I was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM and currently live here. I had my 2 daughters here but my youngest, my son, was born in Elizabeth City in 2005. I loved our time there. We were only there for 5 years but they were a great 5 years. I'm so happy you made it to the Cypress Creek Grille, which was easily one of my favorite places there. Thank you for these videos. It's fun to show them to my son now that he's older and can appreciate them. 🕊️🤙🏼

We do have a lot of fun on our trips. The trip to Elizabeth City was great. We did eat some good meals on this trip. We always like to find places to eat on trips that we don’t have access to near our home. So we end up at a lot of local spots. Thanks so much for watching and for taking the time to comment!

I agree with all the restaurants you mentioned,I have eaten at all of them. There are two others I would like to add to the list. The Colonial Cafe is an excellent place for breakfast. For lunch or dinner I have to recommend is Paradiso Roma Restorante, tremendous food and location on the water.
Definitely if it’s in the name, you should eat it! I agree with a bathroom that cute you need to film it! #1 looks yummy, looks like you got some special treatment for your anniversary! What a great weekend full of delicious food!
I always get a kick out of places that have cool restrooms. Of course now my tummy is rumbling after all the food talk! That pineapple dream drink sounded really good. It was so nice you got a little special treatment for your anniversary dinner! You don’t often see a baked sweet potato on a menu here, that was nice.

I lived in elizabeth city my entire life, great video! Just want to add if you ever go to hoppin johnz again. Make sure you try their appetizer called tobacco onions. You won't regret it. Elizabeth city also has great coffee shops and if you want some mexican food try 3 amigos. I love your video and hope you enjoyed visiting here. Make sure to visit us again!😊

Excellent eating in Elizabeth City...a quick question for you guys, we're going to be in Kansas for a week in July, seeing family and friends but afterwards we want to head out to one of the surrounding states by car...if it was you, where would you go? Thanks for watching our video. Glad to hear you will be visiting this side of the pond this year. We aren't sure where you will be in Kansas or how far you are willing to drive. So without that knowledge, if it was us, our first picks would be either the Ozarks in Missouri or the Denver, Colorado area. Some of these central states are big with lots of driving between points of interest. The good thing about these two areas we suggest is that they are used to tourists so there will be accomodations and other things to see but they are a short drive from scenic nature walks. Busiek State Forest and Wildlife Area in Highlandville, Missouri is lovely (more than 18 miles of trails - just a few miles from Branson, Missouri which has a lot of tourist attractions in case you want to spend a little time off trail - this is near the beautiful Ozark mountains in an area we love). Eldorado Canyon State Park near Denver, Colorado is very nice (great mountain views near Denver - lots of other places to hike in the nearby Rocky Mountains and surrounding areas). Gloss Mountain State Park in Fairview, Oklahoma is to Kansas' south. We liked it but I only remember there being one trail there so that won't last too long. There are other well known hiking trails to check out from there but it would be a bit of a drive in between them. Of the states neighboring Kansas, Nebraska is the one we have not been to yet. Looks like Indian Cave State Park is a good option in Nebraska with 22 miles of trails. We also haven't been to Kansas so there may be some nice trails there. We look forward to seeing videos of wherever you end up going!

It is always nice to get an idea where to eat when visiting a city. We do something similar and look at the reviews of the restaurants we are interested in. It is always fun trying something new. That pie looked good on your anniversary dinner!
I've Loved Andy's when I lived there I lived there for 7 years it was my absolute favorite place to eat for breakfast the food is real good and it wasn't badly priced either I definitely chose it over IHOP
