With ID being a disembodied voice and Ash on the couch, I feel like we've got 2 Ashes now, and it reminds me of the good ol' times with Mirror Mat, the chaos levels are elevating in an alarmingly nostalgic™manner and I'm loving it!
I love when people mention mirror Matt’s era of gtlive, his era of gtlive was truly amazing, it felt like you really got to know him and see him blossom
Gotta love that in CLASSIC FNAF fashion, something new came out that throws half this theory out lol. The Week Before kinda makes us both wrong on what Its Me mean 😅 Regardless, again great points all around. And I can't stress enough how much of a massive honor this was. Thanks again everyone!!!
@@Moraca101 you may have correctly called me out- but you can’t tell me that Starkid-hatchetfeild is not right up mat’s ally. It’s a musical with eldritch gods, phycic children, dead children, and lore. THAT IS SEVERAL OF HIS FAVORITE THINGS! ALL IN ONE!
A giant detail people don't bring up as to why "It's Me", would be given to a "random" person, is when Mike saids, "They thought I was you." I feel this would give some explanation into why the animatronics would treat the player so familiar.
If I had a nickel for every time that Scraptrap video appeared on GTLive through another FNAFtuber, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot but... you know.
I agree that Scraptrap repaired himself. The lower jaw of Scraptrap kind of looks like Plushtraps too, with all the little teeth. I know most of the fandom agrees that the Nightmares are illusionary, but that detail always stuck out to me. Although I have no explanation for why his bones have lips.
As a Floridian, that whimsical explaination of red tide is grossly misdescribed. The bloom of algae from red tide pulls all of the oxygen out of the water. Which suffocated all of the sea life causing their carcasses to wash ashore and rot. Its horrifying and not "cool" at all.
It sounds cool if you don't know anything about the implications or how it works. If you just hear "bloom of colorful algae washes ashore" that sounds pleasant, kinda neat, wonder of nature. The reality is.. Oof yeah much worse
Yeah, was coming to the comments to say this. As a Floridian, not only is it devastating for sea life, but it also makes the air hazardous to breathe. Very fun
@@nottaiboRight? It really makes you think about humanity a little deeper and just how much self awareness tends to correlate to mental illness. (Spoiler alert, it has a lot to do with certain problems.)
@@ellespoonies yeah but also the idea that "a dog learnt language through buttons and ended up creating a sense of self, which immediately resulted in it falling into a deep depression" is just insane lol. Also the implication that there are "dog antidepressants" is pretty funny. Like yeah the little guy kinda gets it lol.
I've actually seen several channels that have these for their pets. Including some cats. It's really interesting how well they all communicate, assuming that"s what we're seeing.
@@wheezer141 Basically, the two big things are that animatronics other than Golden Freddy can say "It's me", and it's being said to people who aren't Michael Afton. This implies that the phrase isn't CC calling out to Mike, but instead something that the possessed animatronics say to anyone in general.
Mini theory. Perhaps Cassidy also says IT'S ME because Michael looks like William as implied by many bits of LORE. Just a small theory that would give a reason for Cassidy to say IT'S ME like ID believes.
28:08 Ash dancing to the music is a vibe. When it was brought up i was distracted by Helpy and the music during it. You could tell there was a bit of a trance between the three of them for this scene
Here's a kind of sad fact about Bunny: She is now on anti-depressants, because she was able to use her buttons to tell her owner that she was feeling depressed. At least last I heard. I'm not sure how she's doing now.
Would a rabbit even be able to understand a concept as complex as depression to convey it via buttons? I know rabbits, like most mammals, are capable of getting depressed, but conveying it is a whole other thing and seems rather scripted, tbh
Thought y'all might be interested in knowing the start of the talking dog buttons ((which are just push buttons that you record yourself by the way)) Christina Hunger, MA, CCC-SLP, is a speech-language pathologist and the first person to teach a dog to "talk" using augmentative communication. It was her using her profession to teach her dog, Stella to talk using buttons. Bunny is one of the many dogs using Christina Hunger's techniques to train dogs to "talk". Look up "Hunger for Words" if you are interested. As for using these buttons for merch, know that the buttons are just recordable buttons that you can record whatever you want on them. So I don't think its exactly the idea y'all were thinking of.
Matthew Patrick and Shaggy from Scooby-Doo watch a video about Five Nights At Freddy's, while a lost spirit off to their right aids them in theorizing about the subject at hand.
Okay but seriously, who DOESN'T see a FNAF musical as MatPats next project? It makes perfect sense. He's talked to Scott so I'm sure if they haven't been promised to another it'd be easy to get the adaptation rights(not sure if movies and music are seperate rights). Get some songwriters to work with the creators listed for their own songs. He's familiar with musicals and wanting to return to it. ❤
When mat was explaining agony I had an idea. What if the thing of torment for the crying child isn't Golden Freddy. What if it is Michael? This would also explain how he is able to survive the scooper. The it's me could all be in Michael's head. A vision from his brorher, within his mind.
On Bunny, at one point she was using the buttons to basically say or ask if her owner were ‘dog’ if “Bunny is dog”. She got upset when the owner said she (the owner) is human and not the same as Bunny. That was interesting to see her get upset that her owners were saying they weren’t the same pack essentiallt
rabbits are a social creature and, like dogs, they imprint on their owners as being part of their pack/group/family (at least until mating season kicks around and then they realize we're not the same and thus said rabbit will tend to feel depressed until either mating season ends or they get a "friend," though this obviously varies from rabbit to rabbit, much like it does for dogs and even cats sometimes.)
