Soooo true!! Great parody of BC vs Quebec too! 😆 They nailed it. Duo is FULL of completely worthless phrases that will NEVER be used anywhere. "My hedgehog does not drink milk...the cows are sisters" (Russian lessons) God, say that in Russian and you'll get beaten up!

I can skip saying a word. I can use a slightly similar word and it accepts it. This video wasn't very accurate, but Duolingo is fantastic at getting people to keep logging in to learn another language, so I don't give the video a thumbs down

Couldnt 22 Minutes have come up with a different kind of stereotype for one of their characters at the time? Like when maybe trying to learn French while being a red neck Albertan or whatever? A red neck Albertan who allegedly now according to some while being a priviledged southerner who couldn't be bothered to learn Parisien French has never appreciated her francophone father well enough back then. Back then when a runnaway from up north may have escaped having to be dropped off with nothing but the clothes on his back way up north near the north pole too.
