This Golden Latte Cocktail comes together with a lovely homemade golden honey infused with fresh tumeric, ginger, black pepper and cinnamon. Topped with bee pollen granules ... it's simply a sublime spring cocktail...

I love incorporating healthy ingredients into my cocktails, and this one is the healthiest by far.
The star of this cocktail is an infused honey that contains turmeric, ginger, black pepper and cinnamon.
Using local honey is ideal for this infusion because it will contain trace amounts of the pollen in your area that could help build up your tolerance. I highly recommend saving the aromatics after you strain the honey- and add them to some warm milk. I added mine to a blend of warm coconut and almond milk and it was divine!
Golden Honey:
1/3 cup local honey
2.5 tbs fresh grated turmeric (use 1/3 this amount if using dried ground turmeric)
2 tbs fresh grated ginger
6-8 black peppercorns (lightly crushed)
1 cinnamon stick
Heat all ingredients using a double boiler over med low heat until aromatics become fragrant (about 10 mins)
Strain and enjoy!
To make it a syrup for cocktails, add 1 tbs hot water to thin it out slightly.
Golden Latte Cocktail:
2 oz bourbon
1 oz golden honey
.75 oz lemon juice
1 egg white
Shake with 2 small cubes until ice has dissolved, pour into a cocktail coupe and garnish with bee pollen granules.
