He found his $ ticket, if the relationship lasts I’ll be shocked. She came across the most desperate in my opinion, so she might put up with him so she’s not alone anymore. He hurt Leslie a ton, but he didn’t really care. The moment he knew, was when he found out about her finances. First season of bachelor I’ve watched in years, now it will be the last season I ever watch. Just my opinion, so go ahead jump on the band wagon.

He totally lied to Leslie! And this other woman he dated, should have been shared with viewers. I can't stand to look at his creepy face anymore. They should have brought all this up on the show last night. I gave up watching the bachelor shows a few years ago. Got sucked into this. Never again.

I'm glad the interviewer brought up the allegations of the former girlfriend. It shouldn't be brushed aside because it speaks to his character and integrity. His TV persona was a man who was grieving the loss of his wife and hadn't dated much due to grief. Quickly dating someone else and living with her for 2 almost years, making her pay half, putting her out--these are huge red flags that shouldn't be ignored. The franchise made a lot of money off the Golden Bachelor; the TV Gerry and the real Gerry seem to be 2 different people. Theresa needs to move with caution but she's a little suspect based on her interaction with the woman who told her to "zip it."

I'm glad she asked about the "Theresa career" question! THAT is when I saw the 180-degree change in him when his eyes lit up after he said he was thinking of Leslie while with Theresa. Theresa says she was censoring herself this whole time thinking of her grandsons and other family members???? Was she censoring herself when she greeted Gerry nude in her birthday suit at the introduction? Was she thinking of her grandsons then?! I call BS!

This is such a bizarre couple. I was really rooting for them in the beginning. I knew she would be in his final 2. But during the fantasy sweet, he basically ignored her. It was thinking about Leslie. Then she tells him what she does for a living. And everything changes instantly hello teresa. And I'm glad that interview were put the mom. The spider said Hey, it seemed like the careers would change things. Because it' so true he's such a con artist

He never during the entire season, had any twinkle, sparkle, sparks, fire, or chemistry for Theresa at all. He never told Theresa that he loved her until the very last date he had with her during the pajama party overnight where she "Rocked His World". He is not in love with Theresa. He treated Leslie really messed up. He always had the hots for Leslie. He never had the hots for Theresa. Playing cruel love bombing games with Leslie’s emotions. A typical abusive man move. He made sure that Leslie felt secure in her hopes and her dreams of life with him. But then dropping her like a hot potato. He played Leslie for a fool. Theresa with the Joker's smile, will be hit with a very rude awakening real soon. He will never be able to continue to fake love or fake a spark and a chemistry connection for Theresa.

All these positive comments are unbelievable! This man lied to all the women about his past and yet everyone thinks he's the greatest and most sensitive guy out there that actually cried "real" tears. Come on people, get a grip and realize this guy is a phony and to make matters worse the so called winner is actually still going to marry him.

She likely got a big life insurance settlement and invested well, so yes it’s about the money, because prior to that it was Leslie and he told everyone he loved them before telling Theresa.

Leslie : Has two failed marriages and an extensive dating/sexual history with lots of baggage and trauma. It's ultimately concerning that she admits that men always reject her. So ask yourself.. Who is truly wife material? As much as women all over America are making Leslie the victim and Gerry the villain, the majority of men would pick Theresa. 💯

A person who would do what he did to Leslie is deeply disconnected from himself. So what if he was having those feelings in the moment. We’re not children, we have to be mature adults and consider the consequences of what we say. In that moment you Gerry didn’t know for sure you were going to pick her and therefore you need to zip it until you were getting down on one knee. This is the biggest red flag to me. I’m beginning to really doubt everything about you. I saw the video of your so-called ex. And I’m not saying I believe her. But what you did to Leslie was unforgivable and the fact that you don’t get it says volumes about you. I know you’re sincere and that’s a big problem, Because it means you lack self-awareness.

I loved everything about this season. I thought the relationships between all of the women as friends were truly authentic. At the end when Teresa said we loved all these women. I thought that was so sweet and the testimonial too adulthood and friendships.

I know there is a lot of disappointment in many quarters that Gerry did not pick Leslie. I feel Gerry did the right thing for both Leslie and himself by letting her go. Gerry may be a boomer, but he married Toni right out of high school and went on to raise a family with her in conservative Iowa. His life experience was similar to the generation prior to his (and even then the most conservative variant). Leslie is a younger Boomer - the post draft Jones/Wonder Years type - but her whole experience was Gen X. As an entertainer who worked with Prince as one of his dancers, she probably felt pressured to act even younger (and wilder). On Leslie's worse days, she looked like she was in her fifties. On the final show where she confronted Gerry once again and seemed more rested and polished, she looked like she was in her forties. I don't believe that Leslie and Gerry would have made it in the long run. IMO, she's two generations younger, she is used to a faster-paced, more cosmopolitan lifestyle. She'd ultimately hate Gerry for the same qualities that drew her to him. He'd end up looking old and boring and, in view of the fact that he's not as physically fit, she'd spent the last of their years being his nurse. My big hope is that Leslie finds another guy who wants to spend the rest of his life with her, as his wife, but who likes the city and has some experience and comfort with the entertainment and physical fitness industry. I hope he's successful and protective and an all around hero, like her brother Stuart - who I think is awesome.

I was wrong. he made the right choice, and i actually think this will work long term. I DO wish he had been more respectful towards Leslie, or at least more careful with his words. I understand where she is coming from. But i dont think he is the right guy for her either. I've been "in love with" guys that weren't the right guy for me.
