Mate, great video. Went to Cobourg last year with venture north and heading off again shortly. Love this area and your video gave a bit more knowledge of the first australians in the area. Thanks!
Hi David, we're coming up to the Coburg Peninsula this June-July 2021,... we'll be on the road for 7 weeks with a 7 day permit to be up in your country in June.... wish we could stay longer but the permit states that we can only be there for 7 days! Hope to see you there soon!
Hey Mate, very cool episode, apart from the worm slurping. ;) You inspired me and the missus to apply for the permit to the park, we're planning a week in the 2020 dry season. Do you think its reasonable to drag a 5m boat up there?
Peter Cooke Hey Mate, thanks for the kind comment 👍 You’ll have an absolute ball up there! It’s an unbelievable place! As for the boat it all depends on your setup. The road can be pretty ordinary bordering on terrible and we see a lot of boat trailers give up on the track. Cobourg fishing safaris runs a fantastic charter service that can pick you up from the boat ramp and make sure you get the most of your time on the water. You really can’t go wrong up there with a bit of know how! The fishing is off the charts! There are also some fascinating old ruins from 1838 when the British had a crack at settling the north and really are a must see. You can only get to them by boat and Cobourg fishing safaris can do a day on the water chasing fish mixed with a look at the Victorian settlement ruins. cobourgfishingsafaris.com.au/ Check them out and I might see you up there! If not let me know how you go 👍
