Maya am ur fan but Africa is not the future until we can get the right leadership, lots of us grow up in extreme poverty with no hope for business capital due to bad leadership and you want us to come back home. Good luck to those who can take the chance bcos I can't. UK gave me opportunity I couldn't get in Nigeria. I love Africa to the world but with caution bro maya.

Am in my 40s and I've been living in America for 20 plus years and though I thank God for the opportunity to have come here, I am still never truly happy here. You have to adjust how you talk, speak, act and hold down your true feelings here as a black man in so many ways just to live. I had little growing up in Africa but was happier in certain ways than now that I have certain improvements but at the expense of being fully accepted in a white majority country. Yeah, Ghana is not heaven but I feel free each time I go back. I pray to God and the Ancestors to not let me die here, but help me move back eventually.

As a Nigerian American woman, I applaud you and congratulate you as well. All the stuff you said Nigerians say the same thing as well, that’s why many of them buy land and houses in Nigeria or already have property they maintain. Even me that was born and raised in America, I appreciate the western worlds benefits of being born in America and won’t put America down in general as a result but at the same time what you have experienced I have as well and it’s made me appreciate being Nigerian and wanted to buy property and invest there for me and my future children. Nigeria has its faults as well, like corruption but at least you won’t have to deal with racism there, so I love Nigeria. It helps that my parents raised me in that culture as well. The world is changing, things are getting more harder to attain, so this is the time Africans should build up Africa for the future. I really believe Africa is the only safe haven for black Africans and other blacks worldwide. So if you have the money buy land and build a house for yourself not only for yourself but future descendants. Congrats 🍾🎊 again to you and your family. Good luck on the new business you want to start

My sister let's be real, we are not in the west to be loved or welcomed. Lots of us move out of Nigeria for economic and threat to our lives. My both parents were killed in mysterious circumstances in Nigeria by family members due to envy. I own a house in my town but can't sleep with 2 eyes closed. Am so scare of visiting home due to spiritual attacks. If my parents were still in the west they will probably still be alive, racism doesn't kill bcos u can walk away, but envy and evil people around you can end your life easily. I don't regret travelling out of Nigeria not one bit. I experience racism too, but at least I can sleep with my eyes close.

@gold9ja
@gold9ja 3 года назад
@@naijaderbytourer766 I agree, no argument from me. All Nigerians that leave Nigeria to go to America and other western countries is for economic stability and opportunity plus to avoid spiritual attacks. Plus I don’t see it as a bad thing cause almost all Nigerians(including my Parents) that live abroad in the western world wouldn’t have gotten the successes they had if they Stayed in Nigeria. It is what it is. That’s why I said earlier I don’t put down America as a Nigerian American cause I benefited from America being born and raised here but as Nigerians we endure racism as well but the hurdles of Nigeria are far worse so we pick our poison we endure but in the end of the day home is home. It has been said in the media years ago that 40% of development in Nigeria are a result of Nigerians living abroad in the western world, and it makes sense just watch Tayo aina and Wode maya channel on RU-vid showing some Nigerians that moved back to Nigeria after a decade or more to develop. In the end of day, they didn’t do that cause of the sake of it, they did it to progress Nigeria.

Thanks for this Video Sista. I am not a Ghanian but a German and i writing these lines with wet Eyes if i am listening to your voice and your experience in the so called civilized western world. Your experiences makes me very sad. I have been 15 years in Ghana between the 90th and the 2000th. I am living in Hamburg and in a mixed Area. My neighbors are Ghanians, Polands, Russians and Turkish People. In Ghana I have made one of my most beautyfull Adventures in my Life. I love Ghana and the People. To me Ghanians are the one of the most friedliest and loveliest People around the World and i have been in a lot of countries before. Here at my hometown i know a lot of Ghanians and i specially looking for to make friends with them. I enjoy the firendship and the companion. Hard working People and always friendly. In Germany we respect Ghanians because Germans know them like that: willing to work hard, be a part of the community, willing to help and willing to take responsability, just nice people. All these are qualities that are valued everywhere. That is why many Ghanians work as nurses in hospitals or in the care of the elderly or in kindergartens here in Germany. I can't understand the Australians, how stupid the are. And of course we have also such Idiots here. I believe they are everywhere. I see them as rats and cockroaches. Dont listen to them, i am sure they have some mind defects. For me to say, that i have decided to move to Ghana this autumn and stay there for the rest of my life. I am honored with Ghanian friends which I know for sooooooo long over 30 Years. I predict that in Ghana is a Future for a lot of people. Germans have start to escape from here, Ghanians go back there and i see that Ghana has a lot to offer who is willing to come over and help to build the country. And the propaganda about poor Ghana and all that bullshit what i hear from People saying, i must start to laugh, because they dont know anything. What i can say definetly is that if i am in Ghana i live more healthier, I have more freedom, I have more time, more Energy, just have a more more better life. I am longing for Ghana. We all here in this channel we know that Ghana is not poor, but the western world is taking everthing away from the natives. Like americans, the chinese, the arabs and many more are robbing and looting and plundering africa. Ghana is on its best way to be one of the leading countries if not in africa but in western africa. It is allright now. I predict a bright future for Ghana. Right now, Ghana is feeding with its crops over 2 Billion People worldwide. Yes you are reading right. 2 Billion Poeple. What a power. Which country can say that from itself? I getting my residential permit very soon, i take a wife having children and build a better life in Ghana. May our Lord bless you all and let us build a better world for our Children, all together as one, as Bob Marley is singing. I am prepared. Ghana I am coming soon, the lost Son comes back home.

