He mutters at her as she goes past him: “I figured it was gonna happen.” 😂😂😂😂 Is he saying he knew his wife was going to get kicked out??! Should have left her at home, buddy. Tsk tsk tsk.
Exactly. How can the defendant say that the plaintiff came out of nowhere when she was driving straight on the road? I'm wondering if there is something wrong with the defendant's vision.
@casual35. Nah. He’s just thinks his desire (to avoid responsibility) trumps the facts/truth. That’s no different from gen XYZers believing their subjective reality (feelings) matter more than facts/truth. They’re all the same.
Now we’re taught that our feelings can override facts. So avoiding responsibility is easier than ever. Naturally, very new generation always ( 💯%) thinks they’re smarter, more mature/rational than previous ones. 🤣
Nah, she's just a haggard who makes excuses for her drunkard husband who probably cheats on her at the country club smh...trust me unfortunately I know these types...
The wife wasn’t even there when the accident happened… I bet when it was over she pointed fingers at everyone. Blamed her husband for not explaining it right, blame the plaintiff because she was really at fault, and blamed judge Judy because she didn’t let her talk.🤦🏻♀️😑
On the "phooooene"😂. Her whimpering when she was kicked out was icing on the cake. The Plaintiff saying she couldn't stop in time was not an admission of guilt. It was an admission of fact. She saw him coming at her at the last minute and she couldn't AVOID HIM(as he came at her from the side). Maybe she should have worded it differently(to the wife) while on the "phoooene".
It doesn't matter that she was speeding. She was on the main road and had priority. It's the golf cart driver's responsibility to give way since he had a stop sign. Also, considering the plaintiff had just made a right turn prior to the collision, I doubt she was speeding anyway.
The defendant is the cutest little old guy, but he is so wrong, and so stubborn. His wife is not living in our dimension and is probably the reason he was having a liquid lunch.
I remember specifically from drivers education classes that when you are at a stop sign, it is your responsibility to look both ways and gauge if you have ample time to pull out without disrupting the flow of traffic. If someone is speeding, you don't pull out! Point blank, you have no right of way. You have a stop sign. Wait for whatever parade of crazy is on the main road to pass. Simply stopping doesn't mean you then get to pull out whenever you want lol. The defendant might never understand his fault. Don't be like the defendant lol
Sounds like this defendant could have possibly got 'sauced up' coming from that country club and bar. More than likely just blew through his stop sign and didn't see this lady coming at the last min. Luckily he hit her side on and not the other way around
Wow! I haven’t heard his name in years! He was the true pioneer in this field of television. I don’t remember him being nearly as funny and/or crabby as JJ is, though. Whatever the case, I love JJ to pieces!
I still can't figure out what his defense/reasoning is----at best, it is "she came out of nowhere". So she illegally used teleportation? That's his whole defense? I don't even know why the judge entertained where the damage was on the vehicles. Even if it had been the plaintiff's front, it would still be his fault. Both of the defendants apparently drove for decades without understanding the basic concept of right-of-way.
I think they were desperately trying to claim that the only reason the accident happened was because she was speeding. The wife kept claiming the Plaintiff had a stop sign, so I think the wife believes if the Plaintiff had actually stopped at it, she wouldn't have been going so fast to hit her husband, who was probably creeping slow as hell in that golf cart. The husband probably DID stop at the stop sign and looked both ways, but if his depth of perception is as bad as my mother in law's, he didn't adequately time when he could cross correctly. That's what they don't seem to understand. He didn't cross at the right time. I almost garauntee they're thr type to get in a fee more accidents in that community.
I have a property down in Panama on a golf course in a gated community. You bet your sweet ass, every single retired snow bird that visits the country club is wasted when they leave. Defendant saying he had nothing to drink is absolute crap
Plaintiff said it right, "they are old, and think they can get away with it." It's a shame that someone that old can't accept fault for an accident they caused.
JJ face before she put her out was priceless. Old lady " No, please I have something important to say." Husben "I know that was next" Old lady "She told us to tell the truth" 😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂 I love that show! Richard was always trying to tell it like it was, and Hyacinth wouldn’t have it! My favorite episode was when they bought a small piece of an estate, and they were both in kitchen and they got stuck together! Never laughed so hard as I did the first 10 times I saw that!! And for as many seasons as that show was on, we never did see Sheridan!
Plaintiff: they’re old and think they can get away with it ! Lady you ain’t no spring chicken either ! JJ really laid in to defendants wife, can only imagine what it’s like for him at home .
No brainer here. How can the plaintiff come out of nowhere, when her stop sign was meters away from the defendant, she turned right and drove straight down the road and he claims he didn't see her? I'm sorry, but that doesn't make any sense. If someone is coming straight and there is no stop sign, you wait, period. Sounds to me that the defendant got impatient and just decided to proceed. That's the problem with drivers out there. They have no patience whatsoever; it's all opera to them.
"STOP" = Stop and look both ways to make sure nothing is coming before you pull out into the road. The defendant seems to think that just because he stopped, he is not in the wrong.
