@@r423sdex The exposure has the ability to grab your attention with its fantastic rhythm and timing, its warm detailed tone and effortless authentic presentation of the music leads to using the word “musical” to describe it. In comparison with the arcam its not got the same power and grunt but the arcam doesn’t get your toes tapping and put a big grin on your face the same way as the exposure, I’m not sure what other word i could use to describe this in short other than “musical”
The speakers are Royd Abbots, pre amp is a project phono mm (soon to be upgraded) amp is a exposure xv. It’s mostly vintage gear tbh. Just ordered the goldring 1042, looking forward to that.

Oh im not too sure really. Class A usually sounds like what you describe, sugden, musical fidelity. The old exposures are in that region too but they are 25-30 years old, nothing wrong with that if you don’t mind getting one serviced. This one of mine is only 40w so not a power house but works quite well with the 90db Abbots, something further up the range with more power would obviously be better, i suppose it depends on how difficult your speakers are to drive. What are your speakers again?
@@russellparker4568an old version of Opera Prima's, produced around 2012, not the recent ones. I am thinking about getting one of the Arcam's class G AVR, as someone nearby is selling AVR600 for about $400! I am not sure yet. Let me know what you think.
