jeeezizzzz!!!!!! this song doesn't start untill jorma looks over at jack and smiles........and jack takes off on his bass!!!!.....then they all take off on their guitars..... this is a most awesome version of good shepard.
Once Jorma started fingerpicking he never looked back, I wish I could get it ,am old and can play ,but not giving up on it. Not a James Taylor fan ,but him also, what fantastic, soulful players.Love Airplane and first Hot Tuna album but lost touch after that.Hot Tuna is like The Dead , started loving them too long after their peak. I truly love this music
Jorma played live last night from his ranch. He never sounded better! Great! When his partner and Jorma says he had been practicing around the clock! Are you kidding me. Almost 80 years old! A real true pure musician and human being! This is some great playing. Jack has the greatest tone I ever heard on a bass.
It doesn't get better than Jorma & Jack! That said, I do miss Jack's stepping out more in a manner reminiscent of the Airplane and the earlier days of Hot Tuna. Two of the Very best!

Jack was outstanding this night. Just had my 1st show at the Flying Monkey a week ago on 4/5/18 with the boys! They did a most beautiful GS and Jack was on fire for it for sure. Proud Tuna Catcher since Commack 76’
Best of the Good Shep vids I've seen. Thank you for the post. Gosh, there's something incredible going on when Jorma & Jack take off on these jams. So so unique, so intoxicating.
The guy behind jorma and the other musicans is pete sears, who played a lot with jeff. starship as keyboard player and as bassist. in fact he's a good bassist too.
"Electric Guitarslinger", unlike "25 Years and Runnin'"(which can be purchased on the Tuna website as pointed out under "more info"), is out of print, although I am fortunate to have a copy. Your friend did a fine job on both historic projects! :)
