not worth it. Not trying to say anything is wrong with ppl with ADHD but I do notice a lot more cases of it now than before... And also more in boys. You just need to know how to adapt with your ADHD just like any other ppl with other diagnoses... The earlier diagnosed the better
@@ID_iKONIC_VIP dumbest comment I've seen. Teachers can't diagnose and can't treat kids differently. I was treated the same way as if I had a mental problem but somehow kids whose parents had tons of money were always mentally healthy even though they were brats. It's their jobs to teach 25 kids even 255 kids it doesn't matter
@@halfmoon3017 dumbest comment ever. Teach for a year and then talk. Literally teachers are mandated to differentiate their teaching to meet the needs of all types of students so shut up about teaching everyone equally. You don't know anything about teaching so stay out of it. And NEVER did I say teachers can diagnose so learn to read better.
When you noticed how his whole family is a WHOLE LEGEND!? His father is the first Gold champion in China? His mother !? His brother?!He himself a legend!! Just for your information Jackson's grandfather is one of the pioneer of ultrasound diagnostic/medicine in China actually. Can you see how powerful is his family is? It is also amazing how supportive of them actually. As you see, his grandpa is a famous doctor in China but still his grandpa let their children to do sports, now his parents let him to fulfill his dream as an artist, a singer. Yknow how sometime Asian parents wanted their children to follow their footsteps?
Funny how I just found out about Jackson’s grandpa and I’m about to get into Sonography (specifically Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography) that’s neat and a super coincidence.
@@artaxelis5314 i found out because i read article about Covid-19. I found the story about Jackson not to worry because he get advice from his family to consume certain vitamins. So i checked that his grandfather is a great doctor. I read about the discipline of protocol Covid-19 in China because they always listen advice from great doctors.
I like how Jackson was like why are you guys not answering questions, this it mean to be a conversation, he keeps asking them questions, it's interesting and more comfortable in that way.
I watched this really late. That part at 44:00 when jackson talks about parent aging, I've been far from home for a couple of years, and I realized that seeing your parents or your family age is the most unexpected and dificult part of adulthood. It hit me hard.

38:41 jackson: looks at peniel, bm, and ashely and says “don’t judge” also jackson: remembers ppl are watching on the other side of the screen therefore proceeds to direct himself to them and says “don’t judge”
Jackson, I really give my respect to you bro!! You're dope at everything you do 👍 Please, come to Eric Nam Podcast too. I want hear more story from you 🙏
Jackson is such a well spoken person who seems to have a lot of great thoughts and stories to share. plus, you can tell that he smells nice just by looking at him.
jackson is really open person, telling stories about his mental breakdowns to other. i think that's the most beautiful thing about GOT7, you can feel home
This 1 hour podcast made me fall in love with Jackson. Wow I didnt know this side of Jackson, first his voice talking in English is so damn cool, I've just heard him talking in Korean all this time and it's 180 degree different voice! Second, what I'd been watched is him being funny in a variety show, I thought he's such a joker, never know that he has this mature side. His great personality is shining throughout the show, thank you so much Dive Studio for having Jackson ❤
Jackson is truly a one of a kind person. I remember he said he wasn’t sure if fans will like his more “serious” side, but I could listen to him talk for hours. I honestly wish he’d talk more about the business side of him as a person! He’s an excellent role model; anyone can have ambition but not everyone has what it takes to handle executing their plans. Seeing his journey, I understand that the path to chasing your dream is often times cruel. Being his fan for 6years now, i sometimes wonder how he was strong enough to keep pushing. I feel like there’s a lot of struggles that jackson went through and not everyone knows about them. But he never grew bitter or resentful; he stayed true to his loving self. Jackson has this very special talent for making people feel comfortable, loved, happy, understood, appreciated, etc etc. His encouraging words never fail to make me feel like I will be alright. I can absolutely say ever since I became his fan, he has made me a happier person. Even seeing his love for his own family has made me realize that I need to appreciate my parents more. He’s so obviously a pure hearted person and I just wish him all the love & happiness in this world🥺💗
@@sophiaswing2956 when Jackson started out, most of his fans came from HK due to him promoting his "fencing HK" identity. A lot of HK people became fans due to him representing our HK cultural identity and gave his rise to fame. However, when his hometown is facing a humanitarian crisis, he chooses to support the regime that oppresses the citizens of his home. You have to realize that HK has no voice in the global stage and we need as many celebrities to represent us. By him declaring his allegiance to China, going as far as posting the one China statement in the midst of the protest, it really makes it seem like he's selling out because China money is forever. It's like even our own celebrities is giving up on their home. I don't mind him doing business in China. It is the fact that he openly dismisses his HK identity and lumping it and generalizing it as "Chinese". If he had just continued without posting and pushing this "Jackson from China" identity, then I'd think HKers wouldn't have been as pissed. He literally just used his HK identity and then went peace out when it's convenient for him.
