Goodbye Tennessee | Leaving all we know... 

Erin I am 71 years old and moved many times over the years. I cried everytime I left a place too, but would always realize that the memories live in our hearts, not the location. Its a beautiful gift God gave us because no matter where we go, we take those moments with us. ❤ God bless!

I bet you will miss the seasons - such as they are in TN …. It’s a very sweet little home. You were amazing caretakers of that entire area too. Left it so much lovelier than you found it. I was always impressed by your flowers and ability to keep so much beauty growing around you. It’s SUPPOSED to be cold and snowy in winter!! Did you bring the piano?? *I remember on the TV show, watching you two move in after your wedding and you made Chad sleep in a full on pink four poster bed in a pink room. I vividly recall that and thinking he was an awfully kind husband. ☮️💜

I know the plans I have for you saith the lord.. I know happiness and joy will feel your new home… I’ve always loved to see you at the old home but looking forward to the new.. thanks for sharing your journey of life with us.. ❤

I ugly cried when y’all said goodbye to your Tennessee home. Seems like yesterday Erin was taking some of the Duggar girls to see her pink room. Blessings for your new beginning.

😭 I'm not crying, you're crying...no, I'm really crying. I feel for you Erin, we moved from Michigan to Idaho and left our oldest there for College but once settled in Idaho feels like home. GOD is and will be with you!

My life was so much like this , my dear husband George was a military man and our life took us all over the world till we retired here in Florida, I wouldn’t have it no other way.

Erin, I remember when my husband and me moved my stuff from Florida to another state to live. It was so hard to leave my parents. I couldn’t stop crying. But, each day got better as we began our new lives together. We found our church home and both of us had other family members living not to far from us. We are still here after many years. Oh my…..the tears were flowing right along with you Erin. So many precious memories inside the walls of that sweet little house. Chad said it right though, it’s bringing the kids into that house that made those memories. Just think of all the memories you will make while in Florida. My family and I made a similar move in July 2019. We left Auburn NY and transplanted in Pendleton SC. Best decision we ever made for a thousand reasons! It's emotional in the beginning. First Christmas was a little surreal. But then I found comfort in the woods, trees, curves in roads and realized how similar our area was to certain areas within the upstate NY area and my kids grades were outstanding. I am so impressed that you are fixing up the house for the new renters! I have lived in 2 apartments in my life and I I think I wiped down the bathrooms and kitchens and vacuumed the place before I left, but I never spackled or painted the walls. I always believed that those types of changes/repairs are up to the owners.

Erin, almost 30 years ago, God called my husband and I, along with our three young children (3, 5&7) from south FL to Oklahoma City. We packed what we could fit in a tiny U Haul that we pulled behind us (selling most of our stuff before we left) and moved 1600 miles to a place we had never been, no job, no place to live and about 2k in our pocket. We got here and within less than a week, my husband had a job, we got into a great house (we eventually bought it and are still here!) and opened so many doors to the ministry He called us to. You will be in awe of ALL He is going to do in and through your lives to His glory. He will turn those tears into joy,sweet Erin! ❤️

Y’all put a lot of money and labor into that rental. Your landlords have been blessed.

I'm watching this and crying with you, Erin. I've always highly disliked final walk throughs so I've tried to avoid them as much as possible. I think the house we brought our daughter home to from the hospital was the hardest house to leave. The moments and memories of our first (almost) 5 years with her at that house made it incredibly difficult to leave. We have been fortunate to make new memories at our new house as well. Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened. 😊

Bless your hearts. I get why it was so emotional. After 25 years I sold the home that my son grew up in & later we had to sell the home my mom & dad had for over 50 years after my mom & dad got their wings. It was so stressful. However, I found that nothing can ease the sweet memories. Also, the people who now live in those homes are making new memories. Sending your sweet family lots of hugs & love! Theresa from Florida

It's a happy time. You're moving forward in life. Be thankful that you can afford to do so. Some too many families are living in RVs, cars, and other places and would love a tiny house of any kind.

We recently down sized from a 2 story house of 25 years! Our children are grown & living their best lives! We now get to start making new memories in our new mobile home! I am much older than you guys (64), but remember our big move like it was yesterday! Left family and all we’d ever known in Tulsa, OK…To move for our husband’s job, to Atlanta, Ga. We moved with our 7yr old daughter and 3 yr old son, and big golden retriever. It was hard, but wonderful!! Took a while to make friends, many of whom are lifelong friends to this day.❤ We stayed there almost 10 years, and then returned home to help with aging parents. Nice being home, but Atlanta is our 2nd home and we do miss it. God brought great blessing and maturity through those experiences. 🙏🏻 God bless each of you!!

Girl I was crying with you! I remember leaving home for the first time at 19 years old I had married a soldier and I had never been home since we've moved so much over the last 10 years we've been married I completely understand you do find a new normal I promise!
