Goldwing Owners Beware of TBR!
So I didn’t want to make this video but Two Brothers Racing and 58Cycle left me no choice!
TBR might make some great products but they failed miserably on this one!
I’ve basically been ghosted by 58Cycle as well. At this point I can’t in good conscience recommend giving either company your business!

Pete so far everything that I have purchased for my new wing has fit perfectly, no problems at all. a couple of us are going to the terra fried chicken tomorrow morning for breakfast we leave the 7/11 at 8am Kings hywy n 75 across from the super walmart

100% agree!!! When you advertise something stand behind it. I can’t stand it when I buy something then find out I have to buy something else or pay to have it modified to fit….for that I’ll just buy Harley pipes and modify them to fit the wing…will you have to tune the wing after punching the pipes? I know nothing about wings….give us a video of how they sound.

Thats a real bummer. Had a go around with V&H did a buyer beware vid on a set of their pipes. Helped a few people make an informed decision. Hope this help yours too. Good video bud!

Nothing to do with the quality of the bikes, ignore that argument. Harley sells how many road glides, street glides, and road kings? The budget for QC on that many potential sales is probably higher than sets of pipes that only fit one bike which I would guess is a tenth or less potential sales. Not making excuses just saying the manufacturer is probably aware of QC short comings and the profit/loss risks just aren’t worth more investment to them.

I agree. And they make great pipes for certain bikes but these just plain don’t fit. When you work hard to pay for something from a good company you expect better. And you’re right, in essence they’ll risk the QC shortcomings because of volume etc. Thanks for watching and for the comment!

That's crazy i bought and installed a carbon black series slip-on for my C14 and fit like a glove and sounded amazing. My wing though i want it quiet but it does suck the EPA/Honda went after Guhl tuning and shut them down from performance flashing. With out recalibrating the ECU the only thing you're doing is making more noise and loosing power by installing aftermarket pipes.

I agree. The Guhl reflash made all the difference and added performance to the bike. If I ever get a set of aftermarket pipes I’ll definitely loot at the BT MOTO tuner and reflash. I’ve heard good things about it. Thanks for the feedback and for watching!

They fit good on 17’s and down. 18’s and up are major problems. I have them on my 16 GW F6B. Those mufflers made a sound that hurts my ears. The decibels between the GW sound and the TBR’s mufflers produces a noise that is very irritating. Takes a while to get used to, not sweet to your ears… just saying…

I ordered the same pipes for my 21 gold wing I have the dealer doing it. Now you got me thinking twice. I had TBRs on my Harley never had any issues so now I def gotta do some research before installing these.

I know plenty of people who have had great luck with TBR on their Wings and definitely on their Harleys. I just had bad luck and shitty fitment. Hopefully the dealership will get them on with no issues.

@@Amir-ie2yz no I didn’t get them on. Fitment was way off. I decided to just modify the stock pipes instead. Couldn’t get them returned so they are sitting in my garage collecting dust.

Stand your ground! Although TBR HD parts seem to be good, the company is now burned for me completely. You should have never been in this situation. TBR has to make you hole again. Terrible business practice and model. Made in the U.S.A. means you stand by your product and care for your American customers !

I think I understand it that TBR sells a bolt on item that's obviously the wrong size for specific models, but they keep it on their web page as a simple bolt on. WTF, do they think folks will just give up and put the pipes on the shelf and forget about it?

@rasextractionlimited1813 agreed! Remus is outrageous. Look up E.G.G. Exhaust. Buddy St. Pierre is supposed to have an exhaust coming out that sounds amazing. He’s got sound clips and it really does sound good.

Damn $900 for scrap metal. Sucks that stuff like that happens. The poor quality is on the Harley's too. I went through three exhaust brackets before they could get it right. I think there mission statement is QUANTITY over QUALITY.

That's definitely shitty. I've been eying a set of TBR's for my 15 wing.. but ya unfortunately the $1000 is a bit much for me. I've got a TBR slip on on my CBR and it was perfect easy install. I will say the tail end cap is degrading now, but it's probably been on the bike 11 or 12yrs now

Yeah, $900 they should fit like glove. I've use TBR parts on metric bikes since the 90s, No issues. I wonder if TBR knew a % of those parts were messed up, and 58 cycles bought the lot taking a chance most would work. Totally Sucks.

