The large green fruits @ 23.08 are from the Madagascar Jasmine plant, and inedible! You can get Bird of Paradise flowers in the UK now - but expensive. The Silkies (hens) have black skin and flesh under those beautiful white fluffy feathers - they were served them in 'I'm a Celebrity Get Me out of Here' as part of their evening meal! Even the bones are black! Loving your holiday vlogs! x
We have Mangrove trees here in Florida, there roots are above the ground like stilts and the trunk bases begin on top of the roots, similar to the trees you are marveling at in this wonderfull video. The Mangrove roots are much more divided and pronounced.
Mazzy You were nearly right the plant you were looking at with an orange top inside the banana plantation you said it looked like a bird well it is actually called bird of paradise so well done loving your Vlogs. I hope you feel better soon..x
Great video both, thank you. I first saw a Banana tree on the Island of Rhodes, growing in someone’s back yard, but who knew Banana’s could be so fascinating, with so many varieties. I loved the little chickens.💕 Feel better soon Mazzy.
Really interesting look around the banana place. I didn't know before watching that Spain had a banana growing history. Apparently they will grow about 400,000 tonnes this year.
The tree looks like a mangrove tree, they are from Africa. I guess not the same , but looks a. It similar. Can you pick it up on your phone. Sorry Mazzy your still not yourself. Bless you, a shame when your on your hols. Our sin has a massive pond with 3ft plus koi in , they are so pretty. You feel about spiders , like I do snakes. Plantains are the sweetest dessert banana. They are small ones. The plant / flower you like mazzy is called bird of paradise. It’s a wonder with the weight of the banana that the tree can still stand. Thank you for the time you spent showing us today such interesting things . Really enjoyed it.

A little story about fishermen in Alaska, your not allowed to bring bananas on the fishing boats here its considered very bad luck, I'm not allowed to back banana bread, 😂😂😅
Hi Both. Another great vlog. I love Canarian bananas….we don’t seem to get them in UK. You can see plantations as you come in to land at S airport from right hand windows or left hand on take off. Lots of interesting things you’ve shown us. Thank you. Glad Mazzy survived the day ok. 😻🍌xx

Love watching your holiday vlogs, they are really interesting and fun too. Looking foward to your next one, I highly recommend recommend the catamaran trip to see the whales and dolphins, we booked in los Cristiano,s at the sea front, they pick you up at your hotel and drop you back, it sails from Las Americas, sandwiches and drinks included and reasonably priced, best thing I have ever done.❤
silkies there meat,skin and bones are black and the male has the fluffy head mum and dad had some and they keep all the slugs and weeds at bay. My parents lawn looked like a carpet when they had chickens xx
