For anyone who might be asking, "Will there be a full version?" Honestly probably not (?) This was something I just really needed to pump out of my brain real quick because it wouldn't leave me alone every time I listened to this song and I figured since the Fruits Basket anime is officially ending next week, it'd be fun to post this before then! ^^ The song is copyrighted so obviously I don't make anything off of it, it's just for fun! (if I were to make a full vers. it'd have to be when I have the time and after I've finished all my other projects/obligations. I am only one person T_T)
Man, the fact that fruit basket throughout the show painted Akito as a true villain while Shigure was doing work in the shadows is really smooth and a good play. The author wanted everyone to think Akito was the bad guy because of how much emotional pain she caused, but the fans didn't seem to notice how Shigure manipulated people in the background while she was inflicting all this pain.

@@ToonsySM oh ok no problem TDLR: Shigure is a trouble maker, a non violent sadist and a drama seeker who uses these traits to stir the plot for other characters in both a light hearted or negative heavy way for his own entertainment. Shigure is a character who enjoys people's suffering for his own entertainment. He likes drama. There have also been instances where he gets involved and participates towards this in order for a laugh. Examples (spoilers): 1.when he found out tohru is a poor girl living in a tent he laughed the entire time she was explaning her story. 2. He hides from his editor and tells her that he hasn't done his work just to see her freak out when work is due. *(Light hearted)* 3. He tells Tohru that kyo is seen as a scapegoat for the somas just so they know there is someone even worse out there when they feel that they are bad people. In this case someTHING because yk the cat drill. *(Heavily negative)* 4. Also, the other characters are used to this. Especially the older characters. For example, when Hatori is speaking to maya and she thinks hatori has a gf due to some bs shigure told her. Hatori tells her that she should know better than believe what shigure says. *(Trouble making, drama seeking)* Im not sure entirely how he manipulates EVERY character myself. I just think that this aspect of shigure is a big deal and definitely plays a part in his ability to manipulate other characters. This ranges from small lighted hearted things (like him finding out kyo is in his schools play) to big heavily negative things (like him discovering akito slept with Kureno so he slept with her mum). I feel like this song honestly applies to Rin as well. Especially with what she said in the final episode. About how she can't move on and just forgive Akito for everything she did, her frustration at everyone else for moving on so quickly, and frustration at herself for holding them back
I don't think nobody forgave akito for all the things she did, i think when everyone lost their powers they stop seeing akito as a menacing figure and just went on with their lives in a bittersweet but in the end happy note. Honestly i don't blame rin for not forgiving akito... the girl did too much damage on a already physically / mentally ill and abused person.
@@waterking74 Characters like Yuki, Kyo, Tohru, Hatori and Kureno did. Not sure about some I named but pretty sure about Yuki. He forgave her in the 2nd season itself. At the banquet, Akito hit him because he indirectly expressed that and it angered her how he moved on from her that is. Yuki's entire character is about forgiving, healing and taking everything good and bad in your stride and pass on what you have learned to others. Kyo's major trauma wasn't caused by Akito but she was still terrible to him, despite that he forgave her after seeing how Tohru did. Hatori I think forgave her at that moment where she was crying and he just went up to her then carried her inside which wasn't only because as a zodiac he can't see her in pain but was also because he saw her as a child which to me showed that not only he can't resent her because of the curse but at this point he doesn't resent her by his own will and has moved forward. Kureno I think never resented her in the first place even though she held him back and made him suffer soo much he never resented her because he was kind and in turn resented himself. The scene where Momiji told Akito how he knows Kureno won't be mad at her for stabbing him and he truly wasn't clearly shows he doesn't resent her. Other characters like Rin, Haru, Momiji, Kisa and Hiro like you said didn't exactly forgive her but just stopped seeing her as a menacing figure and went on with their lives. @Mejo_Jojo yeah because we know that shigure like akito but he keeps like annoy her by cheating on her just because she did the same with other zodiac members so yeah their relationship is pretty complicated

Fruits basket 2019 was such a good anime. The ending was perfect, in my opinion. The story was so good. It's rare in anime for every character to get a happy ending.
I really like how the show managed Akhito’s character development. Although I still hate her for the damage she has caused on the Somas, I appreciate that Akhito is finally understanding how terrible of a person she was and that she’s willing to change for the better.
exactly! In fact..im starting to forgive her now, and even respect her. Not many people realise their actions are horrible and abusing bc they're sucked up into their own world that they become oblivious to reality. For Akito's case it was different, despite the fact that she was twisted and dark and did many horrible things, shes willing to change. That is something incredible in my opinion, people might hate me for thiis and call me crazy or something, but right now, Akito has my respect.
I like how people are able to sympathize with Akitos situation even though she is the villain who has done horrible things. I can even relate to her, having all of the people around me being stolen from me it sucks and I hope her friendship with tohru mends her heart
Akito is unforgivable for everything she's done to the Sohmas. For what she did to Rin and Yuki, ESPECIALLY. But dear got, get her away from Shigure and the rest of the family. She may be horrible, but I can't say i'd stand there and let Shigure mess with her head if he did that in front of me. Shigure, in my mind, is the most twisted out of all the cast. And it's even scarier to know he fully realizes this, and revels in it.

