Good-Bye Paul Harrell...We've Lost One of the Best of Us. 

My favorite thing someone said about Paul was "He was the Mr. Rodgers of the gun world". Hard to think of a greater compliment. You will be very much missed Paul. Rest peacefully.

If the gun community was more like Paul Harrell we'd be so much better off as a community. Be Like Paul

Paul Harrel was to guns like Bob Ross was to painting 😢

His channel got 50,000 new subscribers in the last 24 hours. He was the best. RIP Sir.

Paul was one of the greats. Last year, my friend and I met him at a gun show in Western Missouri. Paul was wearing his trademark jacket, and he couldn't have been nicer. Paul Harrell was in a class all his own. He will be missed.

His honesty in his videos was unparalleled, and his Meat Target was unbeatable, he was a rock star within the 2A and Gun community. His absence will be deeply felt in this world. I wish I could express more, but I find myself at a loss for words right now.

I'm not crying, you're crying! Ok, we're all crying this time.

He was an absolute legend

I've spent the last three Thanksgivings at work, and Paul's "Thanksgiving Specials" made a big difference. "Poptarts, where a Man belongs!"

Paul was very scientific in his approach and taught me a whole lot. Thanks, Paul!

Paul was my all time favorite! I was heartbroken when I saw it was posted he had passed. He is missed and will continue to be.

I'm not a gun guy. I don't own a gun. I live in Maine and used to work at L. L. Bean, so I get hunting, but guns designed for other uses...well, not my jam. But, I discovered Paul's videos one night surfing around on the internets, and was a big fan. I admired his intelligence, his use of analytics and the way he could tie those analytics into something practical. I admired his very dry sense of humor and the granularity of his curiosity. And, most of all, I admired what a kick-ass teacher he was. It was always about his subject, and only about him when that was in service of his subject. God he was good. And now, I get to admire the sanity he brought to his own death, and the way he shared information - not maudlin, not sentimental, respecting the fact that we were not family, but fans. An adult all the way in a world of too many children pretending to be grown up. Bye Paul, and thanks.

A few months ago, one of my coworkers mentioned that the way I carry myself and speak to customers reminds him a lot of Paul. Honestly one of the best compliments I've gotten.

When I had my stroke, I was having trouble using my right hand and walking and seeing. I sat at my reloading bench for hours on end for 3 months, retraining my brain to use my right hand to reload ammo. I watched all of Paul videos while I sat there, and I was like I am going to do it. I am going to get better and go out and shoot and enjoy my gun again. I made a full recovery from my stroke and I regained all of my right fine motor skills, and walk and see just fine. It is really sad what happened to him. I am really going to miss him.

His dry sense of humor was the best....

One of the great Thank You's I think the RU-vid gun community gave was him was the rally to give the 1 Million Subscribers. It was very clearly a community effort to him and now even if they came late a 1 Million+ will know the greatness of Paul Harrell and his contribution to the gun community.

Eloquent, refined, articulate, thorough, informative, inspiring, intelligent, and a great advocate for the shooting community. After we lost Mel Tappan and Col Jeff Cooper I never thought we would ever find such a wise, informative and intelligent gun advocacy supporter and producer.

As Paul's brother says, "He is where a man belongs." God bless you Paul, you made me smile in some dark times.

Great tribute Yankee. I got to meet Paul at a gun show in Oregon about 5 years ago. Just like you said, he was the same guy in person that you saw in his videos. He was one of a kind.

I felt that connection to his channel when I got my first gun. I couldn't decide between a Glock & Smith & Wesson. Then I chose the one that felt better in my hand. Same day, I get home and saw a video of his where he said 'this hand fits my hand better' and I smiled to myself. It wasn't some Tacti-tard or ballistics nerd's info on the gun. It was just simple reasoning.

i just seen a vid today they posted of him that he wasnt doing well. sad to hear he past. he was very good at making vids. calm, knowledgeable, refreshing compared to a lot of others.

I watched Paul's videos because he put huge effort and resources and time into making them. He deserved all the success he had and more. I myself have a terminal cancer and it's tough to keep a good attitude and he did. See you on the other side Paul.

Paul was and still is amazing! I loved his content. The farewell video he recorded prior to his passing was sad. I hope people dont try to steal his content now that he has passed. I really hope his brother contuinues the channel as best he can and in time after grieving. He was my favorite to watch. the worst part about his stuff was the length and amount of knowledge sometimes youd have to rewatch or rewind to catch all the info. A great content creator. I hope he was as great of a person as he appeared to be. I never met him and sadly never will now. He will be greatly missed. RIP PAUL HARRELL

Yankee you are the reason I know of Paul from about 4 years ago.

I never watched him regularly, but his channel is one of the ones I frequently came across a few years ago when I was first learning about guns. His videos were information without frills, which is what I always look for whenever I am researching something new. A lot of what I know about guns today I learned from Paul Harrell first.

I enjoyed his humor. You had to listen for it but it was always there. His demeanor was always calm and rational.

I enjoyed watching Paul Harrel because he didn't talk politics, religion, or bs. And the meat target is so much better than gel, he was extremely smart but act like he's not that smart. He talked about hos speach impediment but I never really noticed myself. If there is an afterlife we hope Paul is on a big open range enjoying eternity😢
