i may just be delusional but this could be one of my fav ever eps of tv... ever!!!!!!! don't ask why... i just love it so much!!!!!!!!!!! instgram: / nadjasluvr tiktok: / nadjasluvr #goodomens #ineffablehusbands #edit #humour
I love this one too. They’re so connected, seem closer to each other. And I love the 40s look. Aziraphale looks so innocent (and giddy!) and Crowley is elegant yet comical. Not his usual snark, but supportive.
i don’t see the minisodes as fillers, i think they give us explanations to many details in the plot while also being very entertaining! they are my favorite parts of the season ❤
It's the double-breasted jacket. I have no idea why, but double-breasted jackets are so much more hot than single-breasted ones. And as for the opening, it's the reaching in to undo the inside button that's looks so good. Reaching into jackets as a whole looks great, for some reason.
Honestly that first scene when Shax says Aziraphale doesny seem Crowleys type at all and his reaction lives rent free in my head more than I care to admit 😂😂😂😂
This episode seems so weird and silly yet there is a hidden tragedy there. It’s the night Aziraphale fell in love with Crowley. They have a great time together, establishing their trust in one another, being giddy and happy and cute. Then Furfur shows up to remind them why they can’t be together. They can’t be seen in each others company, they have to hide their relationship. They end the night with a nice candlelight dinner in private and while they are still cute and happy to spend time together it’s more subdued and melancholic.
Awwwe, it's why Crowley always want Aziraphale to run off with him and be an "us." They were happy. After 6000 years of loneliness and torment, happy means a lot.
The 40s has been my favorite historical era of the ineffable couple from the moment I watched it in season 1, & this episode only reaffirmed that. It’s truly the peak of their romance & I’m so happy we got to see Crowley & Aziraphale just having simple fun together & plenty of romantic atmosphere despite hell’s interventions.
“I think he must’ve been asleep i heard snoring coming from his bedroom” *cue the sound of breaking glass in the bg and aziraphale looking back* this is comedy gold lmao 5:46
I always noticed that too! I was like “isn’t that glass breaking” & then I thought I was mistaken, so I was like “am I hearing things? Was it a car?” 😆
this episode is not only my favourite but has my favourite scene in the entire series: the bullet catch. maybe it’s the inherent love and trust of the whole thing, or maybe i’m just a theatre gay and i miss being on stage with my partner. who knows :P
Absolutely hilarious that when Mark Gatiss' zombie is reading Aziraphale's lips, you think he's just a really horrible lip reader but later you find out those were the actual words Aziraphale was saying 😂😂😂
“You, my Nefertiti fooling fellow, are about to perform on the WestEnd Stage!” even after “Every Day” i’m convinced that Azi wanted to run away with Crowley
I think about this episode quite a bit, and I feel like some people really underestimate how important it is for Crowley and Aziraphale's relationship. The scene in the church from season 1 is big because it establishes a trust that we didn't get to see previously --- Crowley entering a place that's dangerous for him to help Aziraphale and trusting him to save them from the bomb --- and then Crowley showing that what matters to Aziraphale matters to him as well by remembering to save the books. This minisode takes that such a huge step further though. They've helped each other out in the past, but this time they find out at the most inopportune moment that they're completely powerless. And they're forced to rely on each other without miracles. Aziraphale must trust Crowley not to discorporate him (especially after finding out he's never fired a gun) and Crowley must trust not only Aziraphale's confidence in him, but also himself. Then when they find out they've been caught by Furfur, Aziraphale uses no more than his own wit and amateur magic skill to steal the photo and protect Crowley. They're both as powerless as humans in the back half of this minisode, and they still come through for each other when it's most important. That adds a completely new layer of trust that we'd never seen onscreen before this point. The stakes were higher for them than usual and they both had to be brave. I love that so much.
This was my fave too! 1941 was my fave flashback in season 1 so I was really happy to see more of it and there was so much Ineffable Husbands content! 💞
This took me roughly 15 minutes to watch because I kept rewinding and rewatching my favorite parts, which were basically all the parts (Very good video indeed)
Oh, I just got it! "Did you miss me? I bet you did." "I'm sure it did." Aziraphale knows the Bentley had fun being yellow and honking at the kids but he didn't want to burst Crowley's bubble.
Aziraphel sounded like he stepped in something, he'd have to scrape off the bottom of his shoe when correcting Furfur.😁 Crowley not remembering him at all adds a nice insult to injury. For him not even being on Crowley's list of "interests".😂
Did you guys catch how, when Azi walks on stage and says, "What's that man doing there," Crowley mouths the words "on the stage" and then Azi says "on the stage." Crowley had helped him with his lines.
I love how technically all of the league of gentlemen are in this ep (Steve Pemberton, Reece Shearsmith, Mark Gatiss and Michael Sheen as he played Jeremy Dyson in the league of gentlemen film)
Ok but why is the part where Azi changes the picture in the envelope NOT in this video, I mean, it would´ve been SO obvious to any human but as they´re demons no one noticed XD
