The most underrated British band of all time. I'm sure they produced the first album in their garage and it won a mercury prize? I might be wrong, them days were hazy 😁😁
I agree, still listen regularly. Saw them live on the liquid skin & they were fantastic. Some little band called Coldplay were the support act, whatever happened to them?
My favourite track from their first album. I worked with Ben's dad for many years before his tragically early death. I can still remember Ben as a toddler jumping up and down on my new settee (much to my chagrin) - but given the quality of his singing, any damage he did was well worth it. Caught the band live several times in Sheffield and saw Ben's mum (Sam) in the audience. Was tempted to say "Hello", but decided it was probably wise not to raise ghosts from the past. Very glad to see that Ben has continued in the music business. He is phenomenally talented and I'd love him to receive the recognition he deserves.

What he was talking about was Gomez, and how talented one of the members was and how he knew Ben since Ben was a child. One of the best albums ever. Been trying to remember the name of this band for ages and then Rick Stein's just been to Tijuana and, voila, here I am! Going to tell some young musicians about Gomez and spread the word :)

Went to see Ian and Ben at Birmingham last Wednesday. Live is alway joy of this lot. Epic little gig that deserved a bigger audience. Unfortunately the semi final was also on so people were missing. Then some very drunk people turned up and started singing quite loudly. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
