This video tutorial touches on three topics around goods traffic on the model railroad. How the goods traffic can be run on any layout, then how the yards can be planned to make it more fun and less troublesome. Lastely how to scratchbuild some details for your yards.
Goods traffic using waybills and carcards is great fun, alone, or together with friends. If you find this content interesting, then I would love to expand on it by doing more videos on the topic.
I hope you find this video inspiring.

Not a train hobbyist (found you looking for miniature makers), but I am intrigued with your videos and have become a faithful viewer. Your creativity and the simplistic manner of presentation appeal to me, and I look forward to each new video. Thank you!

Very interesting as to how eazy you make it look. I am in the US and never seen the cable box like that but I think its cool so I am going to try it on a section of my railroad. Thanks for these videos. I am trying different things out on my model. The one I like the most was turning toilet paper into water. it worked.

+Like #700... Another source of Brown colour is adding black to orange. Canadian Pacific has rebuilt EMD SD90MAC locomotives into >SD70ACU's in the 7000 number series. I related my being "Like #700" to CP Railway SD70ACU unit number 7000 of which I just photographed February 20th... You have a cool accent and I like how you present your material on model trains. That electrical Junction Box in my Street in Northern Germany is made out of Fiber reinforced Plastic, i think it might be some kind of Polyester Resin and quite coarse Glasfibers. And its painted Grey, sits on a concrete Base.

MoS: Once again an interesting Vid for planning/making railway yards. The cable trunks and lineside boxes were great. Tho I am surprised you made new wooden concrete trunking covers after lying the open trunk section. Why didn't you re-use the removed painted concrete covers and just cut them into single slabs to scatter around the visible cables?
@chrisridd9423
@chrisridd9423 4 года назад
John Crooks I think the foam would look too thick to be trunking covers.

How do you work with the Marklin K flex track for large radius? I can't seem to solder to the Marklin K track.
@sebastianstyrnol6275
@sebastianstyrnol6275 3 года назад
You need to make sure the metal is clean. You can solder the sides of the track profiles and the small copper vanes on the lower side of the tracks. In order to allow for quicker soldering, you may need to use flux.
@liliput50
@liliput50 3 года назад
Paul, Marklin K track is made of stainless steel you need to use a special flux for soldering

It's a pitty that you had to use such sharp-curved turnouts. I like your tutorials nevertheless.
@marklinofsweden
@marklinofsweden Год назад
Thank you! Yes, the sharp turnouts is a pity both from a realism and operational standpoint, but without them there would not have been at all possible to cram in all the functionality of the operations I wished for.. The sum of the design equation is always based on the priorities made, no matter the space available really.