Man a lot of people have had great luck with the TBR pipes, I just wasn’t one of them. The fitment was terrible and no matter how hard I tried the right side just wouldn’t go on. Had several people look at it and try but it was a no go. Maybe you’ll have better luck than I did…

I Jerry rigged my hwy pegs not a big deal I have the same ones u have but I needed to make them a bit longer my boots scrape on turnst 💩💩💩💩💩💩 in my pants the 1st time 🤣🤣🤣it wasn't to bad of adding few parts. Hwy pegs don't mess with my factory warranty the exhaust will.

I don’t know Paul. I think they’re specific to the newer model Goldwing. But they could be modified to fit. I just got pissed they didn’t fit correctly and gave up!

Absolutely right ! TBR Exhausts are a big shit for the SC79. I bought mine about 2 years ago. Especially they didn't fit on the right side. They just forgot that there is a gearbox on th GW. Unbelievable. I had to hammer a dent into it in order to get this fucking thing bolted on my bike. I also remember that there was an annoying noise at a certain RPM. Finally I sold them on Ebay for 500 bucks. So Hands Off from TBR

$1,000 will buy a ton of super-useful farkles. Why anyone would want to change the pipes is beyond me. You must truly hate your neighbors. LOL Phook 'em! That being said, you paid for something you can't use. They should refund the money. If they won't I would put in a protest with your credit card company. (You did use a credit card, right?)

I did use a credit card and filed a dispute. The cc company sided with them. I showed that the slip ons were too small to fit over the head pipes. Didn’t matter. They said I knew the risk when purchasing custom parts. Honestly I could go to a muffler shop and have them fixed and fitted up easily. But to me that was beside the point. They should fit as advertised out of the box. It sucks but you live and you learn.

I'm shook man! Two Brother's racing is top notch like you said for Harley. Crazy how the fitment was that bad on the wing. Great video for putting on the blast, helps anyone before spending that $$$$!

Nothing worse than buying a product that SAYS it will work and then doesn't, and getting into a lengthy email back and forth for days on end. Well, I have said it repeatedly - the Gold Wing and the Valk sound great with the stock exhaust. But you created your own solution by drilling it out yourself. Maybe it isn't what you were ultimately wanting as far as sound, but aside from spending $1,000 on the non-working product, you solved the issue yourself for free. Maybe you can sell the pipes to someone else and cut your losses. But not offering a refund for an unworkable solution is BS. I would be THOROUGHLY P.O.'ed. You'll have to demo the sound for us. Hoping the weather breaks here for a ride. Managed to get out earlier this week and took a few pix, but no video. Hope all is well with you man! Thanks buddy. I'm sorry but I can't stand the sound of the stock exhaust on these things or on the Valkyries. But I've learned your better off to modify the stock pipes versus buying anything aftermarket on these newer Goldwings... Thanks for watching and for the support buddy.

Seems to me the run around started early on. Looks like TBR, dumped them to 58Cycle probably at a fire sale price because TBR knew they had a problem product on their hands. 58Cycle won't refund cause they are maybe greedy. I'm just giving my opinion on the situation. I would be so PO'D if I spent a grand on a product that did not fit. I'm one who will give the benefit of a doubt to almost everybody. But when you crap on me, I'm done, and it's on. Sorry you got shafted on the deal. Bad business models from both companies. Great and informative video, and letting the motorcycle community know of the problem. Ride and stay safe down there in Big Texas!

Yeah, this whole situation has been crappy from the git go. And I'm the first one to try and give people the benefit of the doubt. But 58Cycle has pretty much ignored me and this is the best way to get their attention... Thanks for watching and for the support.

They’re ok… sound much better than stock and added a little growl to the bike. I like it for a mod that cost me literally nothing. I used a 1/2” bit and it worked well. Good luck and let me know your opinion when you’re done!