If the crying child is a wandering/untethered spirit, it would make the sister location make sense Golden freddy (the night 4 anamatronic your in) is in the bunker for seeminly go reason And the map of the bunker shows william is watching the crying childs room/the path to freddies from fanf 4 This explains the cameras would be re-creations of areas in attempt to keep the crying childs soul wandering in the bunker (the sucess of this attempt is debatable)
I absolutely love how they’re clearly such great friends and that’s why they go on huge crazy rants about lin-Manuel Miranda FNAF the SpongeBob musical and everything else😂❤
I think if scientists really did their doctorate thesis papers like this, with whole youtube channels who peer-review each others scietific theorems, there'd be a FREAKING TON more people interested in STEM fields!
Not just operant conditioning, it's amazing, they clearly share things like abstract thought, concern for others, etc. asking for specific things, it's really really amazing and it's complex enough that it brings into question a lot of assumptions about animal cognition
Though it's hard to tell how much of it is just accomplished via training for the video and how much is actually real since it'd technically be easier to teach a bunny, cat, dog, etc. to push buttons in a certain order (much like how seals can be taught to play songs using horns,) than to train them to associate certain words with given actions and objects. Now I do agree that animals most likely have a greater cognition than we give them credit for, but establishing communications with even animals as complex as apes can take a lot of training, so it's just really difficult to say how many of these situations are actually real or are scripted to create an illusion of more complex thinking.
I will say for extra context to the theory: "Its me" appears constantly without Golden Freddy. You see it when he's present, yes, but you also see it randomly, on posters, on the Foxy Sign, etc. Crying Child being a lost ghost calling out for his brother makes more sense in that light, and the reason it ramps up when Golden Freddy is about to jumpscare Michael is because CC/Dave is distressed. The trope in ghost media where a more passive ghost becomes incredibly scared/reactive when or right before a more powerful aggressive ghost is present.
It kind of goes back to what Matpat said about the Help Wanted banner, there is some basis to see where Rye is going, but it feels like he approached the idea from the wrong angle and took in the wrong pieces of evidence to support his theory, it's not bad as is, a bit more evidence like this is going to be necessary to prove that's the right direction to be looking in
I am so glad Matt finally referenced Agony from Into the Woods. It's all that's been playing in my head whenever Agony is brought up. Also Ash is freaking adorable and I'm glad they're the one taking over GT Live.
Oddly enough ...Moon Knight taught us that "protection " comes in many forms. So it is very possible for both Cassidy and Charlie to be protectors for the others.
58:56 this makes a lot of sense because the way you beat Golden Freddy in every game is by covering your face so the Vengeful Spirit doesn't think you're William because thinking back to Sister Location Michael says "They thought I was you" implying that he looks very similar to his dad William so Crying Child knows that the Vengeful Spirit will attack anything resembling William and therefore warning Michael??? But hey that's jUsT a ThEoRy 😵💫
@@justaperson4656 I have done theories on my channel about it. As the early timeline is essentially speculation, I theorised that Cassidy being the first victim answers ALOT
I think the coolest thing about Bunny is just that she's made a lot of people realize their pets are smarter than they thought they were. A dog memorizing a large map of buttons to use to get different results is not ground breaking in the world of animal science, but it's mind-blowing for a lot of people to learn that dogs even CAN do that. But of course they can. Your dog pushing "walk" on a button map is the same thing as your dog bringing you their leash.
47:47 we have more evidence for "it's me" being less related to golden freddy now with The Week Before interactive novel! I believe both Chica and Freddy say it at some points? But that opens up another can of worms because it weakens the theory that "it's me" is the crying child reaching out to michael 😔
I have doubts about Scraptrap having Golden Freddy parts when we see a separate Spring Bonnie head that looks like Scraptrap’s in the Fnaf 4 Parts and Service cutscene
Hello! Quick input about "it's me". I believe it's become something that means something to both (if subscribed to the 2 soul theory) souls. With crying child it's reaching out and kind. The main characters are his family. With Cass it is all focused on William. Mike repeatedly has been told he looks like his father, and wears security gear and other stuff his father has. That's why even tho crying child is also saying it, and being kind. Cass with the rage of thinking whether it's Mike or William, that it's the person who ruthlessly and brutally murdered them. Or that's what I think at this point in the series. I think it has Become something that relates to both, either or.
I like Gibi's theory that Dave possesses his Fredbear plushie, which was likely put inside Golden Freddy's suit. It explains why Dave says, "I can't see," in the logbook. He could be the lower half while Cassidy is the head. Either William could've put the plushie in the suit, or it ended up in there with some sort of paranormal explanation. He also used the novel trilogy as a bit more evidence since Charlie was a doll put back together by Henry.
i love the buttons ash talks about. i see cats use it too. i've been wanting to try them with my cat bc i cannot understand "MEEEOEOOWWWW" no matter how hard i try
Crazy theory: What if agony possess golden Freddy and whenever we play as Michael in FNAF and golden Freddy says ‘it’s me’ agony is referring to how much agony Michael caused to his brother… It’s just a wild guess…

Bunny asked questions like, “Mom animal? Bunny animal? Bunny dog? Mom dog?” She was trying to understand the difference between her and her human owner. She even was able two explain when she had feelings of anxiety. PLEASE Matt, please react to Bunny. She’s such a good baby
