HI THEATRE GEEKS! WELCOME TO THE VLOG! I am Caps-Locked level excited because today we're seeing the Los Angeles opening night of the Broadway National Tour of MISS SAIGON! And, we're walking the red carpet-- here's hoping I don't trip. Miss Saigon has one of my favorite scores of all time and I was SO SAD when I wasn't able to see the revival on Broadway. So when the Pantages Theater invited me to the red carpet opening night, I high-key geeked out. This show was absolutely stunning-- It's the Broadway production, but on tour! It was such a beautiful performance and I can't recommend it highly enough!

That theatre is so gorgeous. Need to see it in person one day. OMG tho! Miss Saigon is one of my favorites if not favorite modern musical. Saw it twice during the revival on Broadway (closing night of previews and final bow - 2nd row!). Then a few months ago saw the tour in Philadelphia. The tour is everything. I need to see it again!

I saw one of the first tour performances back in September and they had to stop the show for like 20 minutes before the helicopter scene due to technical difficulties! I’ve never had that happen in a show before, and it was pretty intense. There was a tour manager or some such Important Person running up and down the aisle next to us in a panic! I felt so bad for him!

I was listening to the soundtrack a few months ago and suddenly wanted more than anything to see the show. I found out it was touring and would come near me in less than a month! I somehow convinced my mom and sister to go and let me just say best decision of my entire life (even though I basically just cried throughout the entire thing)

that one annoying soprano Mood, but I’m also not gonna knock Asian actors who do the show for taking what few roles the can get. My anger over this show lies solely with the writers of the piece (and Puccini because he wrote the opera it’s based on) believing the US were ever the good guys in that war.

my high school is doing miss saigon as our spring show so if anyone lives in/near northern NJ please come see it! ik most ppl don’t like high chill plays but i think we’re pretty good (in my totally unbiased opinion lol) BUT we have won state competitions 3x in a row AND we have performed at the Bucks County Playhouse at the Best of The Fest (sry not trying to brag but we need ppl to come see our shows bc we need money for our program)

so jealous 😫😫 i was going to watch miss Saigon last year when it was touring England, but I thought it had the age limit of 15 and I wasn’t 15 at the time, and I found out just afterwards the age limit was 12 so I could’ve gone :((
