One Punch Man deserves so much more

I never played it, but I liked the theme song, and from what I've seen of the character creator, I really want that level of customization in a better game.

I absolutely love opm as a franchise. It’s probably my favorite anime/manga, but even I didn’t want to get this game. It kinda sucked cause I would’ve loved a great opm game, and I hope that this game doesn’t kill the chance of another opm game.

I mostly just remember when this game got a nomination for the Best Fighting Game of the Year

Honestly this game had some potential. What I miss from the old fighting games back on ps3 was when you made a character you could customize their normal forms and their awaken state like they did in this one I know it's nothing to big but that always was a cool thing for me plus I loved the city you could explore and side missions and all but it got to repetitive and the combat was definitely not good, but the characters skills awaken forms and abilities were cool I hope in the future we can get some devs to pull these details off like they did in this game but just better mechanics, story, and for God sakes a better open world😫

Honestly, what I remember the most is how impressed I was with how they implemented Saitama. When it was first announced I remember asking myself just how the hell they would make that work. No way he wouldn't be playable, right? But he NEEDS to be overpowered too So the whole "waiting for him to arrive" not only was hilarious, but very fitting. At least they tried to balance him with that Oh this and the title, I actually do love the title of "A Hero Nobody Knows" and I so wish it was used for a better game

I’ll remember it for being nominated as best fighting game of the year at the game awards

This game just made me so depressed, it came out at the peak of my OPM excitement after wanting a fighting game for it (I was ok with an arena fighter too tho), and it just dropped the ball in so many ways that I lost all hope for there being a good game for OPM at all

People may find me weird for saying this but I really liked this game and still play it today even though I've 100% and have done everything to that can be done

I do agree though the character animation was really stiff that is one of the big problems with this game maybe in the future they will try again with a new one punch man game 🤔

The soundtracks are similar because Toshiyuki Kishi, FighterZ's main composer, was the battle music composer for this game. Lately he's been sticking with these hard riffs after he got back into composing for Dragon Ball games in 2015, so he's just flexing his style

There were always people running around in the lobby on PS4. I was playing it when it shut down.

I'd love to see a similar vid about Jump Force. I believe it got some hate it didn't deserve. It wasn't that bad.

For what it was worth I think it was fun, definitely needed an update to combat for more engaging gameplay tho

Now the reason why one punch man's dlc is still around and jump force's isn't is because since jump force is a crossover game that has multiple series included that's probably a licensing thing while one punch man in just one series that also explains why jump force is delisted and one punch man is still here I could be wrong but that's what I think

i think a good representation of the level of care they put into this game is how if you buy the Garou dlc on xbox you get the Watch dog dlc instead. Its been like that for years.

man, I wish Bandai would just go back to J Stars VS+ and go with it. the game is really fun and I am sad that nobody plays it except me who's always queuing in hope of ever finding someone T-T

Like what happens with Sonic games most everyone tends to dislike, at the bare minimum the opening song and or music is good. But anyway when it comes to this one punch man game I keep seeing on sale but before I even begin to think about getting it my heart and my brain keep telling me not to and I don’t if it’s ever less than $5 then maybe I will get it.(but then again probably not?)

I don’t like that devs really start putting these games on sale more towards their creeping deaths and they don’t make it known anywhere during the pre purchase process or details that’s the game may be facing server shut down etc. I’ve seen this a few times before

What’s next for Spike? Like… they shut down two games in the same month… are they working on anything else anime? I can’t imagine so… but you never know.

I played while it died, I was so confused

I want to see an anime game with CaC on the level of WWE games or koikatsu or even just Soul Calibur. So far none of the anime games with CAC have come anywhere close to either of those. If someone where to do that and le you choose from a good variety of fighting styles, that'd probably be like the best character creator in video games for me. Hell, if the CaC wasn't so ass, I'd have played Jump Force (used) just for that. As far as gameplay goes, the whole "not meant to be competitive excuse is dumb, especially when you remember Smash exists. The problem isn't that these game "aren't competitive", it's that they're poorly designed to the point it's hard to have fun even at a casual level. It really shouldn't be that hard to make something at least competent. As someone who loves KLKIf and the general concept of arena fighters, it sucks seeing so many of them be so mediocre or outright trash.

I have a feeling a new One Punch Man mobile game will come out in the future and port it to consoles, mobile games are normally better than console games nowadays so I have faith they will make a good better One Punch Man game in the future, just look at Seven Deadly Sins upcoming game after a mediocre game like knights of brittania and now we’re getting a Genshin impact look alike, if SDS can be blessed then One Punch Man can 2.

I got the deluxe edition for $17. A pretty good budget game, but they had the audacity to charge full price for it at release. There probably won't ever be another One Punch Man official game so this being the only one is disappointing, but at least it's not truly awful.

Remember in games like, DBZ Ultimate Tenkaichi Budokai, or Bakugan Defenders of the Core, where you could create your own customized characters, but they weren't a muted anti-social person and they actually talked? Yeah, good times. (Also Defenders of the Core is a pretty good fighting game, you should check it out Globku. It's definitely more of a party game, and you can't create a girl, but it's really cool.)

I don't like custom chaarcters in fighting games. They don't bother me in shooters though.

This studio should never touch an anime fighting game again.

this game and jumpforce is what made me really not like spike for a long while I learned that they do make good stuff but the fact that this was opms first game and it might not get any more games because this game was trash really is so tough

Sadly it's not that rare for this type of stuff to happen in the music side of the videogame and especially film industry, people essentially copying eachother and adding just enough to have plausible deniability *(DB fans should remember Kenji Yamamoto...)* Now, I don't know as for the rest of the soundtrack, I'm not saying all of it is ripped off from somewhere else or anything like that, but at least the one you showed is what we could call "sussy as hell" to say the least...

I mean. It's obviously over. I didn't think this game have a future a anyway. One punch man has gotten more hype in the manga so i would like a 2d fighter with my favorite one punch man characters. We'll see. One punch man deserves another game but lets hope that games good at least.

I actually bought jump force because a sort of brainless fighter with a lot of fanservice is good for local play wtih my friend group since I'm the only one who plays Fighting games at an intermediate level so I thought it would be a cool party game for me and the boys, yeah that was a mistake in hindsight. Still glad I got it before the delisting for collection purposes though. The sad part is a lot of these animoo arena fighters have the building blocks for legitimately good fighters but they just never quite put them together right.

At least Jump Force is marginally fun to play sometimes with mods on PC
