I love this song. It reminds me of my Dear SISTER n CHRIST that went to be with the LORD this week. We use to sing this in church together her and another lady and I. She s safe with JESUS now free from sickness and pain. Rest easy my dear friend Donna Sapp. I love you and I'll see you soon. ❤
From Australia, Johnny’s still got it ! I have the Kingmen album from the early 70’s ! It was live and I absolutely loved this song! Thanks for the memories that have kept me loving Jesus my lord and Saviour!
Thank you so much for posting this! Marvellous to experience Johnny Parrack still performing those amazing high notes just the way he did it more than 20 years ago when he was one of the success stories in the famous Kings Quartet!
It's one of my all-time favorites! I was really hoping to catch the crowd's reaction as well as the singers. It was a thrill to be there for that moment.
Johnny definitely still has it! "Jay your good but you ain't that good" Mark and Nick Trammel sound so much alike i might not be able to tell one from the other on a recording!
john tabler ..... yeah, that was set up to have Johnny show up Jay, but Jay can do the same thing (check out several recordings featuring his tenor). BUT .... Johnny is AWESOME !!!
Lyrics: Is this road you're traveling Dark, deserted, or dim? Is there hope for tomorrow? Put your trust in Him. On this Glory Road I'm traveling, Many times I stumbled on my way. Praise the Lord, I'll soon be leaving To that land of perfect peace and endless day. I can see the lights of home; I can see Him on His throne. And I'm too near to turn back now, Oh praise the Lord, I'm Heaven bound. When my journey here shall end I'll say goodbye to this world of friends. In that fair land, I'll take my stand; It's good to be on this road for Glory Land. Oh I can see the lights of home; I can see Him on His throne. And I'm too near to turn back now, Oh praise the Lord, I'm Heaven bound. When my journey here shall end I'll say goodbye to this world of friends. In that fair land, I'll take my stand; It's good to be on this road for glory, On this road for glory,
This is a fun video. All the men are great singers although Danny Riley, who is more of a baritone had to try to sing Tim's parts in that one verse. I really like Jonathan Wilburn. I'm surprised he doesn't get consideration as one of the all time bests (although I admit I'm a newbie to posting on these types of videos and may just not be aware of it.)
