Thanks Sendarya! Anyone else have thoughts on Aziraphale's meandering through the 7 deadlies? He's already mastered: greed (his books), gluttony (his food), pride (his clothes, his bookshop, his collection, his goodness, his "I have standards!"), sloth (the arrangement is created so they don't have to work as much, the hours of the bookshop so he doesn't have to even pretend to sell books), and lust (we all know Aziraphale lusts, and for whom he lusts). Then there is envy. Who could Aziraphale be envious of in Season 3? Gabriel and Beelzebub, who have what he wants? Frankly, every other couple that we know about. Maggie and Nina? Madame Tracy and Shadwell? Anathema and Newt? Crowley and (fill in the blank)? Could someone else develop a friendship with Crowley that Aziraphale doesn't/can't have anymore? Another angel, like Muriel, perhaps? Maybe Aziraphale becomes envious of the life and freedom that he doesn't have anymore. Like Muriel, living in his bookshop, enjoying his books, and access to human things, independently of a possible friendship with Crowley. He could possibly become envious of the other angels and their certainty in the cause, that he doesn't share. And then we have wrath. I can see so much that could tap into Aziraphale's anger. Anger at Crowley for not choosing him/Heaven. I think the most likely target, however, will be the other angels, but Aziraphale may vent his wrath at God herself. Just something I've been mulling over, but I'd love to hear other's thoughts on how it could play out in the coming season. Ooohhh. I just had another thought. If Aziraphale is working through the 7 Deadly Sins, is Crowley working through the 7 Virtues? Chastity, temperance, charity, diligence, patience, kindness, and humility?
I like it! I could see envy of Muriel especially and wrath perhaps at Crowley, not for not coming to Heaven but perhaps for not trusting Aziraphale that he (Aziraphale) needed to go to Heaven to protect Earth. Anger at Crowley for not believing that Aziraphale would not truly leave him, even if he didn't feel he could communicate what was going on in those final moments of S2.
@@AziraleyLove I need to familiarize myself with the 7 Virtues more, but I think it may be that part of them becoming free (to be their own side), is that Crowley is too good for Hell and Aziraphale is too bad for Heaven. Maybe I'm grasping at straws.
I'm with you on that! I feel like it's easier to see the sins! But you never know which ideas and theories end up fitting in the end. Keep it up. I'd love to hear more!@@erykaton170
Sometimes, when I watch bloopers, I wonder I anything actually gets done. Makes me appreciate how much work goes into makes something that’s seems seamless. Thanks for the update! It’s encouraging to know things are moving forward. If Neil is happy with the writing and Prime is happy, too, it’s encouraging that production won’t be too distant. I wish post production times weren’t so long. I know we all prefer that it’s all done to perfection, but it’s so hard to wait. When I watched the first season, I assumed that was it. I didn’t know anything about following the fandom. So when I learned that a second season was going to be released, it wasn’t that long. This is pure torture but knowing things are moving along offers some solace. Thanks for keeping us undated. ❤
I hope Eric is in S3. That might be a nice name for your first born, lol. I think if they start filming this year it won't be till the last quarter. If memory serves, Michael Sheen is in a play till May, at least. And with David Tennant's comment about another run, on his, I can't imagine the wait would be long since they wouldn't let the hype settle on that. Also, Good Omens is big enough to have their own lovely climate controlled sound stage instead of having to film in a freezing cold car park. S1 nostalgia, it was so cold we couls see their breath. So filming can happen anytime. Just my thoughts, anyway. Love the blooper reel, lol. ❤
It’s going to take some time to build their sets, scenes that might not include David and Michael (hopefully not too many), so hopefully things can move forward more or less seamlessly when they are available.
I think we are definitely seeing more of the season 1 characters, because if we think about it the book is called the nice and accurate prophecies of Agnes Nutter, witch. And there is a second book of prophecies by Agnes, it was burned but I don't think they would have included it on season 1 if it wasn't important for the plot.
Sendarya, great video, as usual! I read about Neil's notebook, and made a silly comment on the post I saw about Neil having been in Australia in January, and asked that Aussie fans go searching for it! 😂 There's a few things that I can't let go of because it's helping keep me from getting overwhelmingly excited whenever I see a news tidbit about the show. The biggest thing is the title that Neil and Terry gave for their sequel idea: "668: The Neighbor of the Beast." To me, this screams that we're going back to Tadfield, where everything almost fell apart in the first place. The goal for Neil and Terry was to complete the whole apocalypse/ second coming storyline, and that THAT will be the main plot of S3. Sadly, I suspect the relationship we love so much will take a back seat in S3 until it advances the main plot. I fear we might not see as much about their relationship as we hope for, especially since Aziraphale went back to fix things and negate the need for the whole affair once and for all. I hope we'll see how Crowley's doing and that he's doing okay, but I do hope even more so that we'll see his fall because Azi finds that file with his new Supreme powers. Lastly, I hope Meta gets erased from the book of life, if that's even possible. 👹
For certain, s3 will be more similar to s1. I agree, the relationship of the ineffables will take a back seat, but it will still be integral to the plot, I think.
