I can’t lie when I first saw this, this shit was phenomenal. Goku was doin Kaio-Ken level attacks in his base form. You knew he was going to be a problem.

There was just something about Vegeta during that time. The bad guy saiyan felt so powerful to me as a viewer that it was really shocking to me how he was beaten by Recoome after that awesome combo. It made watching dbz so intense. Nowadays even if they're millions of time more powerful then what we see here, it somehow does not feel the same. The suspense was very real back in the day and boy...did they do a great job at that during the Namek saga
