And the silly way JJ was acting after He came to help was the only objection that he had. He wanted for JJ to be more intelligent. Because of the constructive input, they decided to fire John Amos by killing of James.
Reminds me of my dad back then; not as big as james but was tall and a former amateur boxer..no one messed with him. And he was strict with us..best dad I could ever have hoped for.
reminds me of when I was probably ten and guy at the corner store (not sure of his age but I’m sure he was at least 17 or 18) slapped me and broke my glasses because I accidentally bumped him on the way in the door. My dad , who was a dock worker and not a small dude 😂 went back to the store with me. Guy who slapped me got all flustered and ended up apologizing to me in front of my dad. Will never forget that. RIP ❤️
John Amos was a strong fatherly presence. I still remember the episode with Michaels bully coming to stay over. James made him a quick member of the family, by introducing the belt aka repercussions for misbehavior at the Evans home. As JJ put it, he got "The Big Mac." 😂😂😂
People choose many different tv father figures but I always said James Evens was, for me, the strongest father in tv. Charles Ingalls (Little house on the prairie) is a close second.
@@henrycruz4966 I chose them because they would never belittle their wives, was the head of the house, and will whoop their kids if they started on the wrong path. They didn’t have much but kept the family together through it all.
Pretty sure those 2 hoodlums peed themselves when they saw the scary stare of James Evans - best TV dad 👍 JJ holding up his fists and bouncing around like a fool afterwards 🤣
John Amos was a strong man. 💪 I remember him not only in this part, but also as a warrior in the movie Beastmaster (which was a ripoff of an Andre Norton book).
