Wrestling referees bother me to no end. The few competent ones are there to call the match, when the far majority constantly get in the way. There's really no respect shown for the competitors by these goombas -

Damn watching that match made me grit my teeth hard by the end.

Gilman was stronger than Colon. The first caution point against Colon, must have come from Gilman controlling the action and snapping or pushing Colon around. Remember guys, Gilman is a defensive wrestler, his job is to control the center, and maybe get a shot or step out along the way. That’s what gave him the match, the judges come from other nations, they’re practically neutral on the world stage.
