I loved the golden girls & still watch them today every chance I get.These women made this show all of them were great actress. My favorite was always Estelle Getty Then Blanche & Dorothy & Rose but I loved them all. A very funny show. NO I never knew her Emmy disappeared & I don't think it was right it belong to Estelle & her family & no one else had a right to it.
Estelle was a firecracker as Sophia. Much loved and part of a quad team in Golden Girls! Her timing and quick wit were pure genius! Loved her! Miss her! ❤❤❤
No I did not know of the Data about her Emmy disappearing.Among all of the above-mentioned data I did hear of much of it including How she couldn't be The Lifetime Special on a Friday Night.On this Bea Arthur gave a Dedication saying "To Estelle Getty who couldn't be with us tonight because she's retired from showbusiness many hugs going out to you Ma, I Love You."

I'd heard a rumor that she and Bea Arthur didn't get along on Golden Girls, but don't know if it was really true. She was very good in that movie Mask, playing Cher's mom.

Not only have all 4 ladies passed away so have Herb Edelman and Harold Gould. Herb passed away long before anyone somewhere between 25-30 years ago. Harold passed away around that same time as Rue. For Herb it was 7/21/96 his passing
