nostalgia hits harder than a fully charged doomfist punch 😔

sometimes i come back to all of the dps doom compilations and get a little teary eyed. as corny as it sounds, i wasn’t havin a lot of fun with life in general, but coming home and playing doom was super, super fun. it’s not anything crazy like the character saved my life, but it did make it a little more bearable and i made so many fond memories, good friends, and wonderful moments playing him. rest in piece, my king DPS Doom.

Damn didn’t think I could be hit with nostalgia so hard from overwatch

I really wish they binded Power Block to like crouch or something (and make it so Doom can't crouch like Ball and D.va) so that he can still have his Rising Uppercut in OW2. I'm sure tank Doom will still be fun as hell but there won't ever be another hero like DPS Doomfist. As bad as he is, flying over the rooftops and absolutely dunking on people is a feeling only fellow Doom players can experience and relate to and I'm gonna be sad that this is technically gone forever.

Actually making me sad...I'm going to miss DPS Doom a lot. :(

You know? I kind of teared up a little when I saw this. :C 1:15 - still the most eye-opening slam I've ever seen! I'm going to miss 125/indicator slams. 3:57 - I remember seeing this clip and my jaw dropping for a solid minute! Like that awareness was scary fast!! 4:47 - there's never not a time where I DON'T practice this slam before the match begins and think to myself "I'm gonna do this slam one day, get a kill with it and show it to Zbra!" (Still hasn't happened yet but I feel so cool) You've accomplished so many things with OW1 Doom and for that you deserve a cookie! :3c

I miss dps doom so much man...

So much fucking respect. You took something that everyone played and had your twist to it. Honestly I feel like Doom is one of the few characters where you can do that in Overwatch. So refreshing to see someone so expressive playing a game like Overwatch, I thought you could only find this in fighting games. I feel like someone can point you out based on your play style alone.

Great choices for songs in this one, both of which instantly ripped me back several years on a fantastic Nostalgia Trip that matched the feelings of those early Overwatch days pretty damn well. 10/10

Here's the deal. I am that dude that really CANT deal with doomfist when i play overwatch. Making me hate him in the game. But i always enjoyed and respected the hell outta all these videos ZBRA. So freaking skillfull and nice edits. I kinda feel for you now they gonna make him that "non deadly tank" kind of character what he wasnt ment te be. Doomfist should be the fatal eagle coming outta the sky out of nothing giving me sleepless nights because i would still be wondering "where the f did he come from". Long story short. That seismic slam timed with the pile driver on Hanamura was one of the best highlights of any game I've watched ever.

Someone just has published an attempt of an ow1 version in ow2 and I tried the "dps doom" and even though it's not the exact same thing I surely had SO much fun using that doom and all the combos and mobility he has. They definitely should release an official game mode in ow2 where you can play ow1 so new players like me can try out those characters that in ow2 got reworked (like orisa, bastion, sombra, doomfist, cassidy's stun...etc) and og players can feel one last time that nostalgic experience. It's a W for everyone

With the 5v5 system, doomfist as a tank is really a hit or miss. Dps doomfist was a real chad. Good yet still counterable.

They should include retro versions of some heroes in Overwatch 2 for custom games like old Doomfist Parkour etc.

I’ve played overwatch since the beta, when I was really little. when I was 7 my father passed and to get my mind off things I played a lot of video games. overwatch, besides all the toxicity and unbalanced heroes and times where it made me mad, still holds a very dear place in my heart. i can relate zbra, take it easy man

although it does seem like by design doomfist was made to be a tank, i wont disregard the fact that tank doomfist sucks ass... only change they made is to remove the uppercut and put a silly defense thing that makes your M2 stronger, and buff his hp. that makes no sense :(

Looking back now, Overwatch 1 was fine to me. I didn’t mind 6v6 because there were no passives for each role, and no reworks. Sojourn probably wouldn’t have been an issue with 2 tanks. I still play Doom in Overwatch 2, but it’s not as fun as DPS Doom was. Edit: Okay, that was the nostalgia talking. 6v6 made games too long. But, I think it would be fun if Blizzard experiments with 6v6 in OW2 after all the passives and changes that have been made. Hopefully that gives us an excuse to get DPS Doom back lmao
