Hi J. Thanks for the new video. You're so lucky (and experienced with your machine) in your gold hunts and yes, please add some more relic hunts. I'd love to see more of those too. So glad you're back :) Best regards.
Cheers mate, been a while. I see you still getting a few good finds. Nice work! Im going to try and get out more. Iv been liking the relic hunting. Its a bit easier to get away from a quick swing. You liking the NOX 800?
Missed you J so good to have you back Thanks for the great New Vid hopefully you are back on a regular basis again as we all need to experience detecting through you Thanks so much Cheers
Welcome back J good to see a new vid, Congrats on the nice day out finding gold, what fun! That farmer must have had a hole in his pocket, not to worry 60+ years later you tidy up after him. I just retired soon as i get the landcruiser and van sorted I'll get down to the triangle for a few weeks and put in the long hours detecting :)
Gday Asone, Congrats on retirement!! Now is the time to live it up! Its funny you say that, cause when i retire, ill be buying a cruiser and van as well and spend most my days in the bush. Its the only way to go. Good luck in the GT and fell free to let me know on how you go. Cheers, JG
Cheers Stuart, yeah i was pretty stoked. My mate went there after this vid (i should have never told him) and found a 13 grammer about 20m from my last nugget!! Never again!!! haha, Aw well... they'll be more there. Cheers JG
J Gold Ahhh!! I bet your mate was overthe moon!! I hope he got you a slab to drown the sorrows a bit 😊 I have a question if you dont mind answering... Do you use an sp01? I have a Gpz with the standard 14" coil and am considering adding one to my setup.
Gday Mate, ive never used any boosters before. Some people have had good success with them. Would they have found the same nuggets had they not been using one? Id love to know if they actually make a difference. If you get one, let me know how you find using it. Sorry i cant be of much help. JG
J Gold No worries, you do really well without one anyway. Keep up the great work!! Also, is there any chance you might be able to meet up with me sometime in the future and possibly test my gpz performance? I am getting a better understanding of the machine but im still not confident im getting the best performance out of it. If you dont wan to meet, which is completely fine. Would you be able to make a video showing exactly what you do to setup your machine and how to maintaine its optimal peformance all day. Thanks for your reply and happy swinging 😊
Gday Rick, with ground noise on the GPZ, try backing off the sensitivity and slow down your swing rate, Last resort, try ground smoothing if you have the last update, Cheers, JG
Yes, more, please! You're my favorite (well, only) nugget hunter to watch. You're a great vlogger - just the right mix of hunting, digging, and finds. Some just talk on and on about nothing, or the videos go on forever with no action. Curious - do you hunt mostly public land or private? Are you a research hound, tracking the geology and history of an area before hunting? Or, just get in the general area and start swinging? I just sold my last machine (Garrett AT Gold) an may get a Minelab (can't do a Z, but maybe an Equinox) - I've done well with relics of all sorts - Old West items, Indian Wars , mining camp stuff, some coins and jewelry, but haven't seriously tackled the gold, yet. (I'm in Mew Mexico, USA - there's a little bit around here and Arizona, nothing like your honey-holes though! Cheers!
Hi William, thanks for comments. I agree, i try and keep my videos with minimal BS and purely gold. Some people ramble on about garbage for 20mins about what they had for breakfast then finally at the end of the vid they show a rusty nail they found. I try and keep my vids to the point. In fact, ive got a few vids of some gold and relic finds which i wont upload because i dont think the finds are quite up to scratch. Im all about quality not quantity. Yes i do a bit of research but that will only get you so far.. .its all about getting out there and putting the coil to the soil.... which i attribute to most of my success. Defiantly get the Equinox. Its great machine and i love using mine, ive never used it on gold but some have had success with them on gold. Youll see a few more equinox vids uploaded soon. If you want a dedicated gold machine you cant go past the SDC2300 for ease of use and sensitivity on small gold. Ive never gone goldless using mine. Its another great machine. Thanks again and check out my latest vids for some nice big nuggets, Cheers JG.
Gday VGP. Yeah ive only started getting into relic hunting and quite enjoying it. Im thinking of uploading a few relic hunt vids to my channel soi hope they're well received. Its a lot easier to have a quick swing then a long trip to the GT. Any ways, good luck out there mate. JG
Gday SA, yeah mate. Been a little distant lately, sorry. Been busy with life, work family etc so i put youtube and gold on the back burner. But i got a bit of spare time from now on so ill hopefully be back on the gold. Still smoking those bunnies? JG
Nice to see you again Jay Gold! Thought u must of fallen down a old mine shaft in the triangle? Happy hunting, hope you keep the nuggets coming champion.
Gday Troy, hahaha na mate, i try and stay away form mineshafts after i dug a 1m hole right on the edge of one for half an hour, only to find a F%$in pick end!! Never again. haha. Hope your well mate, JG.
Cheers PW, I'm thinking of mixing things up a little and uploading a few relic hunts. Im loving the Equinox, and its a lot easier to relic hunt then makes long trips into the goldfields. Thanks for the feedback. JG
Gday Judy, id love to, but i sometimes dig dozens of rubbish targets in-between gold finds so to film everything from start to finish would take a lot of out takes. Some gold targets are more obvious, so i try and include as much as i can if i know its gold. Thanks for the comment. JG
Whilst scrolling through eBay, for varying prices to the Gold Bug Pro detector, I kept coming across these weird looking detectors that claim they can detect down to 30 metres and can scan a huge area. They are also supposed to locate precious gemstones even diamonds. It's a hand held unit held down parallel to your leg as you walk and has another electronic box unit clipped to your belt. One of the makers is AKS, and the price varies from $200 up to $1000 or more. Do you, with your experience, know of them, or if indeed they are worth investing in? I'm somehow unconvinced, and would rather stick to a conventional detector. Living in regional NSW, I'm far from a big city to conveniently travel there to view these models. Thanks in advance, and for sharing yet another great video, cheers...
Hahaha..how cool is that. I just noticed. We both have GPZ's, 800's and even the same Garrett digger. lol It is a good hand digger though, have to admit. Well done buddy. Lovely gold.
Finding a little. Here is a little promo video of some AU adventures and finds. Have a look if you get the chance buddy. Thanks ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eYTA60PQL_E.html

Gday MD, thanks mate. Its been a while i know, been bust with work ect, weather has been against me also. But plan on getting back into the GT a bit more from now on. Hope youre getting a few. JG
Hi J Can’t believe it’s been over a year since your last Video hope you’ve been well and on the Gold 😊 I have the Equinox 800 and I love it it is an awesome machine for the price Mainly use for the beaches however I have used in the goldfield And the tiny little nuggets it finds is amazing in trashy areas where you couldn’t possibly take a GPZ or gpx you just have to go really slow Cheers Mitch
Gdaay Mitch, yeah its been a while i know.. Ive been busy with work and other shit, so its good to get back out. I plan on getting out more from now on, so hopefully ill get more vids up. Yeah I'm loving the Equinox 800, its great fun on the relics for a quick detect in the arvo. Im yet to bring it to the goldfields buy will give it a go in a trashy area. Cheer mate. JG
I got excited when I saw it was a 1942 threepence, unfortunately it was a 1942d which is pretty much just scrap silver value, a 1942 with no d is a Melbourne one and worth about $15
Where do u find good spots to find gold me and my dad have been trying every where down at Warwick and other places idk where to go man please say what suburb u r in
I wish we had gold here in Ohio.....I have to settle for looking for arrowheads. I think I can find flakes of it....but who wants to find flakes...I want the HUGE NUGGETS
