First Gojira upload, not sure why. I loved them since my first listen to Mars to Sirus. Gotta love the 5150, I love the nostalgia of the Mesa Mk but the 5150 is my favourite amp. Really user friendly with no bad tones. It crushes me every time.

My 5150 is in the shop at the moment and hearing yours makes me very sad. Such a distinct sounding amp and the second you hear a gojira record, you know it's a 5150

Great lesson great song great band, for my ears on the record and at 6:49 of your lesson they do 0 2 3333333... 0 2 3333333.. 0 3 222222... 0 3 22222.... and not 0 0 33333... 0 0 3333... 0 0 22222... and so on

6:10 - that note bend is hard for me haha idk why! What am I doing wrong ive been playing for 10+ years never as a pro don’t read tabs. Covered in metal tats, Gojira tatoo seen all them countless times and I play a Jackson too! Wtf haha by the way sick cover brotha

It’s not just a bend, it’s a pinch harmonic with a lot of vibrato. You need to find the sweet spot on the string, and you’ll need high output pickups and high gain for it to really ring out.

At 4:59 maybe it's just my ear, but I think they flat their first finger while playing the octave.

I found a big difference for me in the Mark iv and mark v 25 i used to have. But yes mate the 5153 slay for sure.

Great lesson. Are you use attenuator or power break? Evh isn't to loud in home? What volume is it?

lay your finger across like a bar fretting all the notes

lay your finger across the 5th fret lightly they usually do it there with the harmonics or sometimes 3rd fret. do the pick scrape using your picking hand mute the strings with your thumb also when you scrape up it will sound heavier it wont sound good if you dont mute also with picking hand
