LOVE these, even if they are just visits to book stores, whether purchases are made or not- exploring is fun! Would love to see the series continue in various communities, as well as at second hand book stores! 😊
This is so exciting to watch. I grew up spending hours a day at half price books on Lamar. This inspired me to venture out to feel the excitement of buying books again!
Black Pearl is great! I picked up lots of christmas gifts (& some stuff for myself) there. The ppl working are welcoming & helpful, they got a couple books ordered for me that showed up within a week. totally recommend it
2:19 loved all the three books from the brown sister series !!!❤️ The first book is my favourite !! Buy it girl !! I'm sure you wouldn't regret buying them .
I went to barnes and nobles looking for After, and the only copy they had on the shelf was BANGED up, so I asked if they had any other copies (they didn't) and they gave me 10% off! So now my after book has the spine broken, cover messed up, and pages crumpled but I find it really cozy (and After is my comfort book ;)
I clicked on this video because I LOVE checking out new bookstores... and I gotta say, I'm glad you went to barnes and nobles first because I wasn't that interested in B&N but seeing that there was a gamestop in that store was exhilerating! I grew up going to barnes and nobles and spending time at the built-in gamestop. However, in the early 2000's Gamestop closed down all of the B&N Gametsops. This may not seem relevant to the topic of the video but THANK YOU for lighting up my inner child!
Thanks for showing the plant store. I've actually been there. Hands down Recycled Reads is the best store in Austin. I used to go there once a week. I'd like to know your thoughts on the Midnight Library once you finish. I read it a few weeks ago and I have mixed feelings about it. I went to the grand opening Yarborough Library aeons ago and the reason it has such a giant ceiling is that it used to be a movie theater. Please continue the series. I haven't been to all of them.

It is amazing how many awesome bookstores we have here in Austin despite the fact that we have such an amazing library system. I have one branch that is a 5 minute walk away, and then the Central Library (huge) is like a 10 minute walk from me. I'm much more of a book reader than a book collector, so libraries are great for me. That recycled reads store looks amazing.. I mean at $2 for a hc... Really enjoyed your video (my first from you).
I live in Bastrop and didn't realize there were so many bookstores in Austin. Also, if there is one thing I've learned is that I don't look at Goodreads reviews. There have been so many books I LOVED that didn't get good reviews! Reading is so subjective! Try whatever sounds good and see. ♥
aaa I got super excited when you got The Midnight Library!! It's been my comfort book for so long and not many people talk about it, such a lovely book imo.
The Yarborough Library used to be the Americana Theatre. Big, widescreen, single screen, which is why there's a big open room. Little bit of Austin history for all you newcomers. Thanks for covering all the (mostly) non-chain stores. I knew about some of them already--I really need to get out more LOL **shakes fist at the plague*8
13:13 Colleen Hoover has written a book where the characters are married and they have problems in their marriage and it shows both their past (when they first met) and the present. Its called all your perfects and for me it was a five star read. You probably know the book already but i just wanted to let you know

I'm so jealous you have Recycled Reads. My city's library system used to hold book sales twice a year exactly like this and it was wonderful. My grandmother and I would spend hours there. But then Covid happened and they're not doing it anymore. Two years later and still desperately missing those sales.
Okay the sweet magnolias books you don’t have to read in order each book is just about a different characters but there is somethings that happens in the beginning books!! So the home in carolina is the 5th book and i would read the 1st book stealing homes and the 2nd book a slice of heavens first

this video has literally just inspired me to visit all of the book stores in my city as well!! i usually visit a local book store and skim around but don't buy anything bc i'm already in the middle of another book. but surely there's no issue in developing my own library in my room.....
we have this AMAZING bookstore called Fabled. There's a kid room and there is a wardrobe with coats that lead out into the adult area (because it's kind of a small bookstore).
I worked at a library before. We would get a lot of donations of books we already had so we would put them on a table outside for people to take. There’s just not enough space in a library for an infinite number of books
surprised i wasnt in the background at kinokuniya considering how often i go there. also considering it was a saturday, and those r the days i go to the bookstore..... lol

Try Steven King's "The Stand". I think it is one of his best. And there is a romance in it. "The Cell" was very anticlimactic, and has major plot issues.
Disappointed that you weren't able to show the all the Manga and Light novels in Kinokuniya which is like half of the store on the right. Its Probably not your thing but it is something unique to Austin and the store. It's the biggest selection of that genre in the city.
Great call out! I didn't show it as its not something I know much about but I definitely should've highlighted it anyway as like you said its a huge part of the store and one of the main things that makes it unique. I plan on filming a part 2 and will definitely try to stop by again to include all of the manga and Japanese literature. Ty for the feedback!
Please continue this series. I live in Texas has well but my town only has a used bookstore. Lotties bookstore. I have to go to the next town over for books. 2nd and Charles and Barnes and noble

I tend to buy used books and like multiple characters in one book. My favourite books I have bought and sold and bought again it is advances by Anita burgh .I have read and reread again and again .
