Awesome, the scene looks fantastic! You captured it perfectly 😉 the blend between the backdrop and foreground was done really well, it feels like a big vast landscape that stretches off into the distance. Keep up the amazing work 😃
Absolutely loooove this video!! I've spent many summer holidays along malmbanan, Björkliden, Nuolja and the view of the Lapporten is phenomenal! I still have to this day, NEVER had a better tap water than they have in the huts in Björkliden! Still remember the DM3's El-12's, the El-15' and the smell of iron ore along the track! I'll tell you something, you'll be having a hard time to better this video! Janne i Glasgow! 🤜🏻🤛🏻🍻👍🏻👌🏻👏🏻❤️🥇🏆
Good morning, it is impressive, the details, I am very happy to see these videos and many more videos of you, because I am doing my HO Scale train table, always remembering the talkes is very important. 👍🤗 Thanks ..... Luis Acosta.
Once again a really great video. I am late into model making, but have always been good with thinking and hands etc. so not a problem. Your ideas and way of construction for water (toilet paper) are really great; never thought of that idea. Rocks and road making are really great ideas. Many thanks for all your videos; I really enjoy them and look forward to the next one. Thank you.
Well, it seems that Belgium is going into lockdown, so I’m going to see a lot of these videos, most of them again. This is an amazing channel that will get me trough difficult times once more. I wish I had the same talent as this guy!!
Hi Martin, Thanks for sharing this fantastic tutorial. I've seen many... but nothing comes close to yours. The station looks WOW ! Light weight but sturdy - ideal for modular layouts. I've learned something new thanks to you ! Success & greetings, Filip
What a great tutorial! You covered everything really well from building to groundwork all in one episode. It looks fantastic and blends in nicely with the backdrop. Thanks for sharing this as I learned quite a lot.
Hallo Martin, Du baust einen Berg aus nahezu nichts! Beeindruckend. Hello Martin, you build a mountain from nearly nothing! Impressing. Grüße Greetings
Great detail in your video. Enjoy your presentation. Here in the states I use landscape cloth for contouring. It comes in 50 foot rolls for cheap money. It's good for lots of projects.
Absolutely brilliant. I loved the way you made everything look so simple and easy - when it takes skill, time, knowledge and patience to achieve such gorgeous results. Thank you for making and sharing.
Great video!! Would love to see you tackle making a drive in movie theater scene with a country road connecting to it. You’d kill it! Keep up the work, you earned a new subscriber here.
A nice video and that backdrop is stunning. A tip, if you mix some pigment with the plaster you dont have to worry about getting white cracks in the plaster. Thanks !
Even without understanding your language, I don't miss a video. Your tutorials are great. Just watching the videos I already learn something. Congratulations
Abisko is one of my favorite areas in sweden :) and nice work as always. The model fits fine there only a bit less birches behind it ;) . and the new (or maybe the old) beginning of the kungsleden would be great, even if the new one is on the other side of the road. Greetings from Hamburg, Germany
I think I might use 🤔 some of your ideas 💡. Jenny Kirk did a similar thing on her build with the paper towels and glue. I also really like your path method. Thanks again, Chris
Wow, vilken jättefin layout du gjorde. Den ser verkligen äkta ut. Dessutom var videon mycket informativ och detaljerad. Tusen tack för att du sätter upp dina videon.
Fabulous video Martin. I see you are going more and more towards realism, have you thought about mechanical cloud simulation for your lighting to make the vista seem like clouds are passing by or full sun comes out or dark clouds pass by. This should be an easy make. Clouds could be mounted on wires attached to wheels that move back and forth across your lighting. Alternatively disco supply shops have revolving lighting usually in bright colours but you could change those colours to whites and greys etc. It shouldn't cost that much and I'm guessing would help to create realism you are looking for. After all the sun is always changing its brightness and direction. Toby.
Hi! Thank you for interesting feedback! For the clouds I think I would go for projector and show video of the sky on a curved structure. It’s really hard to get the mechanics to behave realistickly I think..
Another great Tutorial, Martin. In addition to MR Video +, Luke Towan and Kathy Millat, you really are my favorite inspiration. Since you did "lumpen" in Boden, I assume that you are an artillerist (c:
That looks fantastic, Martin! Instead of spray glue, which I'm sure is not cheap, you might try using cheap unscented hairspray, the cheaper the better. The cheaper ones are often just diluted clear varnish, they work well for an adhesive for leaves and foliage.
Hi! I’m not sure if I agree there. A decent hairspray with ”strong hold” is about €5/ea. They don’t last long and the adhesive strength very poor. The spray glue is €12, but it lasts looong since the anout is about twice compared to the hairspray. It’s also a proper adhesive. I’ve been using hairspray for years, but moved away from that. Try the spray glue! You’ll like it.
Thanks for your amazing tutorial videos and very indepth explanations ... problem for me is scale .. I have not found a nice dm / dm3 in my scale 1:120 but I came a step closer with the self printed iron ore hoppers that I can scale down... Will keep looking though
Dear Martin, thank you for your helpfull videos and Tips. I will Join your Petrion asap ! I think about modelling Landscape e.g. Rocks, Walls or sth. like this by using construction-foam or assembly-foam
Sorry der Martin, Here the finalisation of my interrupted comment: do you have any Experiance in this Kind of modelling Landscape ? If "yes" pleased let me know your experiances and Tips für this!!! I think the please
¡Hola buenas tardes! As ever, a stunning video presentation and the content so well executed and narrated. My first attempts of scenics on my layout are now underway and, they include a hillside. Some of your techniques will be used to create a not-so-northerly scene. I’m about to embark on tree making and so, your tutorial could not have come at a more opportune moment. Thanks for sharing your skills. Stay safe and well. Un saludo. Gary
Ah Martin, that is spectacular....you make it look so easy. Thank you so much.. Btw my hubby is asking, where do you keep all your layout? Take care, from South Africa
Thank you! Well.. The layout is in the garage in my basement.. However, the ever growing number of dioramas and landcape modules for the railroad is a growing issue.. No solution yet.. Ideas?
I thought I was the only lady here, and then I found YOU, Val! My son is 12, and we are in the early stages of building a train table. This is SO MUCH FUN! Great video, Sir!
Hi! Thank you! It replaces the main station area. Stockholm / Karlberg station and city quarters out.. Lappland / Abisko in. I can tell you that it made a HUGE difference to the overall appearence! 😄
Wonderful video. Unfortunately i suffer from some terrible depression and have not really even been ablento get out of the house let alone work on my train :(
I just realized that a hand watch might be too big. So just take out the mechanism and hide it in the build, and have the rod sticking out and attach the hands onto it.
Hello from Portugal, excelent work, you are a gifted, thank you is a pleasure see your tutorials :) I have a question if you don´t mind. How can I recreate a natural tone of granite for my platform of goods warehouse