@@EvelynBaron I'm actually of the belief that Adam never lost his powers, or at least I'm hoping he hasn't. Or else what caused that bush to die so Dog could escape from their backyard, Dog himself? Even though he's a hellhound, he's still a dog, and dogs don't understand English that well, no matter how much we want to believe they do. 😁 (Yes, I AM guilty of holding complex conversations with my dog and want to believe he understands a whole lot more than he possibly could.) Besides, in my mind, "humanity" will need a leader in Crowley's "us against all of them" war, and who better to lead them than a former antichrist who loves his world? Adam would be nearly 20 or so by then, so.... Come home for the summer from University and save the world yet again. Just your usual semester break, right? 😎
@@EvelynBaron I want to believe that A and C stayed in their own form overnight, where they both stayed at C's place (probably drinking all night long, knowing them haha) and switched that morning. I think Neil all but confirmed that in the scenes you mentioned (inspecting the car/ bookshop) that they had switched bodies at that point. (Or maybe he did confirm it and I forgot that part, I dunno.) Plus, there's the clues! A was very... cool (like C) when he was inspecting the shop, and C grinned when he saw the car had been restored but DIDN'T drive it, AND you can see the "tartan (jacket) collar" as he's walking over to the taxi. (I've watched it all far too many times now that I'm sure I could give even more evidence, but my coffee hasn't kicked in yet haha.)
Regarding Michael McKean, he might not return as Shadwell but a different character altogether. Like Miranda Richardson who played Madame Tracy in S1 and Shax in S2 or Reese Shearsmith who was Shakespeare in S1 and Furfur in S2.
I've been thinking about plots for season 3 and I found a few possible stories. 1: Crowley is so pissed he decides to launch Armageddon by setting fire to London. The celestial armies, led by Aziraphale, come to stop him. When Azi sees his friend so angry, he realises how wrong he was and tells him to stop it. Crowley doesn't answer (he probably can't hear him with all that noise) so Azi comes closer and performs the apology dance, despite the Hellfire. Crowley finally notices his friend, runs at him and catches him before he falls on the ground. He then tries to go to the bookshop but Muriel refuses to let him in. He then goes to Nina's cafe where Gabriel and Bee arrive a few moments later. They join forces to protect the cafe and heal Aziraphale. 2: After only a few days in Heaven, Aziraphale feels depressed, he terribly misses Crowley and completely neglects his work. He weeps constantly, so much that he causes a new flood. On Earth, Crowley notices that something's wrong. He tells Muriel about it and they join forces to assemble the most people they can and build sort of an ark to keep all of them safe. Aziraphale then realises what he's done, goes to Earth and, in his despair, he wants to throw himself into the water. Fortunatelly, he sees all the people in the ark and goes join them. 3: Once again, Aziraphale feels depressed and neglects his work. On Earth, Crowley is equally depressed, contantly drinking and thinking about suicide. At one point, he decides it's enough and starts to steal holy water. At the same time, Azi decides to go to Earth to check his bookshop. Some people recognise him in the street and tell him that someone has done a lot of mess in the bookshop. Azi goes there and is horrified to see that all the books disappeared. Muriel sees him, he asks what happened and she calmly answered that she burnt all of them. Overcome with despair, Azi decides to go to Crowley's place to apologise and seek some comfort but when he arrives, the house is empty and the plants are in a bad state. While looking for his friend, Azi notices that the bathtub is filled with water and there are feathers floating on it. He touches the water: it's holy water. Realising what Crowley has in mind, Azi takes the Bentley and drives as fast as he can to the old church. He sees Crowley standing on a remaining of the church, ready to jump into the font. Aziraphale deploys his wings and manages to catch his friend before he dies. In any case, once the friends are reunited, they embrace each other and organise a little party, which allows them to dance a gavotte.
Thank you Sendarya for all these great news! It’s always a pleasure to listen to you, even to the bloopers. That reminds one how much work it actually is, to produce this kind of videos!
Thanks for the recommendation to watch Arrival. I popped over to Amazon Prime and watched it right away. Wow. Gonna let that sit for a while, and probably watch it again. Wow. Just.... wow.