@@sophiaswing2956 stop believing everything in the Internet!!! The fact this podcasts with Jackson reach the fastest and highest view on this channel say he really got alot of fans and supporter.Keep being real and you Jackson,we will always support and love u.
let me just take time to remind y’all that english is not jackson’s first language and yet he speaks it so damn flawlessly!! he’s one of the only idols who can perfectly speak english without letting anyone know they’re a foreigner. like, what a king.
@@dalayneejo but like everyone that went to his school is fluent since they speak the language at least 5 days a week, like all his friends speak fluent english
@@dalayneejo sorry! i think i was a little offended from your original comment since english isn’t my first language either but i’m completely fluent in it. it’s like you’re saying just because it’s not my first language, you expect me to be less fluent in it, and it’s impressive when i’m fluent. I don’t think it’s something to praise me for since i’m in an english speaking environment all the time, so i learned it naturally and easily
I just like everything abt Jackson. His personality, voice, thinking, culture n very straight forward person.i wish i can meet him in person. Love from India.
I really think Jackson should have his own show because he talks about really deep stuff and I think its show interesting. I like how it shows a whole different side of Jackson
No one can't denied that Jackson is a pro world domination. He built a name with passion and love. He's a model we should imitate right? An idol who can do anything.
I like Jackson I met him once, he didn’t know I was a fan. He talked to me, we had a conversation and we joked. I was backpacking in England 🏴 he is so down to earth kind of guy.
@@kingjacksonwang1958 I made a video about my experience but it’s in Spanish I will make one in English. I met all GOT7 in London, inside London Eye we were in the same crystal capsule. It was late 2019 for the tour keep spinning
The body language and the way Jackson articulates his words is just beautiful. It's like he wants to put out his words the best way to connect with the conversation and he talks with conviction, a quality of a complete man. You're one of a Kind Jackson and are an inspiration for us all.
Jackson has the ability to make people at ease without even trying. I hope more people would see this of him. Most of the time he's just the "funny guy of Got7" but he's more than that.
I've learned so much about Jackson from this podcast episode alone. Jackson was only in Hong Kong for half of his childhood life and the other half was in Europe. He has also spent 10 years in Korea. Jackson is very multicultural.
Now I get the feeling about his MV "Alone" , he doesn't put mirror, fencing equipment, books, foods and three chairs, phone, bruises face, Olimpic sign, airport sign, teamwang logo in that mv randomly, he tries to talk about his life journey to his fans through that mv.
Ahgases, do you agree that listening to jackson is very healing and he is a man that is very true to himself and always give good advices. He never think about vi*ws and money but only for his fans. If he didn't ho against jype and created a team wang on his own with his money and also his friends support, we won't see him here today. That is why it's better to be searching and wprking hard for opportunities than waiting it to be falling on your lap
Jackson stands out with his good looks and his acceptance of the diverse cultures around him and he is trying to break barriers. A very driven individual who will go far. ❤️
Jackson is usually like that to many ppl,a bit clingy, thats how we know he's comfortable!!! He does that with a lot of hosts😂kinda likes to flirt, which mostly makes the other person feel comfortable too!!
