Golden Axe (PC Engine CD) Retrospective and Analysis - ChronCD Episode 19 

3:48 Sega couldn't have "taken care for the quality of this port" because they sold the rights of the PC Engine CD version to Telenet and thus have nothing to do with this game. Sega legally can't make Telenet do a better game because the game doesn't belong to Sega, it's Telenet's game. If you look at the game's packaging and advertisement, you don't see Sega anywhere except for a tiny Sega copyright acknowledgement for the Golden Axe IP.

Thought the music was OK, even if not that fitting in style. The rest kinda sucks. The PS2 version had an excellent remade orchestrated OST.

The only good thing were some of the cutscenes, outside of that. Err.
