And If the soldiers families start asking about they loved ones they brutally murdered and cut pieces, and say that serial Killers like Bundy, Gacy, Kemper etc. kill them, thats B.S. there are not those kinda Killers it's All fake. Only true killer was Iceman who murdered over 1 million soldiers and their families, Donald Trump say that, so it's true!! Russia is only lost today maybe 5- 10 soldiers at max today, Trump says. I believe, because Trump never lie!! Never!! Like Trump said Russia is the most powefull country in the World, NATO had no choice at all, they won a NATO in 5-7 days! My favourite scene in the film. Cronauer is dejected and ready to quit, until a quick-thinking Garlick puts him on the spot and reminds him of why he needs to keep doing what he does best. And this one very fine example of a scene where you just know all the laughter is genuine.

Around the point where it starts showing the faces of these soldiers just enjoying the jokes, it was obvious that this scene was meant for them, but at the same time, it felt like it was more of a tribute to Robin just being Robin while these actors just sat and watched him make them jokes.

The scene right after this is the most poignant of the entire movie, in my opinion. Truck load after truck load of young faces being hauled away potentially to their death in a war they didn’t start or really understand.

My uncle did two tours in Vietnam as part of the Air Force. He was one of those “survivors,” but the war left him a functioning alcoholic for many years until nearly dying from an esophageal hemorrhage forced him to get sober. I don’t know much about his time there-our family has a “don’t ask, don’t tell” approach to that. We don’t ask, and he doesn’t tell. How many other veterans were left similarly damaged by their experiences in the military? I don’t want to know!

Best scene in the movie. Cronauer was dealing with everything from Dickerson and Hauk and just didnt feel like doing it anymore. And it's not easy to just be "on" like that when you aren't feeling it. But, he recognized quickly these were just a bunch of kids, likely headed into harm's way because of a bunch of bureaucrats. He knew an impromptu show might buoy their spirits a bit, and that (from the standpoint of someone in his position with Armed Forces Radio) THESE were the guys who mattered and not the bureaucrats he was dealing with. And not for nothing but I read once (I forget where) that this was one of those scenes where they just turned the camera on and said "Robin, be brilliant". And he was.

Siskel and Ebert said this scene went on for too long. They both loved the movie, but they were wrong about this scene. The way Adrian didn’t want to do the radio performance and have to put on the act for the soldiers tells us about his character. He obviously feels for these young men being hauled out that may never return.

First watched it as a teenager - it was a fun Robin Williams film, lots of jokes, many I didn't understand yet. But the sheer energy, couldn't help but laugh. Second time I watched it, I was in my mid twenties... hits completely different. It is not a comedy anymore. And now in my thirties, I see the film for what it is. Comedy here is a shield, a defensive scream of life itself against the forces of death and unreason. And I can think of no man more fit to play that role than Robin Williams himself.

I've heard the story that most of this scene was just Robin ad-libbing for a camera test before the actual scene was to be shot. The cameraman kept shooting and went to the director afterward and told him he had to see what he had just filmed. Some scenes were added to tie it together, but most of the comic rant was pure Robin.
