In Indonesia, it's just a wild tree that is only used as a toy, or we call it "CIPLUKAN" a group of children are usually blown at the end and then crushed on the forehead, but some people already know that this tree has benefits.
Ini mah waktu kecil gua makan. Yg masaknya manis, kalau yg hijaunya asam. Ini dulunya buat obat herbal juga. Masa gua anak2 memang sering mainin, soalnya buahnya bulet2 mengkilau gitu, tpi emang bisa dimakan
Tino tino. I love it. It burst when we chew it. Found in my fathers cornfield . We rushed to pick them and put right away in our mouth. Hmmmm taste really good .
In our province here in the Philippines, we called it "Tino- Tino", a wild grass/shrub that grows in sugarcane fields or countryside, usually eaten by chicken and other kids. Feel amazed that it's so valuable in south america.
In my country its call Ciplukan. This plant grows wild in the fields. Me and my friends often look for this plant when the rice or soybean harvest season arrives. We get a lot for free and can harvest it every day after school. Really nice memories😁
Our deep respect for the land and its harvest is the legacy of generations of farmers who put food on our tables, preserved our landscape, and inspired us with a powerful work ethic. Love from Korea🇰🇷💕
This is native in Brazil too. Here, it is called Physalys, a part of the scientific name. Brazilian golden berry is more sweet and have more intense flavour. I love it!
This video created nostalgia. My boyfriend once brought me these from his farm. It's the most amazing fruit I ever had. It's known as rasbhari in my area.
In my childhood in Kerala,it was grown wildly, the ripe fruits consumed a lot Grand parents knowing it's medicinal values to cure stomach related ailments, squeezed it's leaf juice ,and treated children by giving drops internally for belly ache, wonderful results, but later it's medicinal value receded to modern medicines,as a sign of natures withdrawal from humanbeings childhood !
Omg this brings back lots of childhood memories.. We used to hang out in jungle and fields to collect this berry and play with it and then eat it. I never knew it is being exported by other countries. It's easily available here in India and especially in north eastern States. Well taste wise its bitter when it's green in colour, better to eat when it turns golden...☺️
Last 3 decades of my existence I never thought that this fruit (tino-tino as we call it) is that popular and full of essential nutrients because me and my siblings together with the other kids in our village (Passi City, Iloilo, Philippines) used to pick them in the sugarcane plantation, rice fields after harvest season and everywhere they can thrive...maybe this fruit is one of the reasons if not the main reason why we grow up healthy because we ate a lot of this almost every day when we were...how I wish there still more of them growing in our locality...
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZmoMWKPiz90.html saw them cook tino-tino into a jam in a TV show. The fruit was pale white. Is it really the same as Cape gooseberry or tino-tino is a different plant?
in Indonesia, especially the city of Padang, West Sumatra. the name of the fruit is LATUIK LATUIK.. usually used as medicine, from the roots to the leaves and of course the fruit. This plant grows a lot in the yard of the house, and is like a wild plant. the point is this plant is FREE😁
There are many golden berries where I lived before in the Philippines during my childhood, never dared to eat them because I thought they were poisonous
It looks like a lantern... 😃 the moment they opened the outer cover, the fruit is shiny n looked tasty... we dn have this type of fruit here in India...
Hi! Canada here. I believe these are called Aunt Molly's ground cherry. I tried growing them last year but didn't do well. (beginner) I just bought some at the store from South America!! I will try growing again this summer.
I have known it as "tino-tino" used to hunt for them in my childhood days!😅.... they were wild plant with really nice fruit...small in size, sweet but also sour with lots of seeds inside... but it is not much known here in my country😅... only some of the locals, from provinces, knows that it is also a fruit... 😅
We called it teno-teno..it grows anywere here in province..we used to pick it along the road going to school during my childhood days very great memory indeed..
Philippines has this kind of plants but in wild, small plants compare this features. We call it so many names depend on the areas dialect. A sweet taste, golden color and one of my favorite foods in my childhood.
Excuse me sir, why it is essential can you tell me in my country this fruits are available. We don't know how is it important. If you tell me than why it is important I can cultivate.
Here in the Philippines specifically in our province in western Visayas we called it Lupok-Lupok, a wild type of berry which can be seen in a dry fields and lots of childrens loves to eat it
Физалис есть ягодный, овощной и декоративный. Может последний в плане поесть и не очень. Я сама разный выращивала, но так и не поняла, в чем его прикол. Даже зрелые на вкус как зелёные помидоры только с кислинкой.
These grow wild here in northern Arkansas, USA. Our ripe wild ones are sweeter and less tart than the commercially grown ones, but are not always easy to find. Here they are often called "ground cherries".
This berry got a name? OMG never thought that. Here in our village they are everywhere and we considered them as weed in orchard. Though they are pleasure to eat.
Golden berries contain phytosterols, a type of antioxidant that can help lower the amount of cholesterol in your blood, especially so-called “bad” (LDL) cholesterol. Cheers!
Ciplukan biasa sih banyak dan liar di sawah, tapi yang jenis golden sangat manis dan jenis yang sebesar telur ayam di grup facebook ada yang menjual benih bijinya tapi harganya mahal.
It a common plant here in the philippines, and is usually grown during summer, but no one knows about this plant except us, who live in the province, specially in panay in visayas, this plant has 2 kinds of fruit,.others has a white with reddish dots and other were golden, but smaller in size than this one
