Goodbye... and hello 

I miss you Rene. Your voice was always one of my favorites in the tech space.

"You either die a niche topic channel or live long enough to see yourself become a commentary channel." ~Harvey Dent (to be perfectly transparent, I'd love to see you do commentary, especially WITH your bias as a RU-vid employee)

With Vision Pro coming out, not having you around to talk about it and go deep with the people you talked too is something I'll miss. Your Apple Chip conversations were amazing and so informative, unlike anything I've seen since. I greatly appreciated those. I understand the challenge of covering that now though as well.

That’s one line I never thought I’d hear from Rene Ritchie. “I have no f***ing idea.” Definitely made me chuckle. I think you have a talent of knowing what the response was to those big tech innovations, maybe retelling those stories and reflecting on how the tech landscape has changed from innovation to mundane. Calling for more innovation, and sharing the past with a new generation. At the same time, maybe that might be too much to ask of someone with a side gig RU-vid channel that works for RU-vid full time. Miss ya Ritchie.

For me the intellect you bring to the conversation will make what ever you decided to bring out worth watching. Glad to have you back!

I miss Rene videos. His Apple analysis and the thought that went into his videos was simply the best on RU-vid. I also miss hearing him on TWIT. I would honestly like to see a continuation of what you were doing in the past. Not necessarily reviews but thoughtful topics related to Apple.

Went back and watched your A15 chip breakdown this weekend; and was missing your videos sorely. No one else (that I’ve found) is doing those in depth types of breakdowns and making it so palatable and personal. I hope you come back to making Apple content eventually, or just some kind of something. If there’s anyone you can recommend for those in depth type of breakdowns, that would be nice too.

One of the things I have always enjoyed about your content has been your ability to provide a nuanced response to a hot take. It's something we don't have as much of with how sensationalized content has become. It's one of the reasons I have enjoyed Gamespots Spot On and The Kurt Locker series as well because they provide a nuanced and personal take. I personally would love to see more of that but I am just happy to see you make what you want and feel satisfied in doing so.

Rene, any tech news you want to cover is fine by me. ;) I like to tune in just for your great scripts and delivery! You clearly put a lot of effort into them and I appreciate it!

Well. I don;t think we should decide what's next. I mean, we can say a lot of stuff, but in the end of the day, this channel is sustained by what YOU want to tell us, and some people will like, some won't. Do whatever you like for a while, vary themes, see what brings more reactions and at the same time makes you happy to talk about it, and then its your new niche. If a niche is what you want. In other words, experiment a lot and see the results.I'm here to see what you'll come up with.

As a fan of both Apple and specifically of you, your story is one of the most compelling I’ve ever watched. From blogs to videos to representing us at RU-vid, I’ve loved every step. I would love to see videos about interesting intersection of Tech and Culture, Film and Entertainment, and the storytelling behind that. Tech is so woven into everything that we do now that it is hard for separate them. I think you can truly navigate this untapped space successfully!

Please let me say as a Android fan and user since day 1, I have always enjoyed and looked forward to your videos. One because I felt you gave your opinion and thoughts on something and yes it was mostly Apple but I felt I was getting the proper information on what Apple was doing as well as other subjects you discussed. I watched and enjoyed you not so much for the information its self, but your delivery. I thought you came across as honest and sincere and that is what brought me back each and every time. I miss those early days of the iPhone, iPods, macbooks.... It was a really exciting time in tech & you really appreciated the products you owned. Today, everyone has an iPhone, and the old excitement has lead to a sort of "meh" attitude, because we are so jaded and the new models look exactly like the last. But the iPhone 4, into the 5s, into the 6..... What an incredible time for content and tech discussion.

Sure the Apple News was exciting but your critical and insightful commentary on why or how Apple did something was the exciting part. I would love to hear your opinion on tech culture, tech mindset, product development, tech news, predictions, and more of the periphery of tech. It doesn’t, don’t, didn’t have to be tech itself.

I’ve always appreciated your perspectives, I sure hope you keep sharing your thoughts with us. Ai is totally going to change some aspects of life in major ways. And it won’t make a dent in others. These conversations are vital. I’d love to see coverage on the Rabbit R1 type devices, of which I think we get 1, maybe 2 generations before they fade away for not living up to hype or get scooped up by Google, Apple, Samsung and folded into current tech and devices. What I loved most about you, was the fact that you explained tech (especially Apple) in an objective, educative and understandable way from a different perspective. I think it’s really hard to work full time at YT and create content for your own channel. Don’t know what’s next, but I’m happy that you don’t “forgot” your channel.

Rene! It’s nice to see you in my feed again, I hope you’re enjoying doing well! I am unsure as to how you would structure future videos given the Google element at play. I will say, I used to love your AppleTalk podcast with Georgia, I listened religiously (you guys were my Monday night walking buddies). This is most likely MY bias showing, but I think your conversations with Georgia on the impact technology has on us on a psychological level were very enlightening/interesting. I imagine there is still a lot of content one could go over there, and it doesn’t limit one to just tech reviews (ex, how algorithmic feeds impact us/society, regulatory news and the “why” behind some of it). Perhaps I am going a bit too hard in the “reboot AppleTalk” direction though 😂. Either way, I hope both you and Georgia are doing well ! No matter the content of the future videos I’ll be watching them as your videos are always some of the best on here!

Id literally tune into anything you give your topics on. Your articulation has been unmatched so far in my subscription list. You would often open my eyes to something i may not of heard before.

One way to go about this would be to make rather technical videos pertaining to Apple's AI implementation, how you can build various modules on OpenAI to be used for Apple products, shortcuts, even various aspects of the DevOps cycle that might relate to Apple(that alone could take 100+ videos lol) - things like that.
