I literally know every Zeppelin song and love about 98% of them, but god damn Tangerine has always hit me harder than the rest...simple chords but just truly angelic, only Zeppelin can do that to me ✌️
Merry Christmas TPC ... Good post. I feel the same way about this song. The only song that didn't do it for me was hats off to Roy Harper ... I don't know how that song made the cut on Zep 3 & hey hey what can I do & travelling riverside blues did not. There may be a track or two on Coda that were very average as well. Other than that , the rest of their catalogue does it for me.
Jimmy Page - my favorite guitarist of all time. Malmsteen, Satriani, Vie, for me they are great, but really do not compare. The emotion with Page is so intense. Love you Jimmy!
I am just now realizing this. How precious and what a gift he is. I always thought the lead singer was most important, I see and hear now that Jimmy is making this BEAUTIFUL.
Honestly while I was listening to this I looked at the suggestion bar and in the very top I saw nicki minaj fly, I sincerely felt sad, I didn't feel any anger or hatred against her or anyone I just felt completely overwhelmed by this sudden discomfort. These two have been making beautiful music since the rock age and still are and yet I see artists like nicki minaj get much more recognition than these two and that to me is the very definition of sadness, can't really phrase out how sad I feel...
It's not a metal sound. Page said Led Zep was not metal, though they are credited with giving rise to metal bands. This session is more accoustic sounding than metal.
i may be , and am totally bias but Zeppelin are the best , the best there was is and everlikly to be , they will never die as long as we keep playing there music , and wear your hair long like the druids in the old days ..............................
beautiful.... Plants voice, now far from what it used to be, is still mesmerizing. And the sound of the Yamaha CJ-32 at the hands of Master Page is pure brilliance.
in the recent shows on most other songs they didnt have the majesty that they used to, but on this song it still shines. and to all of you who are going to go nuts on me for saying this, i am a huge zeppelin fan and always have been this is the music i grew up with. but if you take your time and compare their older shows to their newer ones its obvious. even robert plant and jimmy page said the shows after bonzo died just didnt feel right, it wasnt the same vibe.
Robert and Jimmy are doing their thing just the two of them page on acoustic and double-neck guitar hard to hear plant sing because of the roar of the crowd love you plant and page❤❤❤

Sooooo GREAT !! Page is the MASTER, makes that six string sound like a twelve. I could listen to him play for hours and hours and hours. Still due, as a matter of fact, after all these years.
Right up there with the beatles, hell they're waaaay past. These guys could get up on stage, and play for hours, and hours at a time. And look how old jimmy is, and he still doesn't loose touch with his guitar. This song is soul, they all put a little bit of themselves into, and it makes it soooo great.
I was at that show. It was excellent, naturally... I still remember Page's amazing solos. Plant sang pretty well by his standards, but seemed half crazy in the way he spoke to the audience.
forget about whole lotta love, kashmir, stairway to heaven!! those are great songs but the best stuff ZEP ever did are tracks like TANGERINE< THATS THE WAY and other acoustic stuff!!!! people forget that a 1/3 of all the songs they did were acoustic!!! these songs bring back so many wonderful memories for me!!!! AH THE MIGHTY LED ZEP!!!! theres simply noone else like em!!!!

Led Zeppelin are the greatest , the most brilliant , legendary Band of all times , thats for shure ! and , What a brilliant performance of this song , they definetley dont lost theyr magic i LOVE them , and of course the music
Agreed, i wish i was born in the early 50's, that would have been perfect, you get the 60's to grow up in, the 70's to party in, and then the 80's to over dose you on some crazy drug. good times good times.
