I have had them for over a year now on three separate bikes. The valves have not clogged for me. Do NOT put sealant through the valve. The valve cap is an integral part of the system as it pulls the valve core up keeping sealant out of the core. I personally love them.
Cool idea, if they work. But for $50, I'd rather just poke through the sealant of my existing valves, if I need to (not really an issue for me) and spend that $50 on something else for my bike.
So far they are working flawlessly for me. But I agree, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it, spend the money on something else. For me it’s more of a situation where if I’m already looking at a $35 dollar set of anodized valves, I’m willing to spend a few bux more to get this style valves
Eventually they do CLOG. I have them on two bikes and use Orange Seal Regular and Endurance. I may go back to Stans to test this out. I have contacted Reserve Wheels about this and still no reply. They should not advertise as No Clog. You need to periodically (approx 3 months) remove the entire valve, Dismantle it, soak in K2, clean everything off, & reinstall them with fresh sealant. yes, a lot of work.
I just received a reply from Reserve Wheels. Here is what they said.... "Usually injecting sealant through the valve itself will eventually lead to the valve getting clogged. I'd recommend taking the valve off the rim and soaking it in warm soapy water or isopropyl alcohol."
