They also changed that you dont need to stick to the ability score bonusses a race gives, but choose them yourself. Which gives a lot more freedom for what class to pick.
Goliath necromancer. The clan kept starving to death. He became clan leader. He could not feed the clan. He went to be carried away by the wind. As he felt himself dying, he became fascinated with the feeling. Now he's crazy, pride hurt, and talking to his new clan of animal bones.
I rolled up a Goliath Socerer/Draconic Bloodline the other day. 18 STR, 18 CHA and 9 DEX. He's old, a dying silver dragon saved his life by infusing its blood with his. He's currently a back-up in case my bard dies.
I just built a Goliath fighter. My DM is letting me have a animated shield so my AC is 20 and if I use action surge my *minimum* damage is 80. Max 130. It's gonna be fun.
Goliath Rune Knight. One ability of rune knight is you can change your size to one larger than you are add to that the goliaths ability to pick up things like it is one size larger and you could probably negotiate/talk your way into being able to just being able to pick up smaller monsters and throwing them or simply body slamming giants.
Throw on enhance ability and your capacity doubles again. With 20 strength and a high enough Rune Knight level, that's a carrying capacity of 4800 lbs. Push/drag/lift 9600.
I think a Goliath Oath of the Ancients Paladin, worshipper of Haeitia would be pretty kick ass. I like the idea that you have a small, unpopular break away clan that has decided to worship the patron of their potential ancestors, and that this clan wishes to pass that knowledge onto the next generation.
I was going to make him a human, but a Goliath sounds really good for his story. He is one of the hunters of his clan and is a barbarian class. When he was the age of 10 he was left behind by the clan and tried to found them, but instead a rampaging bull came charging at him, run a long distance to found a rotten Barn in good condition. He hide in there but the bull was faster and slammed one of the supports and the whole thing thing Barn fall on them. He was still alive but the bull🐂 was just getting started, it had scratches all over it's body but was stuck. He had to finish the job before it was free, so he had a hunter's knife and stab it though the neck, killing the beast instantly. As a trophy he carved out the head, teared it's flash off and wore it as a mask. The clan manage to find the boy in the woods injured. He refuses to take the mask off because of all the scars it left when the Barn fall on him. After this he is one of the most best hunters in the clan. Until he got bored and left the clan to hunt much bigger game🐲🐲🐲🔥🔥🔥.
This is my first character build and I am having a blast! Thank you for your guidance! GOLIATH MUSCLE MOMMY BARBARIAN!!! I AM GOING TO STAB AND SMASH ALL THE THINGS. I have a creative side with glassblowing adding the application of silver and gold harvested to fuze with the glass. Lawful neutral. I cannot wait to play this character.
I created a noble Goliath fighter. He had been left behind by his tribe as a child and was found by a group of human nobles that were hunting. He then went on to direct the defense of the last known city on the face of the world from a siege of the undead horde made from the population of the rest of the world, and then forge together a kingdom from the fragments of civilization that were left.
I’m about to play my second character (and my first I’m giving thought and a backstory to) as a Female Goliath Ranger Monster Hunter. Super excited. It’s giving Aragorn meets Geralt and I’m ready to f**k sh!t up.
I'm a little late to the party, lol. My favorite one i have had so far was in 3.5. His name was Goc-On-Loa (Bone Breaker). He was an ape totem goliath Barbarian, with levels of figghter. By the end he wielded a Colossal Goliath Grathammer made of Platninum. But character wise he was an Exiled Chief, that began adventuring.
@@JordKriger Even later reply. But I made a Goliath monk, and I used tasha cauldron to help at low level to increase my unarmed strike by taking fighter at first level and getting unarm fighting style. So d6 or d8. From there I say look at the palm Subclass or if you want to move more then drunken master.
huge incentive for wizards is that endurance ability where you negate a d12 damage plus con that is good for martial classes early on but great for low hp classes always and helps with action economy even if only a tiny bit
My current kensei monk Goliath is basically a temple statue given sentience who is wandering the world seeking weapons stolen from his home similar to Benkei from Japanese mythology.
