Skoda announced that they still want to focus on customer sport only. But reports that say VW will rent their 2016 and/or 2017 WRC's will keep the rumour mill running. We will see!

Volkswagen retired from WRC. All Polos were factory cars.

@@sathyasurya6438 M-Sport represents Ford in WRC. They are still in. But as far as I know there is no offical support from Ford. Citroen retired a few months ago, when Ogier decided to sign a contract with Toyota.

It is in terms of the win rate for WRC cars. Of course Citroen was very successful, but C4, Xsara, DS3 and C3 are different cars. Nevertheless Citroen won more titels. But by most successful WRC I mean one single car.

@@matthewruss C4 won 36 out of 56 WRC events (64%) while the Polo won 43 out of 52 WRC events (83%). The C4 won a lot of national rallys in addition, but one cannot really compare this to the Polo as it was only used for a handful of national championship runs.

It's not about beeing fan of a specific team or not. Most scuccessful is about the win rate of this car in this context. It won 42 out of 51 rallys. If you talk about teams it may look different, you are totally right. Otherwise: four years in WRC and four driver + four team championships isn't that bad, is it?

42EForest it is a successful team but Lancia had 11 championships in 6 years both construction and drivers. no misunderstanding my friend

Don't worry. I do not misunterstand you. Lancia is definitely one of the most successful teams ever. I really like their old rally cars, especially the Stratos.
