Saw them live for the first time last night. Easily the best live performance I've seen from a metal band. Your reaction to the drop was mine last night!
Hell yea!! My wife and I were front row in the pit, right in front of Christian. Even got a few guitar pics from him after the set! 3rd time seeing Gojira live for me, but still absolutely blown away. I can’t get enough of them. 🤘
Glad you finally got to see them live. One of the coolest things about checking out these live performances is seeing how they've evolved the songs from the studio recordings.
L'enfant sauvage means The Wild Child. The music matches perfectly with this massive energy. Lyrics talk about this energy repressed and how society restrain you. "I owe myself life" this riff based on small dead notes are so musical. Even my wife who is not a metal head likes it. Did you ever consider doing some sort of retro reaction with a good old death live ? Flesh and the power it holds in Eindhoven for example ?
I was at this show: Red Rocks (May, 2017). Devin Townsend Project was first - followed by Gojira - then, Opeth. This was one of those shows where the planets were aligned. I still can’t believe I was there; it’s one of the most referenced metal concerts on RU-vid. Gojira’s pyrotechnics were keeping me warm; we were right up front. I was cold during Opeth, but I refused to leave until Opeth played Deliverance. Thankfully, that was the last song of the night - alluding to staying for the entire evening. Gojira lay it all down, man…EVERY NIGHT. I’ve seen them twice - on the L’Enfant Sauvage tour (2012) and the following Magma tour (2017, this video).
I saw them when Deftones came into town, I didn't know too much about them. My homie and I where listening to their stuff on the way to the show, and after watching them live. It was a good way to experience a different band you didn't know.
This was the first Gojira song I've heard. Still a masterpiece. I had the privilege of watching them live in Rock in Rio, back in 2015. People didn't knew them well back then, but I could see the curiosity and the appreciation on their faces during the whole concert. Mario is a cyborg. They're the best! 🤘🏽
Saw them in 2012 during the sonisphere Switzerland, huge band! Mario is the best drumer ever! Viva gojira 🤟🏼 Love your videos guys, continue like this!!
Still want to see y’all’s reaction to Satan is a Lawyer by Gojira sooo badd!! 🤗 Gojira forever!! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼 Also I fucking love that beginning instrumental intro, it’s prominent throughout the whole L’enfant Sauvage album either at the end or the beginning of most of the tracks. Love when bands do stuff like that
OH. MY. GOD!!! I'm so envious! And at The Greek?!? Wow. So freakin cool y'all. And you already know, I am forever grateful for you turning me on to Gojira, life changing 💯
Another great reaction video you two. I'd still like you to check out Lions at the Gate "Find My Way" featuring Tatiana from Jinjer herself I think you will really like it THIS SONG RIPS and the video is awesome!!!
Finally the song from Dylan's longsleeve 😁. While being overwhelmed and pausing at the heavier break-part, you missed a transition with a fantastic bass slide. So relistening that part is higly recommended. And please, do another Orbit Culture (Behold) 🙏. Glad you guys finally experienced Gojira live! Grt from Belgium.
Love your channel. More live opeth. You still need to hear their first album Orchid. Listen to “In the Mist She was Standing” or “Apostle in Triumph” if u wanna listen to live listen to the roundhouse tapes
Porcupine Tree - Heartattack in a Layby Haken - Nil by Mouth Leprous - Contaminate Me (Live At Rockefeller Music Hall) Mastodon - Oblivion Caligula's Horse - Daughter of the Mountain / Marigold
Question - what music do you play while going to a concert? The main act/support bands to get primed for the gig or go in cold without ANY of their music so you get it raw and fresh? I do one or the other depending on the band and my mood! But it WILL be one or the other!
Hey guys. Its ur boy Ian once again...Im a poet and didn't kno it...lol. Still hoping that yall will do me a solid and react to Collapse from the bestest metal band Fear Factory! Please please and thanks...😁
Was kind of hoping for the Live At Brixton one, joe with the long hair, amazing screams, it’s even better, but still Gojira amazing nonetheless. Next up ‘Love’ live at Rio!! Lizard Skin - Vieilles Charrues In The Forest - Link Alive Flying Whales At Brixton also killer And the ultimate Gojira that put you in a trance, is Blow me Away You extended version live at Link Alive. been here since the car days, keep them coming!
You are completely right.. I just went and checked out the Brixton version.. it’s unbelievable. Joe at his vocal best. His tone was perfect, and he could sustain his notes. And the aesthetic of that show is just ridiculous.
@@thoronthol1175 yep exactly, those vocals are unique and you can just feel it. I’m sure you’ve also practically seen most of the live vids, but have a go at Ocean Planet at Rio, his vocals at the end are so damn powerful, underrated performance.