Trying to get back in D&D after years and hearing about the Goliath is a dream. Since if your DM allow it. You can be creative with the background. Been working on a Goliath, on my own due to covid and no D&D group atm. Been dancing with the idea of a cursed Goliath. And depending on the DM, a beast master ranger goliath might be an interesting build
My current Goliath is a sorcerer that was raised by wolves. He hallucinates that his pet rock is alive and sometimes uses illusion without realizing to make the rock genuinely speak and others can hear. He has gotten hit a few times in the head and switched personalities with the rock, and the once more fusing them into one.
So I just started a campaign and I want to be a 1/2 giant so my DM recommended Goliath so I thought about it I decided to do a monk Multi class Cleric. And I'm going the drunken monk
in my school campaign I had a part of Merlin's soul inside of me, and i thought it would be funny to kill self inside a world serpants stomach so that i would explode (it worked and was halarious) and now im making Stone Goliath Monk (cuz my first character is now millions of small pieces of blood and guts)
Goliath Barbarian/Monk multiclass. Go Barb 3/Monk 17. You can use either version of Unarmed Defense... whichever gives you the best AC. As a Barb you won't care much about incoming damage anyway. I used this split because I went Open Hand for the Monk and I wanted Quivering Palm if the campaign goes the distance. You know those old Kung Fu movies where that one guy was really big and strong? Yeah...you're THAT guy!
I made the classic Goliath barbarian with a two handed axe. Lo-Kag Ironsides Nola-Kalathi was taken captive after his clan was butchered by slavers. He then spent many friendless years as a pit fighter, killing fellow slaves for his captors entertainment. One night he managed to escape his cell and found the leaders tent. In a rage filled but silent struggle he tore the hobgoblins head from his shoulders. He took up an axe in one hand, head dangling in the other, and walked out of the camp. Only a few guards got close before seeing their mighty leaders head in this giants hand. None challenged him.
Hmm I have always interpreted goliaths as chaotic good or neutral alignment. But my goliaths are more like vikings and less like on paper Goliaths as described here XD
I made a Goliath warlock. He was the runt of the pack and was gonna be killed off so he made a deal for power. After the pack found out he was forced out when they ganged up on him.
im gonna be playing a goliath rouge in a plane scape game. main reason i found art i thought was cool an fit a goliath rouge her stats are really good i rolled them up i have 2 16s in con and str and a 14 in dex going for a exiled golithe as she was exiled as she well cheated in a contest of strength where she herself saw no fault in what she had done the chief did and had exiled her. she then wandered the land for a bit and ended up getting drafted onto a boat where she get the sailor background from
Goliath tempest cleric! Nimbus gray skin, graphite gray hair and glowing yellow eyes who calls down lightning and sleet storms! Åska or "storm" from clan Graskala. Åska mean thunder.
I am new to Dnd. im looking to build a paladin goliath that worships an evil god to keep his clan alive. Im questioning my choice of deity since it's emprisonned and all, and I would like your feedback on it. The clan's centuries old village lays on top of a volcano, but one day, the volcano started to awaken, leaving the clan to boiling hot temperatures of which they are not built for. As the clan leader, my character sold his soul to the demon Kostchtchie, lord of the frost giants in exchange for the village safety. Now, he must find a way to liberate Kostchtchie from Zariel in the Nine Hells before his allegence to the demon turns him mad. (He will not admit it, but the madness has lightly started) My goliath is filled with good intentions, but the worshipping must continue if he wants to keep his clan safe, so he tends to be prone to irrational anger due to the madness.
I'm working on a big, self-absorbed herbo (female himbo) Goliath paladin. Not super inventive, I just wanna play a cocky SOB that thinks they're the best thing since sliced bread that everyone wants to sleep with, but they must regretfully decline your unspoken invitation of fornication because they have sworn an oath of chastity. When in reality everyone will be annoyed with her and how highly she thinks of herself as a force for justice and all that is pure. It's like that kind of arrogance that is feigned sympathy for the weak, where they kind of use heroism as a way to try and impress people.
Great way make a Giant mad..."Mangura Bok Wok Lok" (Stupid Blockhead) If u r lucky n can get away,u could b known as Wun like Hell. 😅 I think I would choose Fighter/Monk. Clan Stonefist