Okay, kind people on the internet, this is a question that haunts me, pretty much ever since I binge watched thhis show very first time: Seson 2, Episode 1827 in Edinburgh, after Elspeth left the cemetery: 😇 That was very kind of you, Crowley. 😈 Not kind! Off my head on laudanum! Not responsible for my actions! 😇 Well, they surely have noticed downstairs. You just did a very good deed indeed! 😈Trust me, if hell noticed thaat little display, i’d already be… *screams as he is dragged down *Aziraphale’s voice from the Off: And that was the last I was to see of Crowley for quite some time… -> Notice the inset! The next time we know they met is in 1862 at St. James‘ Park (Season 1, Episode 3): 😈 Look, I’ve been thinking. What if all goes wrong? We have a lot in common, you and me… for it all goes pear-shaped. If all goes wrong… I want insurance! -> Why does Crowley need the Holy Water like right now? They could have asked for it ever since! -> What happend to Crowley in this 35 years since Edinburgh? What (TF) did hell do to them? Guess we can add the happenings of the years 1827-1862 to our Season 3 Bingo
It is a puzzle! If also curious that he says "and that's the last I would see of Crowley for quite sine time." But that journal entry is mete mo ths from when Crowley was sucked into hell. So... he must have already seen Crowley again?
I simply must correct one little thing. You keep calling “Anansi Boys” Ah-neh-sah-zi Boys and it’s a play on Nancy Boys- “Ah-NAN-see”. Otherwise thanks for all your vids! Great job. (And I love the way you find little details I missed seeing. I like some of your theories and I guess Wait And See is the name of the game!
OT, but there's something quite meta about Anansi. Anansi is a spider trickster god, Nyame is the sky god who owns all the stories. Anansi strikes a deal with him then hoodwinkeds a number of beasts so he can be the Lord of All Stories. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-G0dsjv9c5MU.html
Hi Hi Sendarya. I have a question which was hesitant to ask, I'm not sure if I'm being completely blonde. So in the script book Neil says Aziraphale's name is pronounced azeerafail. Aziraphale's nom de plume is Mr. Fell, which kinda sounds like fail, but I was wondering if Aziraphale used the name Fell as homage to his fallen angel? Fall - Fallen - Fell? Also the full name of the book store is A.Z Fell and Co?....
Somewhere I remember an interview in which Neil recalls that Terry thought Mr. Fell was a funny name for an angel who hadn't fallen. Will it turn out to mean more? Possibly so! It's an interesting idea, and not a silly one at all. ❤️
I think he must be talking about writing Good Omens also. I can't imagine Amazon and the BBC just waiting around whilst he does something else. The BBC has to pay rent for that set, as it's built up in Scoltand. I kind of hope David T transferring MacBeth doesn't delay production.. I do think they'd work the play around it most likely, if those dates aren't confirmed he'd have to honour whatever is agreed already for GO..
I know we could all watch this until the heat death of the universe. But truly, the best stories are often those with a planned conclusion like this. It's brevity will make it that much more precious to us!
I'm not looking for s3 to drop before late 2026 or later. If writing is still "several months" until finished as of 2/24, shooting can't possibly start before very late this year or early next. Then allow close to a year for shooting and then another at least for everything else.
I believe filming will start in June 2024 and I think it’s more likely, that season three will air in late 2025. There’re still some months till Summer. And we shan’t forget, that Neil was already halfway through the scripts by the beginning of January… Anyway, there’re still lots of things to do, but they will manage it!
I think it is wise to be receptive to Good Omens not focusing just on some romance between Crowley and Aziraphale. It is bigger than that. It will be creative and exciting but l think it will have twists and turns. My guess is that it will have more focus on other things. We shall see!
Er.. if I submitted an entry tomorrow for the talent show, would it be valid? Sometimes the last day to submit being whatever date means you can’t submit after that, and sometimes it means you have to submit BEFORE that
Nope, it's still open. Are you trying to upload something directly, or using the form directly on the website? Feel free to email my business sendarya.public@gmail.com
I think Crowley is going to be the hero on season 3. He has to go against his best friend who is making bad choices to please the power of be. Everyone sided with Crowley because he wants earth to stay because he loves humans with all of their mistakes. I think ku poot will be the closest. 😂. I love this show and all the actors. Please bring back Gabriel.
This is a friendly comment about the outtakes lol. When I was in a vocal coaching class for radio broadcasting, one of the things the instructor was always hounding me about was that I kept pronouncing "for" in such a way that it rhymed with "pure." He tried to get it in my head to always pronounce it in such a way that "for" should rhyme with "shore." And every time I'd say it to rhyme with pure, (sounding like fur), he's say OPE, YOU FURRED! lmao. I got reminded of it when you were saying "thanks fur watching." 😅
It's the 30th person to correct me without seeing if someone already did! lol Thank you, though, I will make sure to pronounce it correctly in the future.
Hi I love your videos, but I really need to point out the potentially offensive way that you’re saying a word. ANANSI is from West African mythology. But what you’re saying is ANASAZI which is a name that was given to an unknown indigenous American tribe. It’s the Navajo word for “ancient enemy” and not the name the tribe would have called itself. The word alone is very controversial
