So we finally get to hear Caleb's turning story. Heartbreaking! 😢 R.I.P.- Caleb's "hermit" plan

Gee, they sound like a lovely family. I can’t wait to meet them (insert sarcastic tone here)

When we meet the family, I want to stand up for him. Yes, he'll have his chances to prove to the family that he's happy with who he is, but I don't want him to fight alone. The minute they start to say mean thing, and put him down, I'm going to raise my voice

The timing is still mildly suspicious but the “I’m leaving my real family” gave me feels Caleb going from reluctantly the alpha to reluctantly leaving his pack is 10/10 character development and we love to see it Also I’m always down for backstory and I absolutely would love to have some strong words for Caleb’s family. I mean, if they didn’t like anyone else he dated there’s no way they’re gonna like us so who cares about trying to get them to? Strong words. That’s all. Mmhmm.

I'm glad he's not going alone because it sounds like this situation is going to be mentally exhausting for him... _(although I think this is already stressful)_

Caleb's family truly are awful but it's still very interesting to hear more details about his turning and life before Frosthaven. Plus he's got a better family now. Between his mate, the pack, friends like Connor, and future in-laws who trust and care about him, he's got a good group of people around him now.

So, who is looking forward to a showdown between Caleb, his mate and the biological family? Caleb doesn't deserve how he was treated and I am glad he has actual support in the Frost Haven pack and his Mate

Ever since we first learnt about his parents and siblings, I’ve been imagining how the meeting would go when it finally came. Most of them come down to one of them attempting to ‘subtly’ question whether she knows about his ‘condition’ and her countering with ‘who the heck do you think drives him and the pups out to the woods every full moon?’ 😂 I’m so invested in this story. Caleb and all the others just…something about your characters never fails to touch my heart each time. 🥰

I agree with Caleb though, those thing kinda does matter, and family doesnt get a pass. And yup, you can live with that, pretty good even :)

ngl, i kinda teared up when caleb told his story. it reminded me of how some parents/families treat their queer children and since i'm a queer woman myself, this kind of behavior from "family" just breaks my heart into million pieces. i can really sympathize with caleb and i think he has EVERY right to be be angry and hurt by their words and actions. this whole "but they are your family/parents-" thing always pisses me off, cuz i have a dysfunctional family and sometimes certain family members can do and say hurtful things and you, as a victim of those wrongdoings, do NOT have to forgive their behavior just because you are related by blood. please don't ever let anyone pressure and guilt trip you into forgiving people if you personally don't actually want to. some just don't deserve forgiveness, in my opinion. but yes, i really hope once he meets his "family" again, caleb gets to say everything he needs to say, so that he can kinda "move on" and try to heal and to rest. he certainly deserves being heard and getting closure.

Oh sweet Caleb- I just want to hug him and reassure him things will be ok... Also any beef his biological family wants to start, I am ready to freaking go down and set fire to a couple of truths to their face ... No one hurts Caleb! Same with Chester's bio family, I am ready to smack some snobby folks off their high horse to protect my pups! ---- Also this is relatable as heck- I got family members on both sides that are pieces of work - you know Abuela from Encanto and how the family picked on lil Mirabel and Bruno, well there's a reason why Mom and Me related to that flim ( my Abuela is very similar but doesn't know how to say sorry - and a good amt of my Tios and Tias are judgy as heck)... And on my Biological Father's side well ... Let's start with him... Same boat as Caleb- expect I have confronted him a couple of times and set my boundaries ... Which like Talia and the Listener established will be helpful for Caleb- I mean he's not the same man who left New York all those years ago... He's delt with far worse recently, and knows he's an alpha now (officially - always was), which I think will help him establish his boundaries officially to his biological family... Plus he should feel secure to speak up and defend himself this time because he is not alone. Besides the fact the listener is literally right there next to him for support, he has a found family who loves him and has his back. I think with that help, this should help Caleb close this lingering chapter in his life officially, and he can move on in peace afterwords... Atleast, I know by personal experience it helped me confront that part of the past that weigh me down ... I hope this helps Caleb too and in the possible near future, Chester as well. My boys TTvTT you got this!!! ❤️

Honestly, I think going is a bad idea. There's too much happening, and! I imagine I'm in the minority in this opinion, but I think Caleb's parents lost the right to hospital visits like this with their pattern of behavior. And now that I'm thinking about it, I wonder if this also might be a ploy on Chester's father's part.