I can relate with this, I feel u sis. I lived in Melbourne for 7years and could not take it anymore - I wanted my children to thrive in an environment where they fit in, I had 5 under 11 when we moved, we wanted them to make genuine contacts, experience the warmth of family and friends. Seeing the container dropped on your lawn made me smile, I did just that, packed everything and off we went. It was challenging but we kept our eyes on the ball, once my eldest had finished her junior sec school we came back again, we wanted the kids to be able to do their uni in Aussie which they are doing now, another move is on the horizon for my hubby and I again😛cos as the saying goes, East West North, home is the best. My First who was 11 when we left Melbourne, is now a Medical Doctor. My children repeatedly tell me that their best days was when we spent 4 years back home, they made friends that they are still in touch with. When we came back to Aussie we settled in the tropical north part of Aussie as the cold is not for us. Good luck sis, truly back home, more than not, does bring out the best in us after living in the west

I'm glad that Ghana is becoming a place that Ghanaians in diaspora can go back to. It's not the case for me as a Nigerian. I'd continue to live in the US until I'm established well enough to command a very high role globally. I'm currently working on my Masters with a focus to bagging a PhD from the top schools I've always dreamt about while in Nigeria: MIT Sloan, Stanford or Wharton Upenn. I feel the void everyday but I'm eternally grateful that I have somewhere to run to like the US because life in Nigeria is unbearable to say the least.

You said EXACTLY how I feel. I was born in the U.K. and have never felt at home. I’ve always felt like a a second or third class citizen. I’ve always felt like the British just tolerated me but never liked me. They would give you these pretend fake smiles but you knew that didn’t really like you. Even at work you feel like you are walking on egg shells conscious of not making any mistakes or else you’ll be summoned to see the manager. You don’t know who to trust because as you rightly said they smile in your face and STAB you in the back. When I’m in Africa or the Caribbean I feel so free and relaxed all the tension is gone and I can just be ME !

Sense of belonging is very important, providing motivation to contribute to development wherever you live! Many Ghanaians dream of leaving to Australia but the fact is Australia doesn’t need them. Ghanaian elites & those in positions of power have failed miserably to create opportunities for their citizens causing wave after wave of Ghanaians moving. You may enjoy panfool respect from Ghanaians when you get back to ghana 🇬🇭 because they feel they can benefit- you mention pretense, hypocrisy& outright hostility , it’s in Ghana also! In Ghana, you’re home so fight for collective freedom, justice & prosperity ! The overwhelming majority is impoverished & governance is anarchy. So are going to be part of the elites oppressing the poor or join the revolutionaries to transform Africa into paradise ✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽

WOW, I wish I can click the like button a thousand times! you're very inspiring, I hope your new journey in Ghana, is the beginning of a great new future. I totally agree with the statement about the covert racist, who thinks we're all stupid to know that they're just pretending to show that they don't hate us. That's the same story here in Canada, they're so afraid of being labelled racist to the extend that they'll even claim to have black friends.

Sister Korewaa I am coming. Been in the West for 26 years. Never step a foot on the soil of Ghana. But there has always been a burning desire to return. Unfortunately an event took place when left a sour taste in my mouth about Ghana. Slowly I am getting the desire to go back home again. The beauty of Africa is that an African can live anywhere in Africa, literally, without feeling out of place. Living abroad, I soon learnt not to see Africans as designated by country. My group of friends included Ethiopians, Ugandans, Zimbabwean etc.So I noticed also how Africans tended to have friends from certain parts of Africa of they were from say, the Southern countries, then their friends would mostly be from that part of Africa. That’s just the world we live in. So you choosing to go back to Africa is great and I hope you and your family are happy and fulfilled.
