Very nice job with ashing ic chips especially in separation on magnetic materials and non magnetic you spend time but you save acids 👍👍And very nice yield in gold !! 💪💪
Thanks for the video and motivation. I have at least 1 lb. of DDR chips and also some BGA and thicker chips to one day process or have some one toll refine for me. Some recently trimmed fingers as well. I think your DDR yield was good from what I have seen others post.
Great video but yield is low. You sure you never lost some in the washes or in AR stage? How about the silver did you not go after it ? I enjoyed the video anyway thanks.
@@ogbullion I didn't think so but I've thought of it recently with the silicon shortage. But if you think about it the silicon has already been refined, simple melt to start the new wafer process.
Do you have access to these items or do you purchase for purpose of making video just curious I have such a hard time finding this stuff anymore I used to go out on garbage night and come home with a nice load of e-waste now either people don't throw it away anymore or everyone is now taking it in to recycling centers but I find that hard to believe people are lazy and that would require effort
Everybody can say any number... but the reality is diferent thing... show me one people on youtube who able to recover 3 gramm / kilo ddr ram chips! Thanks for watching!👍
@@ogbullion 3gr/kg would be a dream, but I think 1,5gr/kg is more accurate. I have recovered always 1,5gr from these chips. It can be that you have lost some of your Gold during the washes. I recommend the non acid way even it may take longer. Try to process the ash with a blue bowl.
All that work for 5 1/4 grams, which is ~$300, is it worth it (energy, materials, TIME) ? Must have taken days to extract all those chips from the boards. If doing for hobby, then that’s good.
Hello, how did you seperate the silicon dyes after burning without crushing them? Did you handle each DDR chip by hand one by one? I don't see any other option after burning everything grey....Somehow I don't believe what I see in your video
@OG Bullion Hi, so you don't crush the burned chips at first. After burning you sieve it diectly and hereby avoid the silicon to be destroyed. I am asking because I have realized that if you crush the silicon dyes you will have massive problems with the HNO3. The acid will be consumed from the silica and it takes extemely much more time to finish the process.
@@ogbullion if I heard that before, I didn't believe either, but what I can say from my observations is that if I crush the silicon glass, somehow my HNO3 gets consumed or is "trapped". I keep adding and adding HNO3 and it is reacting and reacting! So, it has to do something with that....
@@ogbullion mate i didnt seen yield for silver and paladium from those ic batch. are you didnt extract it. or what ?? same as you i did this for hobby but I extract all the metal except iron. 5kg pure Ic its a lot of amount for me. i alreadi extract it too but not pure from ddr ic as i remember the yield is 1,1 gram au, 4 gram ag and 0,6 palladium from 1kg mix ic ram from sdram, ddr 1, ddr2 and some from edo. i extract all part not just the ic
@@cabulingue i have not found the silver and palladium, probably separated along with the magnetic stuff, those are still in AP. And i still have the resistors and mlcc's waiting for process.