Well shigure is a kind of silent yandere...he wants akito all by himself and wants to be her first no matter what....but she puts the curse over him like she slept with kureno and seduces the male sohmas and even does wrong things to the female sohmas...so shigure's master plan is to break the curse and win akito which actually works out good for everyone eventually...u will see how vulnearable he is in front of the new akito in the next ep 12....he changes back into his funny loving personality and marries her and even having a son shiki.

@@otakusenpai549 if you think about it, shigure and tohru had quite a similar goal..everyone seems to hate shigure but he really just wanted to break the curse to be with akito just like how tohru wanted to break it to be with kyo. I admit the way he manipulated people to reach his goal wasn’t admirable but he and tohru really were one in the same. It makes sense bc they are both born in the year of the dog and one of the main traits of the zodiac dog is loyalty
This honestly pictured Akito's character perfectly and the relation she has with the zodiacs. She's been my favourite character since I've first read it. Her story keeps getting deeper the more you look into it, discovering new things as I ran through the books over and over again. Reading the series from her point of view was so hurtful: she's a victim in all of this chaos (it still doesn't excuse her being the abuser). And please read Fruits Basket: Another ! It made me lover her even more. I love your artstyle

@@yannadasalla9371 she is a victim cuz akito followed the path her father gave her, and akito's mother never Loved akito, and akito was never considered a part of the zodiac but someone above it, akito didn't know a other path, she just took the path her father gave her after he died so she is a victim of emotional abuse, and she had to hide the fact that she is a girl cuz of her mother so she is physically abused and mental abused from her mother and everyone around her

Akito has always been a character that I’m very intrigued by. There’s so much trauma in their past that they then pass on to those around them, which I always thought fit nicely with the circular/generational nature of the curse. They’re a great antagonist in that you hate them RIGHT up until the point you see through their eyes, and then they become a lot more complex. Fantastic animatic, I’m loving all the Fruits Basket support 💕

I wouldnt say smooth but thats entirely okay. More frames dont always equal better animation. The use of the limited frames are really good. With the action being fast you wouldnt notice more frames anyways. If you look at some animations they look Way worse with more frames. Ace attorney is great at using limited frames to accentuate the action even though it was just cause if the budget. Sorry if this sounded mean.
Akito is one of the great characters who is seen as evil but is is just broken and I love how you showed the pain they went through! If this doesn’t get attention people don’t have good taste!

The final season has made me feel so emotional - just by how the season is being portrayed aswell as the actions of the characters. I think I’ve cried every time while watching every episode in season 3. ( loll. )

Although there are moments where I can hardly forgive the character for, it all comes down to the fact that her mother created a monster of a family leader. The past wasn't her fault, but it doesn't always excuse her actions towards her family

That aside, it does not justify her actions and although I can’t forgive akito, I really do like her character depth and character arc.

Just finished Fruits Basket reboot and I gotta say this video is making me relive all the drama and tesnsion of the series. Amazing art as always!! Thanks for making this. Dunno how I ever missed this series growing up. It turned out to me much different than what I'd expected in the best possible way

I think akito is so misunderstood, In my opinion she one of the best written characters in the show. I'm not saying that the things that she has done is ok but she got a lot going on rn. I'm so happy that more people are seeing how well written she is too. :) LOVE THE ARE ITS SOOOOOO GOOD
I wish it showed more of their lives afterwards, like Yuki in college, Hanijima getting with a foreigner, Kyo and Tohru coming back and then have their day to day lives as parents and adults
Yea I would have rather had them have season 3 with the usual amount of episodes showing every that happened after high school instead of 13 episodes and it just ends with them never telling us any of the names of everyone in their family

Thank you for introducing me to Fruits Basket! It’s the first anime I’ve ever watched and I love it! I started a few days ago and I’m already done with season one! I watched the last fifteen ish episodes today.
I haven't watched fruits basket, but I read the manga. And omg it is literally sooo satisfying to see everybody with their happy endings wrapped up so beautifully.
